"The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the pier. Contrary to some rumors, there was no excessive motor noise in the morning or air pollution. The environment was comfortable; although the room was a bit small, it was very clean. Overall, the service was good with daily cleaning, though the staff seemed a bit short-handed during check-in and check-out times. The breakfast was plentiful, offering a buffet along with freshly made coffee and stir-fried noodles. The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle, which was punctual and convenient. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just about a ten-minute drive from the airport, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The room design allows you to enjoy the ocean view right from your bed, and the water is incredibly clear – you can even spot fish swimming from the 10th-floor balcony. We had two bookings, totaling five days and four nights here, and every moment, from the first light of dawn to bright sunshine, from dusk to a sky full of stars, we were mesmerized by the stunning beauty. 🥰🥰🥰 The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. They'd greet me in the hallways, and the staff at the entrance and in the restaurant would chat with me daily, asking if I'd rested well and what my plans for the day were, which I found particularly heartwarming. As a solo female traveler, safety is paramount, and I truly felt like they genuinely cared about me, always ready to welcome me back, which made me feel very secure when I went out. The two restaurants on the hotel's 2nd and 8th floors offered almost all common dishes, and they were both healthy and delicious. I didn't eat out at all during my five days there. I especially want to mention the 'Six Views in One Day' tour. I really dislike joining tours with fellow countrymen, as I believe traveling is about meeting interesting people and experiencing interesting things from all over the world. So, I didn't book through the popular apps we usually use. Instead, I emailed the hotel in advance and booked their 'Black Swan Adventure'. There were 11 of us in total: a Norwegian couple, an Australian couple, a French family of three, three sisters from Asia, and then me, the lone 11th person! 😄😄😄 I had a wonderful chat with the guide, and I'm especially grateful to him for taking so many fantastic photos for me. ❤️❤️❤️ And the staff member who guided me with a swim ring – with my limited swimming skills, I would definitely have been swept away by the waves if I'd tried to paddle alone. He even used my phone to dive to the bottom and take photos of a sea turtle. At the end of the trip, someone mentioned wanting to Airdrop, but there were many videos (which might have been pressed out by water pressure through the waterproof bag), and the one I opened, thinking it was it, turned out to be nothing. So I'll just include it in this review, in case they see it. Overall, it was a very nice and unforgettable trip! If I ever get the chance to visit Komodo again, I will definitely choose Katamaran! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻"

"A Beautiful Stay with Amazing Sunset Views 🌅 I had a really pleasant stay at Loccal Collection Hotel, Labuan Bajo. The hotel has a beautiful Santorini-inspired design, with white buildings built along the hillside and stunning views overlooking the harbour. The highlight for me was definitely the sunset view from the pool area. It is one of those places where you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery after a day exploring Labuan Bajo and Komodo National Park. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, while the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast also had a good variety of choices. The location is convenient for exploring Labuan Bajo, although the hotel is situated slightly uphill, so getting around is easier by scooter or car. Overall, Loccal Collection is a great choice if you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing and Instagram-worthy hotel with spectacular views. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for a stay in Labuan Bajo!"

"This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit. Thank you so much to everyone here, and I will be back again."

"I recently stayed at Seaesta Komodo Hotel for 2 nights. Overall, I had a decent experience, but there are a few things to note. On the positive side, the location is quite convenient and the bed was very clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were also polite and helpful. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The shower pressure is low and not enough hot. No slippers and laundry bags are provided. Overall, it’s a good place to stay, but some upgrading would greatly improve the guest experience!"

"I really regret not discovering this hotel sooner! The hotel has a very quiet, Southeast Asian vibe. The service is also much better than hotels near the main tourist street. They offer yoga classes, morning Zumba on the beach, and even a diving club. I stayed at three different hotels in Labuan Bajo, and if I come back, this will be my top choice. The only thing to watch out for is mosquitoes in the room, but the front desk will provide mosquito coils if you ask."

"The room was large, the bed comfortable, air conditioning worked well, friendly staff, and free tea and toast for breakfast. To reach the reception you have to climb 66 steps, which leaves you out of breath very quickly. At first glance the room looks nice, but unfortunately it hasn’t been properly maintained: limescale buildup, a clogged drain, and water damage on the ceiling. Value for money is okay, but you need to be familiar with Asia — otherwise this hotel is not for you. PS: You will also find centipedes of various sizes in the room."

"First off, I want to say that the hotel staff and front desk were all incredibly friendly and helpful. A big shout-out to their breakfast take-away service, which is a lifesaver for anyone planning a day trip out to sea! If you know you won't have time for breakfast, you can arrange the take-away service with the front desk in advance. The hotel's breakfast runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, but most day tours to sea leave around 6 AM. I've attached the take-away menu for reference. The hotel itself is very new and super close to the airport, about a 10-minute walk. They also offer airport shuttle service, but remember to email them in advance to book your pick-up. Just a heads-up, avoid emailing on weekends – I did, and the hotel missed my email, so I ended up dragging my heavy suitcase to the hotel, which was a real drag. Also, the rooms don't have openable windows; they have sealed glass floor-to-ceiling windows. This means no smoking in the room, and ventilation isn't the best. Since it's a new hotel, there's still a slight 'new hotel smell,' so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to that. However, since I was usually out at sea all day and only in the room at night, I wasn't really 'holed up' in the hotel, so it was perfectly acceptable. I was just happy that everything was new and clean, haha!"

Here's a breakdown across four aspects: environment, service, details, and activities. **1. Environment: A Hidden Tropical Paradise** The hotel is nestled along the coast of Komodo Island, boasting a private beach with crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand. The entire resort is enveloped by lush tropical vegetation, meticulously preserving its original ecological landscape. Guest rooms and public areas are thoughtfully spaced, ensuring absolute tranquility – day and night, you'll only hear the gentle lapping of waves and the chirping of birds, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle. **2. Service: Attentive and Welcoming, Making You Feel at Home** The hotel provides a dedicated butler team for each guest. We were looked after by our room butler, Mr. Daniel, and his team throughout our stay. They maintained instant communication via a WhatsApp group (WA group), responding swiftly to everything from itinerary suggestions to daily requests. What truly touched me was when I experienced sudden abdominal pain; my butler proactively inquired and quickly brought medication, a level of care that went far beyond standard service. Upon check-in, welcome drinks, a special fruit platter, and complimentary mini-bar beverages were already prepared. At check-out, we even received handmade cookies as a travel snack – these thoughtful details highlight the hotel's meticulous care for its guests. **3. Activity Experience: Rich, Diverse, and Full of Rituals** The hotel organizes various activities daily: - **Ocean Exploration**: Snorkeling and boat trips are led by professional instructors, allowing guests to explore coral reefs and tropical fish directly in the hotel's waters. - **Signature Dining**: Sunrise breakfasts and sunset dinners combine gourmet food with natural scenery, creating a romantic ambiance. - **Cultural Experience**: Evening traditional dance performances vividly showcase Indonesia's cultural charm. - **Environmental Action**: Most unexpectedly, the hotel plants a tree in Bali in the guest's name and provides a photo, giving the trip a meaningful, sustainable dimension. **4. Overall Impression** From the quick check-in upon arrival and daily butler follow-ups to the seamless check-out process, there was no unnecessary waiting throughout our stay. The hotel infuses a human touch into a luxurious vacation – offering both the secluded feel of a private beach and the sense of belonging fostered by the enthusiastic team. A special thank you to Butler Daniel for his meticulous arrangements, which made this Komodo trip not only comfortable but also a memorable experience with a story to tell. As of now, this is truly the benchmark for island resort holidays in Komodo."

"Pros: 1. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service. 2. There's a private snorkeling area, which was a great experience, especially since we didn't book a liveaboard. Cons: 1. No internet, no internet, no internet! Apart from a few rooms on the hilltop, most rooms have extremely poor mobile signal (you can barely receive messages). WiFi is only available at the front desk. The management's excuse is that they ”don't want external noise to disturb guests,” but it's one thing if I have it and choose not to use it, and quite another if I need it and it's not available. If you need to stay consistently connected, this hotel is definitely not for you. 2. Prices are quite high. Since it's on a private island, a slight markup is understandable, but sometimes the prices are ridiculously high. For example, the hotel organized a beach buffet for 700k Indonesian Rupiah, which is about 300+ RMB after tax. The seafood options were only grilled shrimp, squid, and fish (the first two were served very slowly), and the only meat was grilled chicken skewers. In contrast, on the main island, we bought two large lobsters, two mantis shrimp as thick as a woman's arm, and even got two free squids, all for just over 700 RMB."
