Tainan West Central District Hotels

Two nights and three days in Tainan, my first time exploring this city. The property had a great location, making it easy to get around. However, what truly surprised me was the Tainan beef soup and rice cake the glutinous rice topped with braised pork was something special.

I went to Tainan to visit a friend and chose a business hotel to stay for one night. The room was not big, but the location was good, with the Tainan Canal behind it and pleasant scenery. In addition, Kangqiao Business Hotel provides 24-hour self-service coffee and ice cream, and I asked if there were paper cups I could bring to the room, but there were none. Tainan High Speed ​​Rail is a distance away from the city, so the distance from the high-speed rail station to the city is about the same.

Hotel and building was a little dated. Our room was overly basic in a state or repair. There was a terrible mould smell in the room which we did not like. The bathroom was nice and clean though. The location was pretty good too. Not too far from the station, close to the night market, and close to subways and bus routes. Definitely wouldn’t stay again and would look at paying a little more for a nicer hotel.

Lovely hotel in a central location. Rooms were big with big and soft beds with huge TV. Staff were a delight and well trained. Would stay here again for having zero problems

Nice modern hotel / hostel in the city with nice big kitchen and relaxing area (unfortunately on the 3rd floor, without a room key or the help from reception not able to get there). Room was spacious. Toothbrush, laundry etc. need to pay for it. Got a voucher of 50 ********* dollar to spend at the hotel. Very strict with check out time (11am). Got a call at 11:02 that I need to check out. Free water in the room available. Overall happy with the hotel, room and service.

Great location! It’s very easy to get to some attractions we are planning to go. The hotel room is very spacious and clean. Will definitely visit again

My stay at Hotel Tainan was just okay overall. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was good, offering a decent variety of options to start the day. The room itself was fine, though it felt a bit outdated, particularly the bathroom, which was noticeably old, except for the modern heated toilet. While functional, the overall atmosphere of the hotel didn’t feel particularly pleasant or inviting. It served its purpose, but I wouldn’t describe it as a comfortable or memorable place to stay.

We had a great stay at Kindness Day Hotel! It’s small but sleek and modern, with a cozy vibe. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially for us English speakers, which made everything so easy. The lounge with unlimited coffee and cookies was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. You get a free drink ticket each night for beer or juice, which is a nice perk. Just be sure to use them the same day as they expire. We didn’t get a chance to use ours! The breakfast buffet was decent, not amazing, but still a nice option to have. With a bus stop and bike station right outside and plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, it’s a super convenient and welcoming place to stay. Highly recommend!

The hotel room is spacious and well maintained. The hotel is located about 1km away from Tainan Railway station, with about 15 minutes walking distance on the flat corridor outside the shop houses.

Arrived late at hotel. They told me supper was served at hotel restaurant (included in booking fee). Good spread of food and beverages. Room was spacious and clean but decor a bit dated (esp the bedside lamps) Service was helpful and attentive. Location quite far from Tainan HSR. Can take free shuttle bus and alight at Koxinga Shrine stop.
