"CityHotel is a nice place to stay with very helpful staff and a great location. The rooms are large and comfortable and you are right in the middle of the city and can walk anywhere. There was not a frig in our room which was no big deal but might be to others. We had a very large balcony where one can sit out if the weather is nice. The reception staff is very helpful with suggestions and accommodating your needs. Special mention to Sangay who helped us with so many things (car/driver etc) that I am not sure her title. She was terrifically helpful. If you want luxury it is certainly there in Thimphu but you will have to pay 3-4 times as much. CityHotel gets the job done for a reasonable price and great service."

"I emailed this hotel about 6 months prior to our stay to reserve a room for 2 nights. I received an email confirmation afterward. About 2 weeks before our trip, I emailed them to again confirm our room (as I always do). They informed me that there was an error and they only reserved a room for one night for us even though we requested two. They were sold out, so I had no option but to find another hotel last minute. Looks like a very nice place to stay, disappointed in the reservation process that they have."
