Suzhou Wuzhong District Hotels

We had a great experience with the Hampton hotel back in the States a while ago. This one didn’t disappoint us at all. After check in, we were welcomed by a robot, which carried a plate of fresh fruits to our room. We basically just followed it for the direction. Yes, the robot can take the elevator by itself. The room we stayed was spacious and clean. The water pressure was as good as the U.S. counterparts. The breakfast was surprisingly tasty with the combination of East and West foods. After returning from the breakfast, we were surprised that the housekeeper had done her job even though we didn’t turn on the request light.

I went to Suzhou with my family to visit the graves of our ancestors. I specially chose this Holiday Inn Express, which is relatively close and well located, to stay overnight. The location is right by the elegant Taihu Lake, not close to the noisy highway, and very close to the new Line 5 Taihu Pearl Metro Station. If you drive to and from, the surrounding new district roads are also well built. The hotel staff upgraded us to a Taihu Lake View Twin Room for free, and upgraded breakfast to the restaurant on the 3rd floor of the Holiday Inn next door, which upgraded the experience a lot. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room can directly enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake. Taihu Lake in Suzhou is quieter and more comfortable than that in Wuxi. The breakfast is also richer after the upgrade, with various cakes and breads, milk and juice, fried noodles, Suzhou-style soup noodles, Dorayaki, fruits, coarse grains, etc., which are very rich and delicious. If there are family members who get up late and don’t have time for breakfast, the staff will not only agree that we pack some appropriate amount of food and bring it upstairs to the family, but will also take the initiative to provide packaging boxes and bags and pack some fruit milk cakes for us. The room is of moderate size, the bedroom and bathroom facilities are complete, the living is very comfortable, and the wifi is smooth. There is a 24-hour unmanned convenience store in the connected Holiday Inn, which is very convenient for buying things on the spur of the moment. There is a lawn in the middle of the hotel, and it is very comfortable to walk on the lawn. If I have to say the only shortcoming is that I am used to sleeping on a hard mattress, and the mattress of this hotel is so soft that I sink into it. I am not used to it, but there should be many people who like this. In short, it left me a very good impression. If I go there again next time, I will choose this hotel again.

The front desk saw that we were a family of three and took the initiative to upgrade our executive room to a suite and gave us breakfast coupons. The room was clean and bright, with two bathrooms. Water, slippers, and toothbrushes were provided to three of us. From the window, we could see the Suzhou Big Pants from a distance. The breakfast was also good, and the noodles were worth recommending.

Breakfast was good and they changed the dishes daily. Staff were accommodating as well as we had early train to catch. It’s located a bit out from the city centre but the metro station is really close, you can literally hop on the train like within 5 minutes.

The service is very good, the front desk is also very friendly. The photos I took are also of my suite, which is a little small as I imagined. After communicating with the front desk, I was also given a room that is the same as the one on the platform, but it still feels a little small, maybe 20 square meters. The distance to Metro Line 4 is relatively close, almost one kilometer, which I can accept, but looking at the direct distance of Suzhou's attractions, it seems that one kilometer is also far away. There are many restaurants nearby where you can eat, but when you go out to play, you just want to eat specialties. There are only restaurants that can fill your stomach nearby, but there are very few special foods. The usual price of this hotel is only more than one hundred and less than two hundred. If the hotel is booked at this price, I think it is very worthwhile, but I booked it for three or four hundred. It is normal to increase the price during May Day. This room is usually not worth so much. Finally, I want to complain that the shower room and the toilet are not completely separated, and there is not even a door to block water in the middle. Every time I wash, the place where I go to the toilet outside will be wet. Then the place where the shower room is shielded from the outside world is not that high. For example, I am 180cm or 175cm tall and I can stick my head out and see outside when I get close to the glass. This design can easily scare people at night. For example, the balcony outside my side is actually like the roof of the bungalow. There is a residential building very close opposite, so I can basically see nothing. The room opposite has no balcony, and the road is visible when the window is opened. Whether it is my first room or the second room, the window cannot be closed. The sound insulation is really poor. Every time I am in the room, I can hear the sound of the door opening and closing, locking, and the couple laughing next door. I can also hear the dog barking downstairs. It is a real dog barking. I don’t know if there is a problem with the disposable four-piece set I brought or the pillow. I had a little acne on the back of my head on the first night I stayed there. The symptoms disappeared after I left, but my companions did not have such problems.

Marriott never disappoints! We had a wonderful weekend at this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it 😍 the location and the view from our room were amazing. We had a variety of activities like biking, hiking, reading books in a peaceful environment, swimming and warming our tired bodies in sauna 🤩 definitely is worth going all the way there from another city and having the best experience 🥰

This time I brought my children out. Since we came all the way from Changzhou and Wuxi, we changed several hotels. This hotel is excellent in terms of environment, hygiene, service and breakfast. The front desk upgraded our room for free when we checked in, and also gave the children small gifts and fish food. The children especially like to feed the fish. I will definitely choose this place again if I have the chance to come here in the future.

Booked to visit a factory in Wuzhong. A comfortable stay near the factory. The room was great, clean and very spacious. It is also near a metro station - Muli of line 4, though it still takes almost an hour to commute to downtown. Breakfast quality is good and has enough seats. They’d do much better with halal options for meat menus.

This newly built hotel is just a kilometre away from the beautiful ancient town of Luzhi in the suburbs of Suzhou. The front desk staff are very efficient and they spoke English . The room we had was enormously large compared to Holiday Inn hotels in Europe . The price also includes breakfast and the hotel allowed my 14 year old son to have one as well. All in all, very good choice if you want to visit Luzhi . Remember , you will have to take a taxi to Suzhou centre as the hotel is quite far and I don’t think there’s a direct bus .
