It is DIRECT OCEANFRONT & BEACHFRONT with Amazing views!!! Private ocean view patio! This unit is immaculate and pride of ownership is evident throughout. Maalaea village is a gem with its central location and its fantastic trade winds. They provide a cooling breeze that keeps the temperatures just right. Beautifully landscaped grounds with a pool and BBQ. Any stress you have will melt away. Slip into the pool and enjoy the ocean view while you relax in the Maui sun.Perfect central location to go explore the island! Or take a day to just relax to catch a glimps of green sea turtles rolling in the surf or bobbing up for air, even sunning themselves on the beach. In the winter months (Nov-April) you will have a front row seat to breaching whales as they come back to the islands to give birth, nurse, and play with their young!At the end of our cul-de-sac is Sugar Beach, 2-3 minute walk from the unit. Sugar Beach has the longest stretch of sandy beach on Maui. 5 miles of secluded sand to walk, run and beachcomb. Sugar Beach is very secluded and hardly ever has crowds. Sugar beach is protected from the road by the bird-filled-ponds of Kealia Wildlife Refuge. It is so amazing to walk this beach and literally feel like you have it all to yourself! A 5 minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to Maalaea Harbor where you will find a small grocery store, gym, deli, restaurants, and the Maui Ocean Center (Maui’s #1 tourist attraction), the Pacific Whale Foundation, miniature golf, shopping and most of the ocean activities available on Maui (whale watching, sunset dinner cruises, deep sea fishing & snorkeling tours). Centrally located Maalaea, makes getting anywhere on the island easy. Approximately 15 minutes from the airport, a 5 minute drive south and you are in Kihei and a bit further, the resorts of Wailea. 20 minutes to the West is Lahaina. Suite Maui Paradise Condo - New Listing, Experienced Host! This centrally located gem is in Maalaea, a cute little harbor town in South Maui and conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport and between Kihei and Lahaina. You will see more whales than birds during peak whale season. This condo is a relaxing one bed room suite, condo is by the beach. You can walk the sugar trail all the way to Maui. The pool over looks the ocean, BBQ and BYOB right next to the beach under the shaded tree. A vacation that's hard to beat. The unit is on the second floor, walk up. This condo complex does not have an elevator and you will need to climb stairs from the parking area to the second floor condo. The building is beach front. Our condo itself is not beach front. There is an outdoor lanai where you can sit and enjoy the breezes and hear the ocean but to see the ocean, you will have to walk approximately 50 feet down the exterior hallway. To ensure transparency and clear expectations up front, please note the following for all of our properties: - We are pet friendly BUT all of our guests do not have pets or appreciate pet hair. Therefore, we charge an extra $50 pet cleaning fee that is passed on entirely to our cleaning crew. This ensures that they spend the extra time removing any pet hair from linens and towels, spend extra time cleaning baseboard trim, wiping fan blades, cleaning HVAC filters, etc. If you do not select "Add Pet" when booking and you stay with a pet, the $50 cleaning fee will be requested from you at checkout. Please select Add Pet in your initial booking to avoid this interaction. - We absolutely prohibit any and all smoking and drug use at our properties. This behavior makes it extremely difficult to turnover the unit for a new guest likely arriving the same day of your departure. If we find that you have smoked in our property, there will be an extra $200 cleaning fee, you will receive a negative review, and you will not be able to book at our properties in the future. This is a non-negotiable. Do not book if you plan to smoke. - No parties allowed or loud music after 8pm. Many of our properties are connected duplexes and out of courtesy for neighbors, we ask that there be no gatherings or loud music or unauthorized guests not listed on the reservation. If family or friends are stopping by, please kindly let us know ahead of time . Heading south from the airport, Haouli Street is accessed by turning left just before the miniature golf course at the fork in the road. Turn left again and you will begin to pass several condo buildings. Towards the end of the street you will see the Hono Kai. You will park in the Hono Kai parking lot in any open space (one car only please) and will then walk over to the office to fill out a parking placard. Please place this in your windshield and keep it in your car throughout your stay. I suggest parking to the left of the building as you enter for the shortest walk. You will then find the staircase and go up one level to the B condos. You are looking for unit B13. The door uses the August Home smart lock and can be accessed by sending us your cellphone information prior to check in. Once you provide your cellphone and we add your number, you will receive a text message with additional instructions on how to download the app. Upon arrival to the front door, simply open the August Home app and press the circle to unlock the front door (the phone will sense the door lock via Bluetooth). We will also send you a unique pin pad code either as a backup or for primary use if you prefer not to download the door lock app. In the event that technology fails, we have a backup lockbox hidden on site for emergency access. The pool gate can be opened using code 351. Maui does have a bus system but it is infrequent. Unless you are only staying at the Hono Kai and the beach right out front, a rental car is highly advised to explore. Please only bring one rental car as this is the maximum allowance per condo. Any additional vehicles would have to be parked across the street at your own risk. While we are not likely to be onsite to welcome you or during your stay, we are easily accessible and timely in responding via the booking platform website/apps between 6am to 9pm EST. We can also be reached via text message or phone call in the event of an emergency. Our phone number will be provided prior to check in. Maalaea has is a small boat harbor town south of Kihei, the departure point for many water activities. During the Winter and Spring months, you can get up close and personal with the humpback whales as they breach in the waters just off the coast. You're on the sugar trail coast, where you could walk miles on the very long stretch of beach with minimal crowds. The Hono Kai building is beach front and conveniently only 15 minutes drive to the airport, restaurants, Costco, Whole Foods, etc. It is also just a short drive to Kihei and a reasonable drive to Lahaina and the Kaanapali coast. As you enter the unit, the kitchen is to the right and contains everything you need to prepare typical meals. The kitchen has a fridge, electric range, dishwasher and microwave and basic utensils, cutlery, pots and pans, etc. There is also a seating area here with two bar stools. In the main living area, there is a separate small dining table, pull out sofa couch, coffee table, separate chair and television. The tv has channels through Spectrum but island channels tend to leave a bit to be desired. Wifi is available for connecting your own devices to the internet. Down the hallway is a storage closet and the bathroom. This unit has a shower only (no tub) so please be aware of this if you have little ones with you. The shower head pulls down but you would need to wash the kids in a small inflatable tub within the shower. Off of the living room is the bedroom area which features a comfortable queen bed, closet and separate tv. There are sliding doors that separate the living area from the bedroom if you have children or another guest spending the night on the sofa bed. Off of the main living area is a sliding door to the lanai where you can sit and enjoy dinners or a beverage. There is a small table and 2-3 chairs. There is a common area laundry room just down the hallway. The outdoor space features a shared pool, sitting area and barbecue grills. Please note that the unit is on the second floor, walk up. This condo complex does not have an elevator and you will need to climb stairs from the parking area to the second floor condo. The building is beach front. Our condo itself is not beach front. There is an outdoor lanai where you can sit and enjoy the breezes and hear the ocean but to see the ocean, you will have to walk approximately 50 feet down the exterior hallway. ** Immediately upon your arrival, please fill out the parking pass that is left for you inside the unit. If you cannot find in the unit, forms are also located on the office door downstairs by the pond. Please place the completed form in the box on the same downstairs office door. The HOA will issue fines to the owner if guests do not comply.. The laundry room is just down the hallway on the same floor. As you exit the condo, turn left. Walk to the hallway intersetion and turn left. The door is immediately on your left. The unit has plantation shutters to keep some of the light out but you'll likely want to keep them open to let the breeze blow through. Please make sure if the windows are open, that the air conditioner is in the off position. Hawaii has the highest electricity rates in the country! Please also ensure that the screens are closed at all times to prevent birds and bugs from entering. Please remove trash, wash dishes, and clean up ALL food daily/often and take to the dumpster in the front of the parking lot. Ants and roaches will quickly find their way inside if trash and dirty dishes are left out. Prior to departure, please ensure all trash and food waste is removed from the unit and dirty dishes are placed in the dishwasher.

You can Whale watch from our Lanai during the winter months when the humpback whales bring their young to the protected waters of Maalaea Bay. Its a sight you will never forget and look forward to seeing for years to come. Another wonderful sight from our lanai is watching the Cattamarans sailing by in the early evenings as the glow of the Maui sunset with its beautiful orange and purple hues cover the sky...as you sit on your Lanai sipping a cool drink and nibbeling on PuPu's (what the natives call snacks) and basking that after glow of it all , that my friend is when you'll know you are vacationing in Paradise!Miles of white sand that run in either direction. Snorkeling is wonderful too. With yellow and brilliant blue fish swimming along side you in the coral and rockier area of the water to the right once you've stepped onto the sand. Our guest have access to our outdoor Shower as you come and go to the beach. Our colbolt blue tiled swimming pool is complete with a waterfall and is located next to our new double commercial grade gas BBQ's with wrap around counters. We also have a dinning area for though who prefer to enjoy their meals outside and it's a fun way to meet your fellow renters as you enjoy the sunset and your meals. Were a five minute walk to the Maalaea Boat Harbor where you can book many water excursions, Snorkeling trips to Molokai, Sunset Dinner Cruises as well as dine at the Harbor many Fine & Casual Restaurants and Tourist Shops. A few blocks further you'll find the 'Maui Ocean Center' a #1 tourist attraction with a Beautiful Aquarium, Miniture Golf and Bumper Boats.
