This is a modernised hotel with original features and pool with bar giving spectacular views over the bay. Issue with room quickly resolved at check in. Buffet style breakfast delicious with home made options. Friendly. Nearby private beach lidos with optimal service at extra cost. Restaurants within walking distance and the funicular to Taormina. Note narrow pedestrian access to this as few defined sidewalks.

The hotel is not 4 stars. When it opened, maybe it had these stars for the 90s, but since then, apparently, no repairs have been done. The location is not the best - 15 minutes walk to Isola Bella along the side of the road, 10 minutes to the funicular.
If you leave the hotel to the left, you can walk to the sandy beach, there are many times fewer people there!
There is also a staircase to the city, not as well-maintained as from Isola Bella, but close by.
The breakfasts are meager - for 4 * very modest.
The service is excellent, everyone is happy, everyone is smiling.
Those who have a car - parking is a problem, the hotel has 5 parking spaces, there is no parking on the road.
If you are lucky with the room, then a gorgeous view of the sea! We had a Deluxe, 3rd floor, right there is an exit to the pool, very convenient. The pool itself is small. By the way, the hotel is in the shade after 12 noon, so you can't sunbathe by the pool.
It was more advantageous in terms of price, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

The hotel was great, first impressions it was a steep walk up (not ideal in wheelchair or buggy) the hotel seemed a bit dated. Staff very friendly. I think it would help if the rugs on ground floor would be gotten rid of. They looked so old and not cleaned. Our room was on 4th floor, balcony facing the seafront. It was lovely. The room is spacious, bathroom was a good size and balcony was also a good size. The tv (which we watched for 30 min throughout our stay) was very small - I can only describe it as the size of my work computer screen. This didn't bother us as like I mentioned we hardly used it. Pool was good. We saw it being cleaned one afternoon which is good to know. Enough sun loungers. Breakfast was standard buffet style. The coffee machine was out of use one morning and one of the staff was making coffee from a different machine and bringing it over which was very nice! Short walk to free beach (5 mins). A bit of a further walk (15 mins) in opposite direction to cable car to go into the main city. further 10 mins away is access to Isola Bella. Nice quiet hotel. Would recommend.

The hotel has a great view from the rooms looking at the sea. Breakfast is good with minimal requirements. The hotel building inside is outdated and worn out and needs immediate interventions. The hotel does not have access to beach umbrellas and beach amenities, but the bus station is near to travel to the city.

The structure is a bit dated, the room and bathroom are clean but definitely need renovation, however the view from the small terrace of the room is beautiful and overshadows everything else! The breakfast is good and varied but they could also include some typical local products. The hotel staff is very courteous, helpful and attentive to solving any problem that may arise during the stay. The only negative aspect, unfortunately, is due to the difficulty of accessing the hotel entrance and the very few paid parking spaces inside the structure, which are also located on a very steep and uncomfortable hill and are only by reservation. Outside the hotel, always paid, (rather expensive I would say, €30 per day for the month of August) it is possible to park about 600 meters away (they say) but in reality, from the hotel to the parking space, the distance calculated on foot with the smartphone was over 1 km.

Huge, welcoming and clean room; very kind staff. The room had a small balcony from which you could enjoy a breathtaking view of the bay. The structure is huge and full of potential. Unfortunately, compared to the type of structure, the experience was not as hoped. Parking is non-existent, we left the car at the affiliated parking lot which is quite far on foot and expensive. Access to the structure by car even just to leave the suitcases is difficult due to the slope of the entrance road which is limited to a minimum by the few cars that park inside the hotel. The swimming pool closes at 6pm, so for those who also want to go on an excursion and visit the area it becomes inaccessible.. that would be exactly the time to keep it open at least until 8pm! Breakfast varied but a little limited and without any trace of some typical products.

The view of the hotel and also the location justify the price. Spectacular view of the sea and excellent location to reach both the free beach or equipped lido near the structure (5/6 minutes on foot) and to reach Isola Bella (10/15 minutes max on foot) and also to reach the cable car that takes you to Taormina (10' max on foot). In any case it is also close to the bus stop. Quiet swimming pool and always with an excellent sea view. Parking a little expensive and a little inconvenient (there are 4/5 parking spaces on a steep climb) but there is no alternative other than parking on the street (very few spaces) or in the nearest parking lot which is in the cable car square at a higher price. The breakfast is not bad but something more could be added and above all I strongly recommend displaying the cards with the description of the product both in Italian and English given the massive presence of foreigners. The structure needs to be improved (rejuvenated) but I think they are working on it. The rooms are quite large and with a nice terrace. Small adjustments can make the difference for this property which I believe, given its location, has excellent potential... but obviously the price would then increase.
