We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely small complex right by the sea with free sunbeds and umbrellas. Our room has fantastic sea views. Our room was cleaned every second day. Our receptionist, Evalina, was so kind and informative. Great restaurants are beside you and the bus stop across the road for the bus into Chania. I would definitely go back here again.

The hospitality of the place is truly genuine, you feel at home instantly. No matter what, they help you out. A very quiet place at the beginning of the beach, you can easily relax at the balcony with just the waves sounding. No rush in the morning to get ont of the (free) sunbeds. We went for several walks up and down the beach and no other hotel felt better than Girogialis. The other hotels are more classic tourist places with a lot of people in the crowded sunbeds. Room with big bed, excellent air conditioning, bathroom is fine. Calm. Relax. Enjoy the beach just a staircase down from the pool area. We also had a kind surprise from Mike to celebrate our special occasion. So touching! We can’t wait to return. Love this place!!!

This is a lovely hotel. The owners are so nice and made us feel very welcome! It was at the end of the season and we got three lovely rooms with balconies next to eachother, with sea-view. One minute from the room to the lovely Kato Stalos beach. The bed was good, and the air-condition very quiet. We had a lovely holiday at this hotel and would highly recommend it. No noise from the busy road behind the hotel. We changed hotel during our stay in Crete and fully experienced how much it means to have a mangagement who cares for their guests. We were leaving for the airport late in the afternoon, and got to keep our rooms till we left.

We stayed in this hotel/apartment for 10 days in July and we really liked the location. We booked a room with partial sea view on the first floor and we loved waking up and having breakfast looking at the sea from our balcony. The apartment is equipped with a kettle, some cutlery, (handy for when you get takeaway food) a wine opener, fridge that has a freezer section in case you buy ice creams, hairdryer, tv, and chairs & a small table on the balcony. Beds are ok and the room is a nice size, the only thing that could be better is the bathroom. Every time we showered the water would go outside the shower, which is a bit small especially if you are above 6 ft tall. The hotel has a pool and you can use the sun loungers if you spend at least 6€ at the bar, ( they have fresh juices so we didn’t mind it at all ) also the beach is right in front of the hotel. The location of the hotel is just perfect, close to 2 supermarkets and also to a friendly fast food ( healthy one) that makes amazing gyros for 3.50€ and many others delicious things at very good prices. Our favourite restaurant for romantic dinners nearby is KriKri, has a sea view and their meat and fish platters are very very good! I am really happy we picked this hotel, the staff was super friendly and helped us a lot, they booked taxis for us and called the ferry company to help us with our tickets and also arranged other tours to see Elafonisi and Gramvousa. Most of all we loved passing through the reception to see and pet their super cute dog Bobby. We already can’t wait to go back.

I find this extremely funny how my stay at Girogiali was not what we booked and yet when asked to leave a rating online, giving them ‘3 star’ didn’t cut it. This is not the type of behavior one should receive when leaving a review. I’m sorry but if you can’t handle the feedback then get someone else to do it. This was extremely unacceptable and it felt like I was dealing with a child! Email after email just because they were not happy with a review. Incredibly unprofessional to say the least!

Nous sommes très déçue de la chambre numéro 1 qui nous a été attribué. Nous avons réservé une chambre avec vue sur mer et vous imaginez la déception quand nous avons découvert notre chambre avec vue sur le jardin, le chemin de la piscine et très très loin d'une vue mer. Pas du tout des vacances de rêves.... Je fête mon anniversaire demain je comptais me réveiller dans une chambre avec vue sur mer je suis extrêmement déçue. De plus nous somme à côté de la réception et du passage au rez-de-chaussée nous avons aucune intimité avec mon compagnon et nous sommes obligé de garder les rideaux fermé car tout le monde peut nous voir, géniale les vacances de rêves. Je vous déconseille de réserver dans cet hôtel au risque de vous retrouver avec une vue comme la notre qui est extrêmement décevante et n'est absolument pas une vue sur mer.
