I want to tell you about my experience staying at the Isaka Hotel, which I do not recommend to anyone to repeat. Yesterday, upon check-in, the hotel administrator asked to cancel the reservation on ***********, because... They have a very large commission. We agreed without a second thought and paid in cash (yes, there is a terminal there, but payment is only in cash) for the entire 15 days of our stay. We regretted the cancellation and payment very much and very soon, but more on that below. We were placed in room 7, right next to the reception. Immediately a not very pleasant smell rushed into the nose (somewhat similar to cigarettes), which did not disappear after airing. Dirty walls with stains, furniture from the USSR, the room is poorly heated, and it is cold from the separate exit to the street. We reluctantly decided to stay, since the situation with available hotels is not the best right now. In the evening it turned out that the shower in the room was leaking very badly and all the water from the bathroom was flowing into the room. Apparently it has been leaking for more than one month, because we found mold under the wallpaper that had peeled off due to moisture. But the reason for the bad smell in the room immediately became clear - dampness. And a little more about the wallpaper in the place where the water flowed out. There is a socket there and it comes off the wall along with the wallpaper. Is it safe, I don't think so? We called the administrator in the evening and asked to send someone to clean up the flood in the room. To which we received the answer: “No one is there, everyone has left. Look in the kitchen for a rag.” They searched, didn’t find it, cleaned it up with napkins. The next day we tried to negotiate with the administrator about a refund and go to another hotel, but they refused to give us a refund. We offered to leave them money for their stay at the hotel + pay 100 GEL on top for a penalty. I still don’t understand why it’s impossible to return the remaining money deposited yesterday in cash... But we were offered to change the awl for soap and move to another hotel with very dubious reviews. We said goodbye to the owners without returning the money. We won’t become poorer, but they certainly won’t bring them happiness. And arguing with scammers is not a good idea. I hope our story will save you from checking into this hotel.
