Shangrila Hotel never disappoints me. Always an excellent stay with Shangrila. Staff are friendly and English speaking. Spectacular view at our window. Sumptuous and wide variety of choices for breakfast buffet. Amenities are world class. The price was worth the hassle free, enjoyable and memorable experience.

Nothing short of excellent. Very convenient with the metro just in front of e hotel, river walk by the back, train station for the train to Beijing just 5mins away by car. Fantastic views of the river from the room. Truly luxurious stay. Lounge was great too! Pic is a view from the room.

The service was perfect! I am very happy with the hotel staff! I had forgotten my glasses in the room and they were mailed to me immediately! Highly recommend! Perfect in every way😃👍

Overall we had a lovely stay here. The location is great, and the rooms and reception area were beautifully decorated. The pool and gym were amazing (best hotel gym I've ever seen!), and never very busy. Staff were friendly and polite. And there was never a queue for the lifts. There were a few niggles which I'll list below for other people who appreciate these types of details, but they were by no means deal breakers.
Niggles included:
- we always had a long wait at reception to be served
- the deposit is large (almost the price of the stay again)
- no plugs on one side of the bed so you can't charge your phone next to you
- the minibar wasn't very cold
- no takeout delivery to rooms (usually this is done by robot)
- beds are very soft which might give some people backache
- our toilet cistern kept running (we fixed it ourselves every time)
- the shower leaked
- the blinds over the windows are all or nothing, there are no curtains that you can just pull over part of the window
- the swimming pool is very shallow at just 1.2 metres with no deep end - this made swimming difficult for both of us as we're on the taller side
- you must sign a declaration before every swim/workout (I think once per customer would be enough!) and wear a swimming cap in the pool (the hotel sells them).

Great view from the North facing rooms. Disappointed by the smallish old TV set (no Bluetooth etc). No coffee machine in the room. No bathrobe either.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect. The view of the river from the room is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. We loved having access to the club floor. We highly recommend staying here.
