"Very nice hotel. All the staff are very attentive. Best buffet breakfast around. They have personalised egg station which seems to be rarer these days, and have lots of cold and hot food options. Also lots of gluten free options. They also serve curry chicken on the breakfast menu and it was AMAZING. Very good refreshing additional varied option to go with salads etc compared to typical eggs and bacon.
This is the second time we came back to this hotel, and the experience is consistently good.
On our second stay the only issue we had was with the AC. Everything was working fine but on our third and last day, the AC had switched over to become a heater (no change in the room controls), so ended up in a sweat and had to open the windows. Noticed that they have switched the rooms to all run on heater for the autumn as the city transition to the colder conditions. Would be great if the ac / heater option can be personalised in rooms."

"Had a great stay at H1898. Hotel is very centrally located and in a busy street of La Rambla. Bus stations and metro very close which was also a plus. Hotel was beautiful and very clean. My room was cleaned very well every day for which a big thank you to the lady who left my room tidy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would especially like to thank Laia and Iris from the reception for all the possible and good care! Big thank you dear Laia and Iris. A definitely recommended hotel. If I ever go back to Barcelona I would book here again without thinking!"

"Overall, our stay was pleasant. The room was large and clean. We didn't try the breakfast so can't say if it's good or not.
The day we arrived it was very late at night and we were exhausted, and the person at the front desk instead of continuing with the check-in and showing us to the room started asking us if we took a taxi because apparently someone else staying there needed a taxi too. So we had to wait at the front desk while they sorted out someone else's problem first, which was frustrating."

"I rarely give a hotel a negative review, but I really don't recommend staying here. A major issue is the terrible soundproofing!!! Both rooms were noisy! You could hear people talking, pulling tables, and walking and running in the hallway, upstairs, next door, and in the hallway! Even the kids next door running around made the entire floor vibrate. If you're noise-sensitive, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The room is small and a bit dark, but the location is great; there are so many hotels to choose from in this area.
Ctrip's butler, Xiao Wang, was very helpful. On my first day, he helped me change rooms because there was a wall outside."

"The hotel service was very attentive. The sea view room had a decent view, though unfortunately, there was a building directly in front of it partially obstructing the view. I thought mineral water was provided daily during the stay, but the front desk said it was only on the first day. However, for the last two days, the cleaning staff kindly provided bottled water, which I really appreciate! ^_^ The showerhead in the bathroom seemed clogged, and the water pressure was very low, making the shower experience not particularly comfortable."

The former is mainly cold food, including bread, desserts, cold cuts of ham, fruits, etc., and the latter is freshly made hot food. What's surprising is that there is a Chinese menu. There are many varieties to choose from, and the taste is also very good. Some of them are very suitable for Chinese tastes, such as omelet rice. The buffet part will also have a small amount of changes every day, which is rare in Spain. There was a problem with the shower button when I took a shower at night, but the overall service of the hotel is still very good.

The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. Although the room is not big, it is very comfortable. The only drawback is that I personally think the pillow is too soft. In addition, the faucet of the sink is a bit close, and the water will easily splash out if it is turned on a little.
Breakfast is a la carte and tastes very good.

MM.M.TI absolutely loved this hotel — it’s truly the best hotel in Barcelona! The classic and luxurious theme gives it a special charm. The room size is amazing; although it says 24 sqm, it feels much bigger, especially the bathroom, which is surprisingly spacious compared to other hotels.
One very thoughtful detail is that the room includes an adapter converter, which was extremely helpful for us with UK plugs. Another lovely touch is the chocolate they place on the bed every day after housekeeping — such a sweet gesture!
The location is perfect, right in the middle between the two most popular tourist areas. The Big Bus stop is also right outside, which makes getting around so easy, especially if you plan to use the hop-on hop-off bus.
I definitely recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again!

GGuest UserIt's a pretty good hotel, especially if you're traveling by car. It's conveniently located close to the airport, and the city center is only about a 10-minute drive away.
The rooms are quite spacious and look clean.
Breakfast was quite hearty, with options like hash browns and pancakes, and everything tasted good.
It's worth noting that all the elevators in this hotel are panoramic elevators, so those with a fear of heights should be aware.

JJamesZhao0258The breakfast was good, and the hotel's location was very convenient. In Barcelona, taxis were surprisingly easy to hail and a great option for groups, helping us avoid public transport – and thankfully, we didn't encounter any pickpockets!
Speaking of food, we tried four different tapas places, and Vintins was hands down the best, so much so that we ate there three times in four days! Going for lunch usually meant minimal waiting, but in the evenings, be prepared to queue for at least half an hour; even when we left at 10:30 PM, there was still a long line. The honey-glazed cod, grilled shell-on red prawns, shrimp and scallop skewers, and a €2.20 fried, croquette-like item were all incredibly delicious. Their desserts were also fantastic; the chocolate brownie, which I usually avoid, looked unassuming but was so good I ordered a second one after finishing the first!

MMbali ThusiThe hotel is in a great area close to the city centre and shopping Square and also close to the Metro and bus lines. The staff are very nice and amenities are good. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe in this hotel especially because it’s a LGBTQ+ but hetero friendly hotel. The beds are comfortable just be aware that the shower is see-through so if you’re sharing you will likely see the person taking a shower. The pool was also very nice for chilling in after a very long day of exploring. Just be careful of removing anything in the minibar. I removed some of the things and placed them on the table because I wanted to use the fridge to put my food and drinks that I bought myself . I unfortunately almost got charged for the things that I removed from the mini bar fridge even though I hadn’t consumed them. I did however explain to the receptionist that I returned all the drinks in the mini bar as I hadn’t consumed them.Overall I really enjoyed staying in this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Besides the devices，what I appreciated more is their service. The man （sorry that I don't know his name，who with Asian face） in front desk is really amazing！ We left our luggage for 2days since we needed to move to other city. They kept it well and when we went back to fetch， the guy lead us to a separate room for us to have privacy to sort out our stuffs in luggage before flight. That is really so much considerable！

GGuest UserWe ended up in this hotel because there was a problem with our pre-booked hotel. They try to clean the rooms well, I liked it, a nice, pleasant reception, thank you! I just didn't like the elderly man serving breakfast. On the first day, when I came for breakfast (I assumed that breakfast was included, because when changing hotels, the other parameters should not have changed), this man quite rudely asked me to leave, because breakfast was not included. It was unpleasant, he demonstrated everything as if he was trying to steal breakfast. And as a result, they save on champagne at breakfast. They put one bottle and do not change it for a very long time, after the previous one is finished (we still went to breakfast on the following days)

From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient, always with a genuine smile, and patiently answered all our questions. It wasn't just the front desk; every staff member throughout the hotel, from the pool attendants to the restaurant servers, made us feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued. My elderly travel companions are quite particular about their food, and they had a few unconventional requests. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate them, and that feeling of being prioritized was truly wonderful.
The room's view also deserves a special mention! The moment I pulled back the curtains, I was absolutely stunned. The panoramic sea view outside was breathtaking and magnificent, with planes occasionally flying by. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and at night, you can see countless lights twinkling. Even at midnight, people were everywhere on the beach, chatting, playing beach volleyball, and even doing Western-style line dancing. Every photo you take turns out picture-perfect.
Facilities and dining also didn't disappoint. The outdoor pool environment was fantastic; just soaking in it and enjoying the view was incredibly relaxing. The breakfast spread was super diverse, offering a full range of Chinese and Western options, hot and cold dishes, fruits, and desserts. Every morning, we started our day feeling satisfied and happy. For dinner, we opted for a set menu, and the portions were incredibly generous – enough to easily fill two people, and the taste was spot-on.

ZZhao Xiu binEverything were good, except air-conditioning, it only have fan ventilation therefore the room was very hot, show on the thermostat was 27-28 degrees during day time, night time had to turn on the fan, even outside temperature was 16-18 degree. Bed is a bit hard for me.
