I have never teared up leaving a hotel before, but that’s how much I loved our stay here. The staff was incredible, our room was beautiful, and the food was outstanding — what’s not to love? While sitting near the beach, a staff member came around cleaning guests’ sunglasses. They always say it’s the little touches that matter, and that was a real wow moment for me. I’ve had the luxury of staying at some amazing hotels, but that was a first! Dining at Woodend is an absolute must — the cauliflower dish was amazing. I don’t even care for cauliflower that much, but this one was incredible! I also loved seeing all the little critters roaming the property — such a fun touch of nature. My only minor complaint is that my husband and I joined a couple of the scheduled activities. Even though they were adult activities and there weren’t many kids on the property, they were held in the kids’ club, where the seating was limited to bean bags or child-sized chairs. I would have enjoyed the experience even more with proper seating. Overall, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had — and I can’t wait to come back!

Secrets Maroma is a beautiful resort. The musicians there are phenomenal. I especially enjoyed the pianist and the violinists. The spa is great. The rooms are very clean. The beds are very comfortable. And Oscar from entertainment staff has THE best dance moves and games. We had so much fun.

Amazing resort topped only by its spectacular staff and service. We spent 4 nights/3 days and by the second day everyone knew us by name and knew what we liked. Service, Food and property are top notch. Special shout out to our hosts Omar and Fernanda. No mater what we asked for their response was immediate. Though property is not all inclusive they offer a lot of amenities like an amazing full breakfast, snacks like fresh fruit, ice cream cones, passed around at the pool all complimentary... Also Water always available free of charge and in the morning they deliver a fresh pot of coffee to your room!. You tell them what time you want it, you open your door and its there!!! Food is great. We did eat at their steak house Woodhouse one night. I can say the food was fantastic but it also came with a pretty hefty price tag! All and all.... I can't wait to to back!

If you want your every need catered to even before you are aware of them, then Maroma Resort And Spa is a dream come true for you. You are greeted by name out front by your personal agent who checks you in on the spot without having to stand in line at a checkin desk. You are also offered complementary marguerites. You are then taken on a private tour of the property on your way to your room. Ours was a magnificent ocean suite fit for a King, Queen, and/or Lovers. Breakfast is delicious with lots of healthy choices, a beautiful view, and service to match. Next we met with one of our personal agents of the day to arrange our itinerary for the next few days. We decided on scuba diving based on the hotel property, a half day private tour of nearby Mayan archaeological sites , and a tour and swim in uniquely beautiful cenotes (ie open underground water caves with stalagmites). Then onto a pristine fine white sand beach with warm ocean water reflecting many shades of blue and green while gently lapping up against the shore while playing soothing lullaby like sounds made by the waves. Magically someone appears to clean your sunglasses, something I have never experienced or for that matter even thought of. Next lollipop cucumbers with spice, again another first. I could go on and on, and this is just the first day. But I am signing off so I can enjoy this blissful paradise unfettered. Stay tuned, you never know what new joyful surprise Belmond Maroma Resort will come up with…

What an amazing experience! The Belmond Maroma Beach was simply outstanding. The grounds were amazing and the service outstanding. We stayed in suite 60, which had an amazing waterfront view and was literally just steps from the beach. Special thanks to our host Francine who was attentive and provided outstanding service during our stay. Also many thanks to Elaina at the Spa for providing a truly excellent massage.

We had a wonderful stay at Belmond Maroma. Our group of family and friends enjoyed all aspects of this resort -- the delicious food, outstanding service, comfortable and well appointed rooms, spa treatments, gym and activities including Loteria (so much fun) and snorkeling. The food and services levels were excellent. (Can't say enough good things about it.) Two outstanding dining experiences were dinner at Woodend and a private beach dinner. This resort is very special, and I would highly recommend it.
