We have been staying here before the pandemic, and even after the re-opening of borders, we came to Taiwan almost yearly and stayed here. Cleanliness is tip top and service good. Location is preferred if you are travelling to other counties using the train. It is also near the MRT Bannan line. However, since late 2024, no more toiletries amenities been provided, not even mineral water. Although there are water collection points, the management should at least look into providing a jug or something for users to collect the water with. Not every foreign country has the same practice of carrying their own tumbler wherever they go.

Located in the heart of Taipei City, the Grand Hotel (Taibei Yuanshan Dafandian) offers a panoramic view of Taipei City, including the meandering Keelung River before the hotel, the verdant Yangming Mountain to the rear, the bustling Songshan District to the East and beautiful Tanshui River to the West. The Hotel provides free shuttle bus service every 20 to 30 minutes, and it is eight minutes’ drive from Yuanshan MRT Station, ten minutes’ drive from Shilin Night Market and a 15-minute drive from Taipei Station and Songshan Airport. Taoyuan International Airport is about 60 minutes’ drive away. Chinese and Western cuisines are served at the hotel’s Grand Garden Restaurant, and Cantonese cuisine is served at Golden Dragon Restaurant. Alternatively, Northern China specialties can be found at Yuan Yuan.Business travelers can make use of the hotel’s multi-functional conference rooms and banquet halls to host conferences and events. When it comes time to relax, make sure to take a dip in the outdoor pool, head to the fitness center for some invigorating exercise, or have some fun in the game room. The hotel offers free parking and Wi-Fi access in public areas.

The Grand Hotel is one of the most famous hotels in Taiwan. It has a lengthy history as the first five-star hotel in the island. After living in Taiwan for a few years I decided to stay in the hotel to see what it was like. My impression is that the hotel is kind of old and is showing its age, but on the outside it still looks very distinctive. Good for taking photos. There is also the very large outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts that you can use for free, though the tennis courts seem to be fully booked at all times. I booked a room without a window to save money. The room itself is fine and I have no complaints about it, though for the price you can definitely get a bigger room elsewhere in Asia for sure. But I am already familiar with Taipei hotel prices, especially on weekends, so it is what it is. What was actually underrated about this hotel is that you can do a short hike behind the hotel and see great views of Taipei including the Taipei 101. Best to go visit on a nice day so you can get a clear view of the skyline.

The Mandarin Oriental Taipei provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Mandarin Oriental Taipei offers a pleasant stay in Taipei for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 1km from Taipei Songshan Airport and 4km from Songshan Station. This hotel is located near many of Taipei's attractions including G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN TAIPEI, presented by KGI FINANCIAL GROUP, Xingtian Temple and Songshan Airport Observation Deck. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Taipei hotel provides parking on site. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

Purposely choose to stay with M.O.
check-in process was smooth with special house tea and cold towels.
The room was big and elegant setting. Toiletries were sufficient, however, with a strong sustainable mission. This MO still uses toothpaste instead of other MO toothpaste paper. I found their bath towels were rather old, which I don't expect from this level of Hotel. Most of the hotels have water kettle but not here. They offered a Japanese hot water machine which made me think of 30 years ago.
Breakfast was great with a lot of varieties.
I have the same similar level of hotel , they have a person to guide you to your room but not here.

The eslite group never disappoints. Quiet coffee, working plus reading area is just inside the entrance. The reception staff are friendly and professionally trained. The room is clean, nicely decorated and all sockets are conveninetly designed- unlike the highly rated Alisahn hotel that we just stayed, but decided to leave earlier due to the unpleasant experience. Since it is the Chinese New Year period, the entrance and lobby were decorated with red flowers, full of festive spirits. Will be back again

Returned traveller! The hotel location is great with exit 2 just across the road and exit 1 behind the hotel. The service of the staff is also great! A quieter side of taipei but yet with quite a few food options around too!
Only thing to note is that taiwan doesnt provide any toothbrush shaver etc (based on the law) so do remember to bring your own!

The hotel is one of the established hotels on the island and has become so much a part of the local scene and such a popular meeting point with locals and foreign guests that it is common to hear “meet me at the Sheraton”.

During my recent stay at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel in an executive suite, I experienced unparalleled luxury and comfort that transformed my visit into an enchanting retreat. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff set the tone for an exceptional experience.
The executive suite was spacious and elegantly appointed, boasting stunning views of the bustling city skyline. The modern decor combined with thoughtful amenities made the space feel like a home away from home. Comfortable furnishings, including a plush king-sized bed, provided a perfect place to unwind after a busy day of exploring Taipei.
One of the highlights of the suite was the access to the Executive Lounge. The atmosphere was both sophisticated and relaxed, offering complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails with a selection of delicious hors d'oeuvres. It was a lovely way to mingle with fellow guests while enjoying breathtaking sunset views! The attentive lounge staff went above and beyond, ensuring that every detail was taken care of.
In addition to the suite’s luxurious accommodations and the Executive Lounge, the hotel’s facilities were top-notch. I enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool and a revitalizing workout at the fitness center. The variety of dining options available on-site, including an exquisite Chinese restaurant, allowed me to indulge in both local flavors and international cuisine.
The Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel is perfectly located, making it easy to explore the vibrant city. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, this hotel offers a unique blend of comfort, elegance, and exceptional service. I left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return, having experienced a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration. I wholeheartedly recommend staying in the executive suite for an unforgettable Taipei experience!

Iirenebabie2025.05.05
I went to Taiwan on May Day and stayed in the newly opened Capella Hotel in Taipei for two nights. I would like to share my experience with you.
The hardware environment of the hotel is first-class. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I could feel Capella's consistent high-end aesthetics and quality standards. The reception hall on the 14th floor is grand and stylish. The living room has both check-in and lounge functions. Whether it is checking in, meeting guests or resting, it is very decent. The atmosphere is full and the details are luxurious. The breakfast is great, worthy of the standard of a luxury hotel. Finally, after Tokyo Park Hyatt, I saw a hotel breakfast with blueberry and strawberry, which directly added points. Capella breakfast includes champagne. It was champagne oysters early in the morning. I felt a little dizzy~ Taiwan's local specialty breakfast includes egg pancakes, beef noodles and porridge. The iced latte is unexpectedly delicious. Taiwan's beverages are really amazing!
However, this stay experience was not satisfactory in terms of software services. It may be because it was newly opened. The room service response speed was extremely slow. When you need something urgently, you often have to wait for a long time, which affects your mood. Because of government regulations, the room is not equipped with any disposable toiletries. Although it is understandable, it always feels like the policy is used to prevaricate the service. When you actually check in, you need a shower cap and toothpaste, and you have to call again and again... The service response is slow, which is somewhat inconsistent with Capella's high-end positioning.
What makes me most dissatisfied and worried is the problem of the swimming pool. The hotel has only one outdoor swimming pool on the 14th floor. My husband went to swim at 8:30 in the morning and returned to the room with severe discomfort. His heart rate soared to 160 and he didn't recover all day. The reason is that the water temperature of the swimming pool is too high, which has exceeded the normal body temperature of 37 degrees. This is not swimming but soaking in a hot spring, but there is no lifeguard in the swimming pool, which poses a great safety hazard. The communication with the foreign manager was fruitless, and he only kept saying: ”Thank you for your advice and provide us with valuable advice~ Our lifeguard only starts work at 8:30.” Shouldn't there be lifeguards when the swimming pool is open?
There is no display of key information such as water temperature, water acidity and alkalinity, and water monitoring report of the day next to the swimming pool. Guests cannot understand the water quality and water temperature of the swimming pool and it is difficult to use it with peace of mind.
In general, the hardware environment of Capella Taipei is indeed excellent, but many problems with software services affect the overall stay experience.

Worst 5 stars hotel i have stayed. You may observe similar feedbacks if you look at the reviews.
Weird toilet design. The bathtub is just beside the main door. When opened, you can literally see the bathtub and toilet bowl. There is also no overflow drainage hole on the bathtub. The water could overflow and wet the toilet floor entirely. And the irony is that they put up a sign to encourage water saving but provide a poorly designed bathtub. The curtain is thin and sunlight shines right through at about 6+AM. The blackout curtain is a vertical blind and it is very heavy to pull up and down to block out the sunlight. They do not care anyway because when told of my bad experiences, the manager just smile that feel like saying ”hey, this is what it is”.
Definitely will not stay in this hotel again.

Had a fantastic stay at Regent Taipei! The staff were outstanding throughout the hotel — always friendly, professional, and attentive.
The breakfast experience was excellent, with a great variety and incredibly attentive service that made mornings a real pleasure.
The pool area was also a highlight — clean, relaxing, and staffed by people who clearly care about guest comfort.
Overall, a wonderful experience thanks to the warm attitude and excellent service across every part of the hotel. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserTop notch hotel with a great vibe in the buzzing district of Taipeh. Really enjoyed the breakfast selection and poolside as well as the walking distance to 101 and other touristic sites.
GGuest UserThis is our one of our favorite hotel when visiting Xinyi District. Hotel offers great location with walking distance to all kind of activities, restaurants and shopping places. We bought breakfast this time and I have to say food is beyond our expectations, taste better than usual! View from the room is stunning and the pool is a plus! Swimming and enjoying sun tanning in the city is a great experience. Will visit again soon~
CCheuk YinMy recent stay at the Tai Pei Marriott Hotel was an absolute delight, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, every detail of my experience was flawless. Here’s why this hotel stands out:
1. First-Class Service: The staff at the Tai Pei Marriott Hotel are truly exceptional. From the warm welcome at reception to the attentive housekeeping team, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel valued. Special shoutout to [Name, if applicable], who helped me with local recommendations and ensured my stay was seamless.
2. Elegant and Comfortable Room: My room was a haven of comfort and luxury. The bed was incredibly plush, and the room was spotlessly clean. The modern design, coupled with thoughtful amenities like a Nespresso machine and high-quality toiletries, made it feel like a home away from home. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of the city skyline.
3. Outstanding Dining: The hotel’s dining options were a highlight of my stay. The breakfast buffet at [Restaurant Name] was extensive, with a mix of international and local dishes that catered to all tastes. I also enjoyed dinner at [Restaurant Name], where the menu was creative, and the service was impeccable.
4. World-Class Amenities: The Tai Pei Marriott Hotel offers everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The indoor pool was serene and beautifully maintained, and the fitness center had state-of-the-art equipment. I also indulged in a spa treatment, which was pure bliss.
5. Prime Location: The hotel’s location is unbeatable. It’s conveniently situated near [landmark or area], making it easy to explore the city. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, you’ll appreciate the proximity to major attractions, shopping, and public transport.

Final Thoughts: My stay at the Tai Pei Marriott Hotel was nothing short of perfect. It’s a luxurious retreat that combines comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I will definitely return on my next visit to Taipei and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.
GGuest UserThis is my 2nd time staying at the hotel. Buffet bkf seems not as good as my first visit a year ago. The comfort of the bed is also lacking ( a bit of backache after 3 nights. Other than that the rest was as good as before. Just love their bathroom and shower. Thanks.

YYu KuenI recently had the pleasure of staying at Cosmos Hotel Taipei and I can’t say enough about how enjoyable the experience was. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that cleanliness and tidiness were top priorities here. The lobby was spotless, with a fresh and welcoming atmosphere, and that same attention to detail carried over into my room. The bed was perfectly made, the surfaces gleamed, and there wasn’t a speck of dust to be found. It’s the kind of place where you feel instantly at ease knowing everything is so well-maintained.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had anticipated, given that it is a 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, I was given a room that was different from the one I had booked (Metro Room instead of Superior double room). When I approached the front desk to address this issue, I was told it was a “free upgrade” which was not mentioned during check in. The front desk manager even mentioned that the metro room feels smaller and understands our concerns. Despite this, we decided not to request a room change since we were only there for two nights.
The front desk manager had a stern demeanor throughout our conversation, which made the experience even more unwelcoming. Later that night, we encountered another problem: the shower water would unexpectedly switch to scalding hot without any adjustments, and when we tried to cool it down, it turned ice cold. Additionally, the shower area had an old, musty smell, and the toilet seat has a yellowish hue that was quite unpleasant.
While the blackout curtains were effective in blocking light, they did not cover a specific part of the room, leaving us with an inconsistent sleeping environment.
I must say, the location of the hotel somewhat salvaged our experience, as it was conveniently situated. Moreover, the concierge staff were incredibly kind and helpful, assisting us with booking a taxi when we were leaving.
Overall, the hotel feels very dated and in need of significant renovations. I had hoped for a much better experience, especially given that this is a 5-star hotel, but sadly, it did not live up to expectations.

KKkoh84My second time with this hotel and I did not have the most pleasant time with them nor as much as the previous time.
That aside, amenities within a 500-1000m are the supermarket, family mart, restaurants and so on. It’s also near a couple of train stations so be sure to explore the underground pass. Iconic view with the 101 in proximity and can walk from hotel to 101 in about 15mins and some shopping areas as well all around.
The hotel room is a little small but my qualm with them is the WiFi. Probably some rooms may not have but I have gotten the same problem since my stay with them in November last year. Some blind spots will cause u to lose connectivity but somehow their staff always came back to me with they didn’t find problems with it. But it is really irritating especially when u can’t get decent connectivity in this time and space so I do hope that if I ever stay with them again, this will be rectified.
What was most upsetting was on the day when I am checking out (which is today), I received a call from the reception to my room at 10:59am and telling me that I should be checking out now when my check out time is at 11am in the first place. I have never ever gotten any ca before in any hotel and to get this from Hilton groups is to me unforgivable. It should not be the peak season now so is there an issue when I checked out 10 mins late (or less)?
