Primrose House St. Ives

Really pleasant vibe as soon as you enter this hotel, really relaxed. Easy parking and check in, room nicely decorated and excellent waterfall shower. Very nice breakfast with what seemed to be good quality produce and the Cornish brown sauce was delicious. Would highly recomend.

We booked a last minute night here and I am so glad we did! We received a lovely warm welcome, a beach practically on the door step and a less than 5 minute walk into St Ives. We asked for recommendations for dinner and chose to eat at Talay Thai (my goodness it was good!). We stayed in Room 4 which totally exceeded our expectations. We had a lounge area, a ginormous bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower and a decent sized bedroom with a comfortable bed. Finishing off our stay with a wonderful breakfast and great coffee! To sum up; great location, lovely staff, beautiful decor, fabulous food and coffee. What more could you need! We would 100% return to Primrose House!

Fantastic place to stay. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Beautiful building, comfortable rooms and an ideal location. On the coastal path so ifeal for walkers to have a bit of luxury after a hard day hiking. Great sourdough for breakfast too!

A perfect stay to end our Cornwall road trip. Only stayed for one night but could’ve spent a week here. Very friendly staff, perfect location, clean facilities, delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit St Ives.

I've seldom felt so motivated to write a review of an accommodation facility. We stayed there for 4 nights and it was great! People who have criticised this place, mostly a while ago, leave me dumb-founded. Stuff about access, breakfast service, etc are all so well explained and justified, EG we were told breakfasts are cooked to order and may take a little longer. They did, and they were well worth the wait. A highlight in fact. If you've been to St Ives, you'd know you shouldn't plan movement around the town by car. Narrow lanes and tourists everywhere. Primrose House offers a rare alternative. Drive down a rather interesting one-way lane, park your car, and walk everywhere. Access to the beaches, shops, restaurants, etc is easy on foot, even for us older folks. The building is charming and well maintained, not tired at all, and the service from Mihaka and his team was friendly and efficient. I would wholeheartedly recommend Primrose House as the place to stay in St Ives.
