Spa Hotels in Dalat

"This hotel needs a rebuild, or at least a comprehensive renovation. It's highly overpriced in its current state, perhaps still attracting guests like me by the Muong Thanh name. Almost everything is old and worn out. There is only one reachable power socket in the room, not on the bedside. One bedside table lamp had a broken inline switch, which hangs out of view, and is a shock hazard as one touches it. When I reported this, they just took the lamp away. I had to ask for a replacement again as that was the only nighttime light one can reach. The bathroom is very dimly lit, shower flow feeble, and shower gel and shampoo too little even for one person. No conditioner. Breakfast service is mediocre. Empty dishes and coffee carafe were not replenished even after 15 minutes. After someone spilled coffee, nobody came to clean it up."

"Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel It’s true that the last time we stayed at the Dalat Heritage Hotel was years back. It had a different name then too, when it was, we believe, under a different management. The place was beautiful, with vanished wooden floors, beds with canopies and bath tubs on steady golden legs. Golden taps and fresh looking bathroom tiles. Most importantly, it was clean, the cushioned chairs felt firmed, the rooms & bathrooms brightly lit. It was an equivalent if not better than the Raffles in Spore. We decided in our latest trip to stay at the now Dalat Heritage Hotel for two nights, 23 & 24 July 2025 . We learnt that it had changed hands and while we expected it to have aged, we thought most hotel managements, would have done some upgrade, some renovation some replacements of essentials. Sad to say, our stay was a tremendous let down. I’m trying not to use the adjectives “traumatising experience” and will not offer photos, so that the hotel has an opportunity to spruce it up and bring it to its former glory. The property has too much potential & history to be abandoned by visitors to Dalat. We stepped into a an old, tired looking lobby. Waited a long time to register and was told to expect welcoming drinks which never came. We girls had to use the “ladies. ” another disappointment. It was old, the flush was a pull up lever which almost didn’t work. The taps were tarnished. We finally got into our rooms. The floors were scratched, not quite the varnish, but we thought, it’s ok, a little authenticity, somethings must age. The beds still had its canopy, but the linens looked worn, tired. The little table with its two cushion chairs were well placed, but the cushions were totally worn, we could feel the base of the seat. There was a dressing table, thoughtful… but then there was no light for any lady, vain or otherwise, to apply her war paint. The room was badly lit, no extra lights at the dressing table or anywhere. The stand alone cupboards were large, but dark as well. I almost missed the black hair dryer kept in there, and we couldn’t find the room slippers and had to ask for help to locate it in the cupboards. The most disappointing was the bathroom. It was badly lit as well. The taps were all tarnished and without my glasses, I could see the bits of mould growing around the base of the tap. There was also limescale deposits. The floor tiles were badly worn, and I wish I could say it gave the bathroom a feel of the grandeur of yesterday years ageing gracefully, but hygiene is too important here to do so. The highlight was when we took a shower and stepped into the bathtub supported by “stone legs.” It wobbled continuously and made such a lot of noise that kept the user on edge. Then, we saw it all, the grouting of the wall tiles were caked with black moulds. To top it all, the bathroom had a stench of clogged pipes. It stayed with us like a faithful friend that won’t leave even if we tried pushing him out the door!! Did I mention the mosquitoes that bunked in with us? They bit my friend on the face & eye lid which swelled for 2 days. In the mornings, they sounded the wake up calls around our faces. If it had been possible, we would have cancelled the wake up calls. Breakfast was good. There was a good spread and the chefs behind the counters were friendly and all smiles. However much could be done to train the waitresses, who hid in corners. I asked one of them where the toaster for the bread was, she said there was none. I found it on the second morning. It was there all along. I guess her English needs polishing. Luckily, the porters were friendly and quite quick with umbrellas as it rained the whole 2 days we were there. On the whole, the hotel had a handful of local guests while we were there. I hope they chip in, in encouraging the hotel to relook at its offerings. We would really like to go back, but perhaps, only if someone wrote a review that says otherwise."

"Nice hotel, generally within 500 meter radius you can find everything, from cafes to pubs to the night market & shops. Breakfast is generous. Staff are very polite, helpful & friendly. It's a tourist hotel so be prepared for noises & loud conversations . Not the hotel fault, just the guests. We had a room next to the lift & we didn't get to sleep due to the noises from guests talking & laughing & hauling luggage. Also sounds from the streets till wee hours because the window is not soundproof. So do ask for room that's away from the lift area & not facing the street. Everything else is fine."

"Individual and nice rooms. Bed a bit to soft for me. No coffee machine in the room. Breakfast ok and dinner in the restaurant just ok Overall everything like in the description and a good place in DaLat."

"10/22 I came to stay for one night on a business trip. The room was okay. The result of my executive bed room was a tatami-like room. The window was open before check-in, so the quilt was a bit damp, the altitude was high and there was no air conditioning, so it would be a bit uncomfortable. The water in the bath was very hot and the water was very fast at first. There was no hot water in two minutes. The temperature was reduced too fast and it was not comfortable to wash, so. . . Just sauce purple"

"The hotel is located separately from the city so the atmosphere is great. At night you can see the stars. The receptionist is cute and attentive. When the whole family arrived, they also gave us tickets for the evening buffet. However, the garden view on the first floor overlooks the restaurant so we can't see anything. The family next door is very noisy. At 1am, I couldn't sleep so I called the receptionist. They also didn't show me how to close the mesh window overlooking the garden because it's very difficult to close and doesn't block the noise."

"Thank you for switching to Valley View Twin. The breakfast was so delicious that I ate my fill all three days, and the massage was nice and friendly. It's close to the lake, so it's great for a walk. Good for moving to the city center, such as the night market. The staff were very friendly, so I had a comfortable stay. Valley View is quiet so I don’t wake up. If you are sensitive, please request valley view. However, the room facilities seem a bit old and need renovation. If it has sophistication, I would give it 100 points. I'll give it a 90 and I intend to visit again."

"Great staff all over the resort, always smiling and no rain or cold weather can dampen their moods. My room card was accidentally disabled and just by reaching out to a near by technician, he immediately understood my issue despite language barrier, within 3 minutes someone ran to me to open up the door. The villas are far away from the reception. The surrounding is so beautiful and peaceful. I love that the resort plants their own vegetables. There is a shuttle bus (not very frequent) bringing you to town area which is abt 20+ mins drive away. There is a mini mart in the resort for basics including wine and beers. Very family friendly too as there is a theme park within the resort. The interior of the room(I stayed in a villa) is like the chalet type. If the resort can do minor touch ups to the rooms, this hotel will definitely get its 5 stars!"

"We came as a family of 3 and chose the superior triple room, which was spacious and large enough for our luggage. The bed was soft and firm, and we slept well. There was no dust in the room. We tried to wipe the edges of the windows. The hotel is located near the bus station that we used to travel back and forth, which was very convenient. It was also close to the city center. We could easily rent a motorbike to travel. We returned to the hotel in peace and quiet. The reception staff provided good service and recommended local restaurants that were very delicious. We had to leave our bags because we chose to travel back by the midnight bus. The staff allowed us to leave our bags and sit and wait for the time. The breakfast was Vietnamese style. The noodle menu was spicy and delicious. It was eaten hot and suited the city atmosphere. Our family was impressed. It was a pity that we only stayed for 1 night."
