"The breakfast buffet was really worth it, lots of different food. Also there was a KFC and many other restaurants nearby. They stored my luggage until the evening even when I was already checked out. Thank you."
"2 bus stops from Suwon Bus Terminal. But I was rejected by the bus driver to board the bus because of my luggage. It was a 10 minutes walk. Not as easy when you move around with luggage. Some pavements were bumpy.
The area is quiet and the hotel in some alleyways. Was a little scared walking by myself back to hotel at night.
I arrived early and the early check-in rates were KWR10,000 per hour, should I choose to check-in early.
Room was spacious. Though the lights in the shower auto switched off after 10-15 minutes. It happened twice, when I was soaking in the tub and when I was doing my make-up.
Had to rely on translation app to communicate with staff."
"Nice hotel, quiet, and clean. Located near to cafés, restaurants, groceries...etc.
As a frequent traveller, I know that Korean people are nice and friendly because this is not my first visit. However, the reception staff are cold welcoming. When I did the check-in, I guess that the head of the reception was the one handing me the keys. His voice tone was loud and a bit irritating (not sure if this a cultural thing). The gentleman was talking to me as if I came from a cave. I felt annoyed but kept calm and quiet then told him that I'm from a civilised country. Surprisingly, his voice tone became quieter, and even he started talking politely.
I'm not sure what's happened but this kept me laughing afterwards."
"I booked a place to stay in Suwon, which is a stopover for my trip!
Since I was planning to mainly eat, I looked for a place where I could exercise, and the location was perfect for me, Inje-dong, and transportation was convenient. Above all, it was close to the terminal, and I thought it would be cost-effective, so I made a reservation and looked for reviews! However, my feelings were mixed! So I was a little worried, but I went there first, and they kindly took care of my luggage before checking in, and they were so kind and helpful when I checked in, which was great! However, since I was staying for one night, the room condition was the most important thing!
I was so satisfied!!! And the bathroom... The water didn't drain right away when I showered, so the floor was slippery, but I was fine! And most of all, the gym was open 24 hours, so I was very satisfied, and I was able to exercise a little, so I was satisfied!!
I also liked that there were many things to do nearby, so
I plan to use it again if I come to Suwon again!"
"The hotel was very comfortable. The service was excellent and the front desk was really helpful. The location is very convenient and close to the subway and bus stops. You can travel to the fortress and see the cherry blossoms in Spring."
"Kim , Dain(김다인) who is front receptionist was very kind . She made us very comfortable during staying there. She's a excellent receptionist. And breakfast was so delicious. Chef was very nice man. We were very happy to stay there. Thank you hotel symphony."
"Everything from the hotel is great including; staff, housekeeping, wifi, water system, location. I just find it hard to squeeze liquid out of soap, shampoo bottle tho😅
One thing that disturb my stay is that, those AHJUMMAS were so loud in the hall way, late at night and super early in the morning and sometimes were on the phone in front of my room. I can hear them clearly. Other than that, I would stay here again .. love it!!"
"Breakfast was just okay. Other than that, everything was fine, though the room was a bit on the small side. The biggest letdown was the lack of complimentary bottled water and toothbrushes in the room."
"Great hotel. Basic rooms but very clean and comfortable. A short ride away from Suwon train station and right in the middle of a shopping and restaurant area - great range of choices to eat and drink. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again."
"Fantastic location, with public transport (buses and subway) right downstairs. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, and the service was absolutely wonderful!"

Amazing
AAnonymous UserI was expected to have a nice stay at Marriott, however the reception person made me very disappointed to Marriott during the check in process.
Luckily, when I check out, the lady who was asking me ”if there's anything she can help?” It was just a regular Q&A section to her, but for me, she helped me to book the bus ticket to ICN and saved/helped me to had a nice day -- She was perfect to earn 100% points!
that's why I gave 3 points to Marriott while her colleague was not, this is balanced score...
However, what I felt on the first day arrival was horrible. Marriott, you need to think about your service attitude and the reason why you're Marriott?
AAndyyyyyyyyClean and tidy every day. Not bad. But the air conditioner in the room is facing your head, which is a bit uncomfortable. There is a shared microwave in the corridor, which is quite convenient. But the ice making function of the water dispenser doesn't seem to be working properly, and there are no ice cubes, which is a bit worse.
2273212****The room is clean, the front desk is nice, the internet speed is comfortable, the computer configuration in the room is also good, there is a knife-cut noodles restaurant downstairs that has a long queue. Overall it is okay, recommended
AAndiswaAThe locations was great 😊, there’s a chilled street for those who like peace where the hotel is located and there are busy streets for those who like to party and it’s a walking distance. The hotel is like 7 minutes walk away from the train station which made traveling very easy. There are a lot of activities to do in Suwon . The hotel is clean and I loved the check out at 12:00 . The check in was a bit late 16:00 but it was no bother since we wanted to explore the city anyways. The service was great and there was someone who spoke a bit of English at the check in counter which is good for foreigners 💃🏽❤️
GGuest UserThe location was great, close to the subway and bus stops.
The signage was clearly visible, making it easy to find.
Upon entering, there was a welcome tea, coffee beans, and an ice maker, a necessity this summer.
The elevator was smaller than I expected, which felt a bit cramped, but the interior seemed to have been carefully designed.
Getting to your assigned room was a bit tricky. It wasn't a straight line, so you had to find the room by the lake.
As soon as you entered, the smell of cigarettes hit you... That was my first impression.
There were no disposable items, but shower amenities were provided.
The price-to-performance ratio for one night was not bad, but I didn't like the smell of cigarettes in the room.
กการเดินทางที่แสนพิเศษThe location is very good. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes and near the tourist attractions that are the selling points of this city, which is Hwaseong Fortress. The only downside is that there is not much parking space. But if you come by public transport, it is convenient to travel back and forth. You can walk around the area. Overall, I like it. The picture in the room is as shown in the picture. It is convenient to travel. The outside of the hotel may look a bit old. It does not look very clean. But in the room, the cleanliness is 5 points. Everything is complete. Toothbrush, body lotion, facial cream for both men and women, comb, hair dryer, hair straightener. There is tea and coffee in the room. You can come empty-handed and stay. The bed is soft, the pillows are good, the blanket is warm, the air is cool, the water flows, very convenient 👍👍👍
AAnonymous UserQuite a distance to walk from the nearest subway station, and the road there was not the smoothest...with many constructions ongoing. But the room was quite big. Toiletries, one floor towel, one standard sized bath towel, and four smaller bath towels were provided.
KKarleneI have been coming to this hotel for a little over a year, and I never had any problems until they started making changes. I understand charging for basic amenities, but can you at least put a bar of soap in the bathroom for handwashing. I also didn't have the nice LG clothes closet that refreshes your clothes. I wasn’t able to freshen my jacket, and the mattress is also harder. They did install a bigger TV and added better TV remote directions in English with a channel listing. But what did it for me was during the checkout. In the past, when I had a lot of bags to carry to the KTX or Bus Terminal, they always were helpful in calling me a taxi. I asked like I normally do, and not only was I denied, but I was also waved off as if he couldn't be bothered. I tried to tell him that I was going to the KTX, but he kept saying airport taxi across the street. Due to frustration and time constraints, I left. I didn't want to miss my train. I will definitely patron another hotel after this. Disappointed.
GGuest UserIt is quite hidden to find it. As there aren't many parking spaces, you need to go to the reception and he's even going to park your car where a cone is reserving the parking space for the Malu Hotel after you check-in. The bed was a bit bouncy but okay, as I didn't slept much. You can hear people talking in the corridor through the door. There was a small kitchen with a kettle and microwave. A fridge and tiny freezer in it, with bottles of water. The shower head handle was cracked so the water was leaking from there too, but I had a nice hot shower with a big towel since a long time.
GGuest UserThe guy not speak any word in english and even if I said that a booked a room he wanted to make me leave the hotel ! So, don't try to speak with him, just show your name and the reservation, he will give you the key and at your depart you have to leave it in the elevator, it's cold but that's how is it. We sleep in a ondol room (matress in the floor) ; the room is not pleasant (rather dilapidated) but the matress is confortable, you have kettle and one time coffe-tea-water, hot water in the shower ; it's enought to be in good condition. The localisation is pretty good, not too far from the citadelle maybe half an hour of walk.
