Nice place to stay, especially for business trips. The location is excellent and easy to access. The room and facilities were clean, but there’s some room for improvement in cleanliness and service.
Staff were okay, but could be more helpful and welcoming. Amenities were excellent and everything I needed was available.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would consider staying here again.
The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending.
Not bad, if you don't mind the Malays chanting in the morning opposite

First of all, a big thank you to Mr. Vickneswaran from the security team for his warm guidance and assistance from the moment we entered the auto parking system. He was incredibly helpful in showing us where to go and made us feel very welcomed right from the start.
To my surprise, one of the staff members even shared a piece of cake and wished us a wonderful honeymoon vacation—such a thoughtful gesture! (I was so touched, I forgot to ask for the staff’s name.) Moments like these really made our stay memorable.
Overall, the staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and made us feel appreciated throughout our visit. I’ve also included a photo of the lovely card greeting we received from the team—another sweet touch that we’ll always remember.
Thank you again to the whole team for making our honeymoon start with such warm hospitality!
I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. There's a 24-hour mart just downstairs, which makes it super easy to grab snacks or drinks anytime.
The location is excellent – lots of popular restaurants and night markets are within walking distance. Perfect for food lovers!
A few things to keep in mind:
The TV isn’t a smart TV, so only local channels are available
No conditioner provided, and the shampoo can be a bit drying – if you have long hair, it’s better to bring your own
Overall, a very convenient and pleasant place to stay. Would recommend for anyone visiting the area!
My stay was absolutely fantastic, thanks to Douhouz Georgetown! The booking process was seamless, and the detailed information on the platform made everything easy to plan. The hotel was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. The customer service was responsive and helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend for your next trip!
This is a newly opened hotel with very good facilities and excellent service at the front desk. I stayed at Eastin, Jen, and Wen Baoli on the island a few weekends ago, and this hotel's room environment was the most satisfactory overall. It is located in an old-fashioned arcade next to the Guangda Building, only about 100 meters away from Magazine Street and First Avenue. The front desk even gave me a gift because I was one of the first guests to stay there. The only drawbacks are (1) the swimming pool and gym on the third floor were not open on the first day of my stay; (2) many facilities were under renovation and debugging, the elevator had a bit of a renovation smell, and it was quite noisy during the day (the soundproofing in the area where I stayed was relatively good, and there was no sound from the road outside, but there were electric drills during the day); (3) the window can only be opened a little bit, so you can't see the view. Here is a picture of the view outside the window of Wen Baoli in Figure 4 for comparison. I believe that if I stay again in a while, this hotel will be one of the better hotels on the island.
The best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. Great location in the middle of Penang Town. Everything was complete from the services, amneties, and cleanliness of facilities. Kudos to White Mansion Hotel.
With a stay at 118 Hotel, you'll be centrally located in George Town, steps from KOMTAR and within a 5-minute drive of Gurney Drive. This hotel is 2.7 mi (4.3 km) from Gurney Plaza and 4.5 mi (7.2 km) from Penang Hill.
