"I have gone there to get materialistic comfort i.e. cozy bed, warm room, stinkless toilet, delicious foods, etc. But what I have received is a homely or psychological attachment to my needs. Service with a broad smile, with a positive approach to make the ambience (not just a staying) warm and contented, is better than service given mechanically. Nothing is perfect on this earth (not even the gods or goddesses). We are not perfect, still we expect super-perfection from others ! Actually perfection is a utopian word. Striving to achieve with our best is the real thing that only exists. Back on earth, to the hotels, Khamsum Inn (Thimphu) and Hotel Khamsum (Paro), the rooms here are spacious enough. The whiteness of bed isn't generally come across at this rate. The position of rooms, lift and stairs in each floor is really well-planned. The lay-out of fire evacuation at different locations of the hotel, from rooms to landings, broadens my smile. And finally some great paintings on Bhutanese life and culture add a pure aesthetic value to our soul too ! In the restaurants the serving girls don't wear gloves, but they wear trust in their hands ! So spic and span the kitchens and the restaurants are, so hygienic and delicious the foods and water are, and so to say or not to mention the drooping gestures met by us in every nook and corner of the hotel, with smiles, smiles and smiles everywhere ! The hotels actually have "3 Stars" accreditation, but Usmita (The Manager of both Khamsum Inn, Thimphu and Hotel Khamsum, Paro), Chimi (The Duty Manager of Hotel Khamsum, Paro), Isha (The Receptionist of Khamsum Inn, Thimphu) and the girls and boys (I don't know all their names) at the receptions as well as at the restaurants and kitchens in both the hotels took care of us so honestly, so meticulously, couldn't ignore even little things that could discomfort us a bit that, according to me, they are the real "STARS" !
