Spa Hotels in Takachiho

As Takachiho Gorge is comparatively hard to get to we felt much better staying in Takachiho for a night. And it's great to find a modern hotel in Takachiho, the front desk was nice and helpful, note that it is such a small town and dining options are not a lot so I would recommend have dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Hotel has a large parking lot and breakfast is great (a bit wait in the morning during peak time)

I stayed here to visit Takachiho gorge, which I wanted to go to for the first time on my first trip with him in the spring of 2016. We grew to adore our attendant Chung Shu Fan who took us to our dining rooms and was very kind and spoke to us in English as we struggled with the Japanese language. We always looked forward to breakfast and dinner here where we were served the best of the local delicacies.

At check-in, I was charged a higher amount than the room rate I confirmed at the time of my phone reservation. When I asked why, I was booking in a single room, but a semi double room was prepared. This was vacant in a single room at the time of the telephone reservation, and it was 5000 yen (tax included) per night, and I made a reservation after confirming that I would accept the reservation. On the other hand, the receptionist said, ”the hotel has not selected the type of room for the customer at the time of booking. Because it is a hotel with a small number of rooms, I will assign a room that is vacant on the day and stay. If it was thought that it was confirmed in a single room, the customer might have been mistaken in the telephone exchange between the hotel staff and the customer. ” If you book a hotel and arrive, you don't know whether it's a room of 5000 yen or a room of 5900 yen, and there are many choices for guests who convince you by such a reservation method. Anyway, this reservation confirmed that there was a vacancy in the single room at the time of the telephone reservation, and I was talking on the phone with the person in charge to make a reservation in the single room. I told you that it was not a mistake here, but I said, ”If you don't like this hotel so much, go there because you will introduce another hotel.” Finally, I was able to refund the difference to seem troublesome, but I was sad that it was a response that did not try to hear the argument at all. As for this, it was a room chosen after comparing multiple inn and reservation method, so it was unbearable that the accommodation fee and the type of room were changed only for the convenience of the hotel. Also, I asked in advance to be able to leave my luggage to arrive in the morning, but when I arrived on the day, there was no one in the lobby and I went out because I was able to use it urgently. Please leave your luggage behind the counter.”

A long-established inn in the downtown area of Takachiho Town. Bus terminals and Takachiho Shrine from Nobeoka are slopes, but a few minutes walk away. Yamazaki convenience store is also nearby. Although it is a long-established store, you can feel the traces of various renovations. The toilet in the room was small but with a washlet. The difficulty is that there is no elevator. I still want an elevator to go back and forth between the １ floor and ３ floors. On the other hand, although it was dinner, the dishes centered on local dishes were lined up, and the sukiyaki of Miyazaki beef was delicious.

Travel for the first time in two years after refraining from corona. This was a home inn (^ ^) The single room is large enough and comfortable. I thought that the trip was an inn 〜. It was breakfast, but you can eat it from the morning! The side dishes are as shown in the photo. You can refill rice. On the way back, Takachiho tea petit gift ♪ This is an inn I want to visit again.
