Advantages: High cost performance, only more than 200. The location is opposite Gaoshan Villa, and nearby is the bus station (Beijing Front/Huanzhang Hall), which is more than ten minutes' walk from the station. It was quite quiet at night, the hotel was clean, the rooms were cleaned every day, and different wagashi were served. The bosses are an elderly couple and will watch you go out.
Disadvantages: There is no elevator (Ctrip's information is wrong), only steep stairs, a total of four floors, which is quite difficult to carry a large suitcase. Every morning at eight o'clock, someone knocks on the door and wants to bring you coffee. You say no, but still knock on time the next day. There is no kettle or hairdryer in the room. The hairdryer is shared at the bathroom door and cannot be taken to the room. There are two bathrooms, one large and one small. The large bathroom can only be used by two or more people. The bathroom closes after ten o'clock. Can no longer be used. I really get a headache when I encounter someone who is dawdling in the bath. After checking out, I want to store my luggage, even if I just come over after breakfast, it's not possible. The boss and his wife only speak a little bit of English.

房間非常乾淨整潔～（藍色被套很好看很温馨）
老爺爺會非常耐心仔細地介紹房間設施以及周邊的景點，每天早上還會有一杯免費的咖啡☕️每天出門時爺爺奶奶都會親切地在玄關打招呼祝玩得開心🥰
高山真的很美很美！不會忘記一推開門就見到被雪覆蓋的一切時的驚喜～希望有機會能在其他季節再來一次！這幾天很冷，而且天黑得很快，每天差不多七點吃完飯買完零食就回來了，然後泡泡公共浴室的温泉，超級暖呼呼
唯一有一點點不太方便的是離車站有點遠，還要爬一點點坡，但離丸明很近，走幾分鐘就可以去排隊等啦！
真的是非常温馨美好的回憶🫶～

A well located place in old town, and premise kept clean. No food provided here. Rooms are heated, hot water flask and tea topped up each day and fresh towels. The biggest issue was that it was uncomfortable sleeping on thin mattress and the noise levels. It’s on a busy road, traffic well into the night and you hear every voice and movement within the building. This caused sleepless nights and anxiety., otherwise very good value.

This was our first stay in a traditional Japanese Lodge and we enjoyed the stay and will recommend it. The beds were very comfortable and warm. After walking around Takayama in the cool December days, we took advantage of the hot tub and loved the hot water. I will definitely return if I’m back to Takayama !! Sweet couple that operates this place ! Love it ! Feels like home !! Tatami style room super clean ! !!!! You share the toilets ! But it’s always empty ! They wake you up with a cup of coffee ! Love it
