I had a truly wonderful 3 nights stay in Tara Phendeyling hotel. It is a contemporary Bhutanese style hotel, super friendly staff and good bakery. My unforgettable experience was the staff went above and beyond to make me feel special, from their warm hospitality to the thoughtful decorations in my room. I was especially touched by the surprise birthday celebration they arranged—it was completely unexpected and so heartwarming, a very special thanks to Namgay Thinley, Bishnu Maya, Dorji, Yeshey, Pema Lhadon, Pema Dolma, Chef Suk Man, Sangay, Sharmilla. (If you are reading this, thank you for your patient as I’m late in writing the review). Every interaction with the team was met with kindness and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. A heartfelt thank you again to the amazing staff. Highly recommended for anyone seeking outstanding service with a personal, heartfelt touch!

We enjoyed a very lovely stay at this centrally located hotel in Thimpu. Check in was a breeze and the hospitality excellent! Our room was simply decorated and very comfortable, with great hot water and water pressure. It was also quiet--a plus since the hotel is next to a main road. The beds were a bit hard, but I think that's standard in Bhutan. Pillows were oh so perfect for sleeping. Heat worked very well (important since it was chilly at night). The buffet breakfast was a little limited --there was French toast that was just OK, chicken sausage, potatoes (like French fries but regretfully on the 'cool' side, not hot and fresh)), and fruit (superb watermelon chunks and tart pineapple). Coffee was yummy! I asked for plain toast and butter since I don't eat regular breakfast foods ((prefer yoghurt and pastries). We enjoyed a 4 course dinner that was primarily veggie but included a chicken dish. Food was yummy and local wine was a nice addition. Staff was extremely helpful with the few question we had. In the front of the hotel is a bakery and you can smell the delicious baking goods early in the morning (surprising that none were served with breakfast). Overall, we had a great stay!!!

Modern hotel, quite far from the city center. Large, well-equipped rooms. Bathroom with bathtub. Very clean. Heating by reversible air conditioning. Good speed WiFi. Classic breakfast. Very good for a stopover in the capital.

Während unserer Rundreise durch Bhutan haben wir im Tara Phendeyling Hotel in Thimphu übernachtet. Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel. Das ruhige Zimmer war sehr gross, gut ausgestattet mit einem Safe, Wasserkocher, Tee, Kaffee, Cookies, Trinkwasser, Kühlschrank, …. Das Zimmer ist mit viel Holz und einem Plattenboden eingerichtet. Das Abendessen und Frühstück waren sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter alle super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen und würden gerne dort wieder übernachten!
