We stayed for a fantastic and unbelievable week. What a wonderful place to stay. The food was superb (the cheesecake was just one highlight! Oh, and the sirloin. And the lamb. And the Caesar Salad. Got the idea?), and we loved looking out over the sea and across the volcanic landscape. But the best bit? The Hotel team. All of them. No exceptions. A most wonderful set of hosts to make our time magical. The muzak played is a bit intrusive - a better vibe would be soft jazz, or classical music. But it’s only a minor point easily sorted! Thank you César Lanzarote. We will be back.

We had the most incredible stay here. From the moment we arrived we were looked after superbly by the exceptional staff - special mention for the wonderful restaurant team (Oscar, Olga, Antonio are the only names we knew but they were ALL brilliant!!) The entire hotel is immaculate and a glorious visual feast inside and out. Our first visit to the island and we have fallen in love with it, in particular this hotel. Undoubtedly one of the best we have ever stayed.

Outstanding hotel, with friendly and attentive staff. Cesar Manrique´s father lived there and the restoration has been sympathetically carried out (the hotel opened in 2023). The views are fabulous - volcanic mountains and sea from on high. The food was excellent although it would stretch the budget if you were to stay for on extended period - we had two nights. A minor quibble was the constant muzak - we could have done without it. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Despite other reviews we have read which were variable we had a family lunch at the hotel in May From the minute we arrived we were made extremely welcome by all of the staff including the waiters, the restaurant manager and the hotel manager The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is a real tribute to Manriuques architectural style The lunch was without doubt the best meal we have had in 25 years of visiting Lanzarote. The recommended wine was sublime and the entire experience was very memorable This is one to try if you are in Lanzarote, you will not be disappointed

Very lovely location for a really stunning hotel. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Attractive hotel with unusual and impressive grounds. Great base for exploring the highlights of Lanzarote as well as for lounging by the pool in neatly secluded sunbathing pods.

We just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at the Cesar. From the moment we were greeted by Barbara and Debbie in Reception onwards we were struck by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the hotel staff. Always smiling, always looking for ways to make our stay even better. The hotel atrium is a calm oasis of light and filled with plants. Our room was also nicely decorated in white and green with doors onto a terrace which had a spectacular panoramic view. The pool area is just beautiful and is now the screensaver photo on my phone! The food at the Cesar is first class and we ate very well there morning and evening. We came wanting a peaceful retreat and some winter sunshine and we got it! Highly recommended!

A little pricey but completely worth it. I was especially impressed by their salad, which was entirely home-grown (including even the avocado). Their house wine, made by Jable de Tao, was one of the best in Lanzarote (I am a wine writer). Service was above and beyond.

This hotel has some positives but at the ( exorbitant) cost there are a LOT of negatives. In particular: 1. The swimming pool is unheated and far too cold to swim in. Since this is the only facility on offer this is very disappointing. 2. The site is windswept and often chil. 3. The hotel is remotely situated- very little within walking distance and taxi drivers don’t seem to know where it is. 4. Almost nothing is included in the price. For example the coffee machine in the room is only equipped with 2 capsules per day, there is no fresh fruit etc. Overall: wildly overpriced and very poor value.
