Here’s a draft for your review: --- I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very cozy, offering a warm and comfortable atmosphere. While the facilities are a bit old, they are surprisingly well-maintained, which added to the charm of the experience. The hotel itself has a classic feel, giving off a sense of timeless elegance that sets it apart from modern, cookie-cutter accommodations. It’s a great choice for those who appreciate a blend of comfort and vintage aesthetics. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone seeking a relaxed and nostalgic stay.

Excellent location, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and facing the lake boardwalk. The hotel is solid and traditional in its style, typical of the decade it was constructed. Front staff spoke English, they were polite, however, I was annoyed as they didn’t have my room available till 16:30, only smoking rooms were available earlier, surprised this brand has those rooms types available in 2024! Nevertheless, they upgraded me, and left fruit in the room. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, view was stunning and the round bath tub was ginormous! Breakfast was ok, not as extensive as other InterContinentals, but sufficient. Swimming pool is massive, and open till 23:00, which I’m grateful for. They are slow in releasing the deposit which should be credited on checkout, I didn’t receive it till the following day, that is not acceptable. So some minor issues but overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

It was our second time back at Park Hyatt and it did not disappoint. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and we were warmly greeted at the front. While we were finalizing our check in, the staff took our bags and set it up in our rooms. We tried the breakfast for the first time (complimentary) and it was amazing. Their selection is too class and they designed it so that food is not wasted. We also went to the swimming pool and it was a great time. They think of everything. Like always, everyone greeted us whenever we were in the main halls. This hotel will always be my to-go. Huge thank you to William at the front desk and Naomi in the dining hall.

Very kind and professional staff, from concierge, check-in station to cleaning personal, Restaurant personal and Bar personal, every single person very friendly and helpful. Due to the fact, me as european, i am not used to taxi apps like people use here in china, but the staff from Renaissance Suzhou arranged every single ride i needed. They helped me with every little thing i needed. I even asked them, if there is a nearby store that sells Ukulele's - Jessica Jiang from the staff quickly told me the location of the next store and arranged the taxi for me. I felt very comfortable in this Hotel and also the barkeepers did a very good job. Good drinks, good snacks. The buffet was amazing and as a Hotel guest i got a discount. Thanks for that! Hotel = 10 / 10 Staff = 10 +/ 10 Restaurant = 10 / 10 Rooms = 10 / 10 Bar = 10 / 10 Location = 10 / 10 In my opinion, this hotel makes everything perfect. Thanks for having me! And of course, i will come back to this hotel during my next trip to Suzhou.

Did not meet expectations. Building has issues. -Rooms had temperature issues that the AC could not handle, Hotel tries to handle this with curtains and a paper notice (see picture. With the curtains closed Room was 35°C at check-in in winter because the room was on the sunny side). -Lack of hot water for the shower/bath in the evening, hotel said it has trouble handling peak hours (and they weren't even fully booked). -Shoehorn dropped in the middle of the night, waking us. Hanger is a double sided tape variety. -Other obvious maintenance issues like the electrical socket being misaligned, and the toilet seat having bad gearing in the smart toilet. -No decaf coffee available in the room, the staff said there is none (did not even know what it was). Normally with this brand of coffee the decaf is in blue packets. -Breakfast was mediocre at best. Pretty standard mainland fare. Line to the noodle stall was excessive, and for everything else the quality was lacking. On the positive side, the pool and the sauna were satisfactory. Good parking too. Firm bed for those who like it. Staff was fairly responsive despite, although Chinese is helpful. And for one of the 3 rooms booked we got an upgrade (although all of the negatives above still apply)

I recently stayed at the Novotel Suzhou SIP, located conveniently by the beautiful Jinji Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park. The hotel is perfectly situated with easy access to cultural landmarks like the Suzhou Culture and Arts Center, Moon Harbor, Eslite Bookstore, and major shopping areas such as Shin Kong Place. Additionally, its proximity to the Cultural Expo Center metro station makes it an excellent choice for travelers. During my stay, I was deeply impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of the front desk staff, particularly Cathy. She went above and beyond to make sure my check-in process was smooth and my questions were addressed with care. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and had a modern design that added to the comfort. I also appreciated the hotel’s wide range of facilities, including the indoor heated swimming pool and the on-site dining options, such as the Gourmet Bar and the Chinese and Western restaurants. Overall, my experience at Novotel Suzhou SIP was exceptional. The combination of its prime location, excellent amenities, and outstanding service makes it a top choice for anyone visiting Suzhou, whether for business or leisure. Highly recommended!

Pros: Very good location for walking around Pingjiang road. Very handy Suzhou train station pick up service, would recommend utilising for anyone arriving by train. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. Cons: bathroom had a bad smell emanating from it. There was quite a lot of construction happening while we were there, started around 7am and didn’t finish until after midnight. Would recommend bringing ear buds. Shower pressure was ok but not amazing. There is also no elevator so you will need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the rooms which are all on the first floor.

The hotel gives people the feeling of an old state-owned enterprise, and it should be an old brand hotel. The location is OK, a ten-minute walk from the subway and a five-minute walk from the opposite community, where there are various restaurants, supermarkets, and fruit shops. The overall cleanliness and warm service.

Can not fault this hotel. An excellent location *if* you are visiting the Shizishan area or SND in general. Could realistically be used as a base for the entire Suzhou too, given its proximity to two metro lines & the SND tram. Especially for those who don't want to be right in the busy city center & want somewhere a bit more chilled (I chose this location as I used to live nearby so know the area well). Modern, convenient, friendly staff, breakfast, mall, shops & restaurants nearby. No faults here.
