"I visited Tianjin right before the May Day holiday, hoping to avoid the crowds, and chose the Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe. First off, its location is simply superb – a quiet oasis in a bustling city, with convenient transportation and stunning river views right along the Haihe. The hotel has a large, secure, and convenient above-ground parking lot. The Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe is definitely one of the best hotels in Tianjin. The service from check-in to housekeeping was exceptional, with friendly and approachable staff. The welcome fruit was abundant and fresh. The room facilities were complete, clean, hygienic, and free of any odors. The hotel gym was simple yet practical. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. During the May Day holiday, the hotel also offered a BBQ seafood buffet on the first floor. As night fell, stepping out of the hotel, the magnificent night view of the Haihe River immediately greeted me. Strolling along the river, enjoying the breeze and chatting, created a wonderfully romantic and happy atmosphere. The hotel is very close to the 'Italian Style Street' (Italian Concession), making it easy to reach by foot or bicycle. For Western food, I recommend the French or Italian restaurants in the 'Italian Style Street'. For Chinese food, I suggest 'Zhenbao Tianjin Cuisine' near the hotel, especially their Eight Treasure Tofu, which is a must-try. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be that the mattress in the room was too soft and uncomfortable."

Atour Hotel Tianjin Eye 💰 Price on the day: Deluxe River View King Room 366 RMB (Ctrip) 1️⃣ Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The overall cleanliness was excellent, no dust, no water stains. The floor was so clean you could walk barefoot! Very impressive. 2️⃣ Facilities ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The room was neat and comfortable, with a very stylish decor! The small chair and round table were perfect for eating takeout. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, an electric toilet, and a three-piece shower set. The TV supported screen casting and online streaming. The hairdryer was a Dyson (a bit old, but worked wonderfully with three adjustable temperatures and strong airflow). The minibar even had a coffee machine! Plus, electric curtains were a nice touch. 3️⃣ Hotel Services ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive. You can kindly ask them for a late checkout until 2 PM. They also thoughtfully provided breakfast vouchers and there's a bar at the front desk if you don't feel like going out. Most importantly, there's a delivery robot that brings takeout right to your door! 4️⃣ Soundproofing ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The soundproofing was quite good. 5️⃣ Comfort ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No smoke or strange odors in the room. Complete bedding with four pillows and a comforter of moderate thickness. The three-piece toiletries were good. The in-room smart home assistant was very convenient. Sitting on the recliner by the window, enjoying the Hai River view, was absolutely delightful. 6️⃣ Location/Transportation ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only 820m from the Tianjin Eye. The hotel has an underground parking lot with charging stations. 7️⃣ Dining ⭐⭐⭐ Turn left outside the hotel for Juyou Xuan, specializing in Tianjin cuisine. About 600m away, there's also Jinmen Yipin Yang Copper Pot Hotpot. 8️⃣ Value for Money ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent value for money, highly recommended for student couples! You couldn't even dream of this price in Beijing [laughing emoji]."

"Our family chose the Pan Pacific Tianjin for our trip to Tianjin, and the room was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. We even received complimentary snacks and drinks. The next morning, we headed down to breakfast early. Ms. Han, the hostess, greeted us with a warm smile at the entrance, and Supervisor Tang Qian personally escorted us to our table. Even though the restaurant was crowded, all the staff were friendly and attentive. The cleaning staff were quick to clear tables, and even helped us get coffee and milk. It was a very pleasant stay, and we'll definitely prioritize the Pan Pacific Hotel next time we're in Tianjin."

"Not recommended mainly due to disappointment of its name being St Regis. Service was significantly below the brand elsewhere. Location is excellent as the Haihe River is right outside of the hotel. Riverside 66 (Hang Lung shopping mall) was across the street. Dinner buffet at 40% off for hotel guests but no excitement. The discounted price barely justify the food at buffet. Service at breakfast was not meeting the standard at any hotel: 1. A young waiter collected the cutlery of my wife when I told him that “not finished”. His facial expression was bad and whispered “what a big deal” when he walked away. Note he has not asked if he can collect! 2. On another day, no one cleaned up the table when the guests left … a lot of waiters were around."

I've never encountered a hotel that calls to rush you out for check-out as early as 10 AM – it was quite annoying. Not a single staff member had a good attitude. Because my flight was later in the evening, I needed to extend my stay by an hour. The front desk staff seemed incompetent; they insisted that I had to move from my booked twin room to a king room that morning, which made no sense to me. Still, I complied. The front desk kept changing their story, which I found incredibly frustrating. The service was genuinely poor. Moreover, the luggage storage area was completely unattended, meaning anyone could just walk in and take bags. The hotel desperately needs to improve its staff's professionalism and training."
