We arrived at 4pm and were surprised that the reception was on 1st floor. There was a tiny rickety lift which had a notice on stating only one passenger allowed with luggage or two without. As I struggle with arthritis in my feet my husband suggested I go up with the luggage and he’d take the stairs. I called the lift, it sort of shuddered but didn’t come down as if it were stuck. We both took the stairs, three flights of them-do not stay in this hotel if you have any mobility issues. It is noted that for the whole of our trip this little lift didn’t work! I went to check in with my QR code but there was a rather brusque lady who told me to go to her desk. She obviously wasn’t happy in her work, very matter of fact and not welcoming at all. Our room was on the third floor, right at the back with the most appalling view. As we exited the lift it was quite a long walk through loads of corridors, very strange layout-like a maze! First impressions of our room was standard P.I. however we began to realise how grubby it was. There was dust on all the skirting, along the edges of the carpet and on most of the surfaces. The bathroom floor was the same and the shower screen was filthy, thick with dust and a greasy film on it-obviously not been cleaned in a long time. In the three days we were there we never saw any staff cleaning any of the rooms, which we thought unusual. Thankfully we hadn’t booked for breakfast, who knows how clean their kitchens were if they are happy to book guests into rooms which are so dirty? This hotel is in a prime location for all that Stratford has to offer but I would not recommend and will not return.

Room was very smelly and there were used contact lens on the bed side locker. At a guess I would say that someone had just been in the room as it was stuffy and smelled. We checked in late and didn’t complain at the time as it was late. The tv remote did not work. The staff were friendly

The hotel is in an excellent location just 10 minutes easy walk to the river or town centre and all its restaurants. There is no parking or pull-in to take bags out of car though a street nearby has a few spaces usually for a brief stop. Access is very difficult as reception and rooms are up numerous steps. There is a very slow lift you can use if needed. This is particularly hard with luggage. The hotel was very short staffed on arrival and there were no towels or shower gel in the dispenser in our room. The internet was very slow and reception in our room kept dropping out. On the positive side, the room was large and well furnished with plenty of storage and the usual excellent Premier Inn bed. The bathroom was good with a powerful shower. The room was very quiet and we slept very well. Overall, we love Premier Inns and this had many positive features - let down by the access difficulties, lack of parking and internet.

We love a premier in. But this is one of the best. Modern features, new bathroom fixtures and the cleanliness we always expect of premier inn. The staff were absolutely fantastic, allowing us a place to change our baby before we were able to check in, warming milk for us, providing a travel cot all set up and ready and friendly greetings at every interaction. The location is perfect! A five minute walk to town and a 5 minute walk to the theatre. The breakfast was perfect, everything g cooked well and plenty provided to tuck into. We’ll definitely visit again! Thanks Premier inn- Stratford central

Check-in was a shambles. As seems usual in my experience, the self check in screen didn't work. So, we queued at reception for 20 minutes only to be told the room was not ready. The receptionist implied it was my fault for booking the type of room of which they 'didn't have many'. We went for a walk and came back an hour later. Now we had to queue at reception for over half an hour to be told the room still wasn't ready! When we finally got in the room, the queue for reception was snaking out the door.

I stayed here for my mum's birthday in February 2025. I treated her to a night away and booked the Premier Inn as I've always had a great experience with them.  However, I was beyond disappointed with this entire stay.  My mum struggles to walk too far but doesn’t require any special accessibility which I told the receptionist about and we were reassured it was just up ‘a couple of steps’ we were put in a room that was up and down multiple flights of stairs before and after taking the lift to our floor! As you were very busy, we didn't make a fuss, but when arriving at our room we were greeted with a terrible smell of drains from the bathroom. The bathroom was filthy, there were bits of dust and hair in the shower, the sink and on the floor, there were bits of toilet roll on the floor and on top of the fact it was freezing cold and smelly, it was so bad we didn't even feel we could use the shower.  The room itself unfortunately was no better. The pillowcases were stained with dirty marks, the mirror and sides were both dirty and there was a random mattress cover screwed up under the bed.  I spoke to reception and requested to move rooms but were only offered a room up even more stairs that my mum couldn't manage. Nobody offered to help us by moving our bags for us or sending the cleaners in to sort it out and change the linen & clean the bathroom. I don't feel that the very basic requirements of a clean and comfortable room were met. Lastly was the terrible night's sleep we had as we were woken up every 10 minutes by doors slamming (I’m not even exaggerating). This has really put me off wanting to stay with Premier Inn again. The second we walked into the building we were met with dirty, torn carpets, posters hanging off the walls, a completely empty restaurant/bar that wasn’t much cleaner, a check in machine that didn’t work, and a queue of 15+ people to one receptionist who wasn’t the friendliest! It really spoilt our stay.  I would very much appreciate a response and some advice as to how to go about requesting my money back as on check out the manager ‘wasn’t available’ and the staff on duty didn’t seem at all surprised but said they didn’t have an email address for the manager! I’d seriously consider your options before booking here!

fairly run down looking hotel from the outside, and had a small room on lower ground floor. But room was absolutely fine, bed very comfortable, and the coustomer service excellent. Friendly and helpful. Even let us stay in the disable parking for the night without a blue badge! WE ARE a bit old!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for Valentine’s Day and I must say we were very pleased with our experience. Thankyou to Jack, Fiona and Amalia for making us feel extremely welcome and for looking after us during our overnight stay. We even got treated to some delicious Valentine’s chocolate aswell. Will definitely be back here! Food was also delicious 👌
