Taipei Zhongzheng District Hotels

Location wise, superb! Ximen MRT exit 4 and walked 2-3 minutes, lovely. So much to eat and walk around. Hotel self check in was confusing and not friendly enough. Staffs a bit overwhelmed at weekend but very helpful weekday checkout and help with arranging ride to the airport. Lobby and restaurants were fantastic, room a bit tired. Carpet rather dirty and worn. Shower cubicle door seal worn, water leaked after shower. Bed too springy not enough support. Pillow a bit flat, I asked for a 2nd to improve sleep quality. Overall very good location in Taipei.

Good location. Opposite of Taipei Main Station which you can find MRT, HSR, Airport Train and local buses. Taipei Main Station is really huge. If you happen to be here, please find Station Front Mall to locate exit to the hotel which is Z2 and Z4 which will lead you to the hotel building. Find Asia Plaza tower and use elevator to go to level 7 where the receptionist counter located. A lot of convenience store Family mart, 7-11 and fast food nearby. Walking distance to Ximending. Will book again in the future.

The absolute best thing about this place is its location. Situated directly across from Taipei Main Station, it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. The back alleys are also packed with amazing street food – a definite highlight. However, on the downside, the facilities are quite dated and could really use a renovation. Specifically, the showerhead in the bathroom was difficult to control, causing water to spray all over the floor. It would also have been a nice touch if the instant coffee provided came with creamer. Lastly, the seating area in the lobby was quite limited.

The hotel has limited facilities, with a laundry room but no gym. However, its location is incredibly convenient, it's spotlessly clean, and offers fantastic value for money! Taipei Main Station, Beimen Station, and Ximending are all within a 10-minute walk. The surrounding area boasts plenty of great food options, shops like Sanmin Bookstore, and banks and post offices where you can easily exchange foreign currency, making everything incredibly convenient!

Great location. Easily assessable from Taipei Main Station, about 5 min by car (if there’s no traffic jam). Walking distance to nearby night market & shopping area. Lots of eateries nearby. Not forgetting the convenience of a 7-11 beside the hotel entrance. Good breakfast selection. Only issue is that the breakfast seating area is rather limited as it’s also the lounge area for the check-in & check-out. They also prepare a birthday card & goodies for my boys who were celebrating their birthdays. Very thoughtful. Highly recommend to stay here.

Found the hotel location to be practical – 7/8 mins from Taipei main station and an even shorter walk from NTU hospital station. The taiwan museum is righf next door so great if you’re into that. You check in at L3 and the staff were pleasant and friendly. There’s also coffee on that level. Laundry facilities are on L10 & L12. The room was alright, not a lot of space for 2 pax with 2 luggages but a comfortable space nonetheless. But I didn’t like the washroom design. The doors are not frosted enough, making it awkward for non-couples. Also, the door would not close if there’s a floor mat outside, which I found extremely annoying since one would need to dry their feet before coming out…?

The hotel was at a great location, just 1 min walk to the nearest metro station exit (with escalatior). There's a weekend market nearby which features some interesting stuff. The famous breakfast shop Fu Hang Soy Milk 阜杭豆漿 is just a 10mins walk We arrived late at midnight, notified the hotel in advance and glad to know that the front desk is 24/7. Check-in was smooth and received ice-cream voucher for joining its membership programme. The room was a double room, not too big, but enough for two people with two big suitcases. Bathroom was separated from the toilet, which was decent. One thing worth noting is that they don't provide one-time toiletries. You can bring your own or spend TWD200 for one set, which was exactly what we did.

Smooth check in but they do not offer early check in. Safe hotel you even need key card to access the floors so plus 1 for safety. Have an elevator right outside the hotel that connects to MRT so you will have no problem carrying your luggage. They provide coupon for breakfast so if you did not use it for the day you can use the coupon for additional person on the next days. They have lots of offering for breakfast, cake, fruits, cereal, even hot chocolate! I wish they can offer soup tho. They even have weighing scale in the reception area for your luggages. Will definitely recommend this hotel and if I go back to Taipei, I will use this hotel again. Also, one of the Hello Kitty themes 7-eleven is right below this hotel.

A big thank you to the helpful Ctrip agent who went out of her way to book me the same room as my previous stay. That last visit was particularly special as we celebrated my son's acceptance into his master's program and a post-pandemic birthday here. This time, the hotel's facilities and service were as consistently excellent as before. Despite the slightly hazy view due to unfavorable weather, this is the only place that offers such a superb vantage point, with iconic Taipei landmarks like Xiaonanmen, the Presidential Office Building, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and Taipei 101 all visible. It was a truly enjoyable trip to Taipei, and we look forward to returning next year.

Cosmos Hotel is very conveniently located right next to Taipei Main metro station, which is linked to Taipei local rail station and the metro to Taoyuan Airport. The Taipei Main metro station is also a popular starting/meeting point for many day tours to nearby attractions like Yehliu Geopark and Jiufen Old Street. The room was a bit small with low ceiling and tiny windows. Showering was also a little tricky because the old-fashioned separate hot and cold water taps were difficult to adjust and of course, the ceiling and shower head were rather low for my tall-ish family. We appreciated the courteous service of the staff at the reception, the concierge and housekeeping. And were delighted with the complimentary drink vouchers for the in-house 17Cafe. The counter crew preparing our drinks were exceptionally friendly.
