"This is a good hotel with a convenient location in the Thamel area, meaning it's within walking distance of countless restaurants, shops, and souvenir stalls. The room has a comfortable work desk, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a nice bathroom with a shower. There's a balcony, but the view probably won't impress romantics. However, the rooftop offers some great photo opportunities for photographers. I didn't swim in the rooftop pool because I felt a bit unwell, but from my experience with other hotels, I suspect the water is ice cold. Breakfast isn't super diverse, but they'll make you fried eggs or an omelet to order. The staff is pleasant – thanks for the complimentary late check-out. The only downsides are probably the view from the window, which looks out onto a school building that resembles a prison, and the instant coffee at breakfast (though the latter is pretty standard for hotels in this price range in Nepal). I would definitely choose this hotel again for a stopover in Kathmandu."

"Wonderful hotel! The room was clean, beds very comfortable, and daily housekeeping was excellent! It's quiet, peaceful, and cozy. Breakfasts were absolutely amazing and so varied! There's also a pool if you want to swim. The grounds are well-maintained. The neighborhood itself is good for staying in, very calm. There are many other high-end hotels nearby, but this one completely satisfied me in terms of value for money!"

"Located within walking distance to the Buddha Stupa, this hotel is in a convenient location yet in a quiet corner near the stupa. The service is great and the staff are very helpful and hospitable. The highlight is there’s a ******* Buddhism Monastery right in the hotel’s yard, and guests can do free yoga course every morning inside the monastery which is a big plus."

"The staff at Hotel Manang were friendly, attentive and very professional. Sending a big thank you to all, including the lovely room cleaning lady, you were delightful and very helpful. Meals in the restaurant were large portions and good value and sitting outside in the courtyard to eat was perfect. As a smoker I also appreciated having a balcony so I could smoke outside and keep the room smelling clean, thank you!"

"★★★★★ I recently stayed at Hotel Barahi Kathmandu for 2 nights and 3 days during my trip to Nepal. To start with the conclusion, this is a hotel I would gladly stay at again. When I evaluate a hotel, I don't judge it solely on luxury or facilities. What matters most to me is how the people working at the hotel interact with their guests. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a very impressive hotel in that regard. From check-in to check-out, every staff member – at the front desk, in the restaurant, and from housekeeping – greeted me with natural smiles. It didn't feel like formal customer service because I was a 'guest,' but rather as if they were treating me as an individual. The hotel's location is also excellent. While it's within walking distance to the Thamel area, upon returning to the hotel, you find a calm space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a very convenient hotel for both sightseeing and staying. I also enjoyed breakfast every day. Beyond the variety of dishes, Nepali cuisine was also offered, which was great for a traveler like me to easily enjoy local flavors. On the other hand, there was noise in my room at night, and there was one day when I couldn't get enough rest. This was disappointing. However, what impressed me even more was the hotel staff's response afterward. They listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each issue without downplaying it. Their attitude conveyed a strong desire to 'improve the guest's stay.' During my travels, I pay close attention not only to the hotel's facilities but also to the people working there. No matter how grand the building, if the people aren't good, I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel again. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a hotel where I felt human warmth. Of course, there are always areas for improvement. But this hotel has an attitude of being willing to address those areas. That was of great value to me. That's why if I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would choose this hotel once more. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the front desk staff, restaurant staff, and housekeeping who kindly assisted me during my stay. "Beautiful kathmandu hotel is very nice hotel room and bathroom is very clean. And staff is to good specialy roof top pool and view is to much good and awesome. Loction of hotel is near by market and many famous places. Overall it's nice. This hotel food is very testy. Hotel staff always ready for help any time"

"This is a newly built hotel, and it's rare to find such clean bathrooms in Nepal. It's located in a quiet spot at the entrance of Thamel, right next to the Garden of Dreams. While it's a bit far from central areas like Durbar Square, it's a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet at the hotel. Since it seems brand new, the room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was also spotless, so I felt very comfortable using it. The breakfast area on the 8th floor offered a lovely view. The front desk staff were polite, but during breakfast, I noticed other guests were asked for their egg orders, whereas I wasn't (perhaps because I had already taken scrambled eggs). Also, coffee (other than instant) at breakfast was an extra charge."
