In Tokyo, where every inch of land is valuable, the basic room is 70 square meters, which is really luxurious. The service is very, very good. They even bought cold medicine for me because I had a cold. The breakfast is very rich, with both Japanese and Western food. You can overlook Mount Fuji from the room. It is worthy of being the number one hotel in Tokyo.

We recently stayed at Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku Japan, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and genuine hospitality, making me feel at home right away. The hotel blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts, offering a serene atmosphere that perfectly complements the beauty of Shinjuku  My room was spacious and impeccably clean, with elegant touches such as shoji screens and tatami mats.We also appreciated the high-tech amenities like a smart toilet, adjustable lighting. The breakfast buffet was a delightful mix of Japanese and Western options, with fresh seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. The location was ideal, with major attractions  Overall, Hotel Sunroute Plaza exceeded my expectation Whether you’re visiting Shinjuku for leisure or business, We highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, peaceful ambiance, and prime location.

Great for our midnight arrival into Tokyo. Conveniently located within Haneda Airport Garden (at Arrivals, just follow the signs to the Haneda Airport Garden and a long corridor will bring you to the Villa Fontaine Grand and Premier Hotels and Spa - take escalator to 2F). We had a big, super clean, JAL Airport themed room with nice water views. Breakfast range and quality was superb for its value. Would stay here again for arrivals and departures out of Haneda.

This was our first stay upon arriving in Japan for our 2 weeks trip. The first impression of the room is pretty small but it was able to open 4 luggage by alternating. We were impressed with the shower pressure (it was the best out of the 4 hotels we stayed) and the breakfast were pretty good although the selections were pretty much the same throughout our stay. Location wise, we were pretty traumatised pushing our luggage (2 big 1 small 2 backpacks) as the walking distance from the sub train station was quite far. There is a family mart right beside the hotel which had pretty decent selections. The walk to the main Ginza area takes about 20minutes which wasn’t as convenient as we thought. There is onsen, laundry machine and luggage transport service available but we only managed to use the laundry machine which wasn’t a pleasant experience as I had to head down to the laundry room multiple times to check whether there is available machine for use (which ended up being full and wasted my trips). Could incorporate an app or TV update to show the usage of the laundry machines which 2 out of 4 of the hotels we stayed had, definitely very helpful and time saving)

The hotel is magnificent, with the luxury of the last century. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. After staying, you will feel the attentive service everywhere. Problems are dealing quickly and efficiently. If you sit near the window in the restaurant on the 17th floor, you can enjoy the view of Hibiya Park and the garden of Imperial Palace. Ginza is also within easy walking distance and Takarazuka Theatre is nearby. When you need a taxi, there is always one waiting to serve you. ::))The hotel is conveniently located at the airport, making it a great choice if you have an early flight. The hotel staff provided excellent service, promptly assisting us with our luggage and guiding us to the lobby for check-in. Upon check-in, we received coupons for the onsen and bar, although we didn't have time to use them. The hotel room, while relatively small, is still very good for Tokyo standards. The bathroom is relatively spacious and well-equipped. Plus, there's a bustling shopping street right downstairs from the hotel, making it super convenient for shopping and grabbing a bite to eat. All in all, our experience was really positive, and I'd definitely consider staying at this hotel again on my next trip to Tokyo!

GGuest UserThe decision to book at the Dormy Inn Ginza Hot Springs was swayed by a positive comment that I read from a previous review that remarked on the quality of Dormy Inn staff. Our experience could not have been more opposite. We stayed for four nights over the 2024/2025 new year, and I was appalled at the complete absence of customer service. We had unexpectedly been joined by our adult daughter and asked if she could stay in our room or if we could book a room that could accommodate three. When we indicated that we would like to check the room, front desk staff physically blocked our entry to the elevator, in which were other guests; it was intimidating. I have never experienced such rudeness and inhospitality and we were made to feel untrustworthy. When we were finally permitted to inspect the room, we had to be accompanied by two staff; incredible. I regret that we had prepaid for the four night, because I would have preferred to go to any other hotel in Tokyo than stay at that Dormy Inn. Our daughter did find another hotel rather than book a separate room there. There had been no advice from the front desk about the hotel facilities. We were surprised to learn from a fellow guest about the availability of the lounge on the second floor and the evening ramen. In the lounge another guest told us of the hot springs in the basement. This was information that should have been brought to our attention at check-in. There are many hotels in Tokyo, look elsewhere if you value hospitable, friendly, courteous front desk staff. You will not find any of these qualities at the Dormy Inn Premium Ginza Natural Hot Springs Hotel. It is inhospitable, unfriendly, discourteous and most definitely unwelcoming.

JJaiGThe hygiene at this hotel is impeccable. When you arrive you are not allowed to wear any shoes inside the hotel and you clean your suitcase before entering. The room is a good size, with a strong shower in the bathroom. Bed and pillow is quite hard but it didn't affect my sleep. I loved the onsen area. They have onsen, cold bath and a mineral bath as well as a sauna. It was great to use this after a day of walking. The only downside was breakfast, there is a good range and I did eat some of the food. However, I just felt like when I'd read reviews online it was praising the breakfast. For me though, I thought it was avergae. I didn't think it was worth the money. The hotel is a good location not too far from some of the metro lines and has a number of restaurants and supermarkets close by. Would definitely consider staying here again. The hotel is good value for money.

PPeggy CrowterAbsolutely adored my stay at the dormy inn! It really is worth paying that little bit extra to enjoy all the comfort of an onsen from the comfort of your hotel. The complimentary ice cream just outside the onsen was the cherry on top. There were also communal washing machines and dryers which I was able to make use of during my stay.

GGnynotDormy Inn Ueno Tokyo – A Small but Well-Equipped Stay During my recent stay at Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo, I found it to be a compact yet highly convenient hotel, especially for travelers who prioritize location and practical amenities over excessive space. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it does a great job of providing a comfortable stay with thoughtful touches. Location – Perfect for Travelers One of the best things about this hotel is its location. Just a short walk from Ueno Station, it offers easy access to the JR Yamanote Line, the Keisei Skyliner (for Narita Airport), and multiple metro lines, making it an excellent choice for those who plan to explore different parts of Tokyo. Additionally, the Ameya-Yokocho (Ameyoko) Market is just around the corner, where you’ll find everything from fresh seafood and street food to clothing and souvenirs. It’s a lively area that adds to the appeal of staying in Ueno. Room & Facilities – Compact but Functional As expected, the rooms are small, which is pretty standard in Tokyo, but they are well-designed with everything you need. The bed was comfortable, and the room included basic amenities like a TV, a small desk, and a fridge. Storage space is limited, but for a short stay, it was manageable. The bathroom was also compact, though the onsen (public bath) on-site makes up for it. Onsen – A Small but Relaxing Bath One of the highlights of staying at Dormy Inn hotels is their public bath (onsen), and this location has one, albeit on the smaller side. It’s not the biggest or most luxurious onsen, but it’s a nice way to unwind after a long day of walking around Tokyo. The water temperature was just right, and while the space was limited, it wasn’t overly crowded when I visited. Freebies & Unique Perks Dormy Inn is known for offering small but unique perks to its guests. This location provides free popsicles and yogurt drinks, which is a nice touch. However, they are only available during specific hours, so if you’re out sightseeing all day, you might miss out on them. They also supposedly offer free late-night soba, a Dormy Inn signature, but I never actually saw it happen and didn’t feel like asking about it. Maybe I just missed the time window. Free manga reading Housekeeping – No Room Cleaning, Just Fresh Towels One thing to note is that Dormy Inn follows a no-daily-cleaning policy. Instead of a full room service, they simply drop off fresh towels outside your door. This is fine if you’re staying just a few days, but if you prefer daily room cleaning, you might find it lacking. Staff & Service The staff at check-in were friendly and efficient, which I appreciated. They handled everything quickly and provided all the necessary information without any issues. While I didn’t interact with them much after check-in, the overall service felt professional and welcoming. Final Thoughts – A Solid Stay for Practical Travelers Overall, Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo is a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient, budget-friendly, and functional stay in Tokyo. The location is excellent, the onsen is a nice touch, and the small perks like free drinks and late-night snacks add to the experience. Just keep in mind that the rooms are small, there’s no daily cleaning, and some of the free amenities have limited availability. If you’re okay with that, it’s a great place to stay in Ueno!

AadamwlleeGreat location, very close to the shopping districts of Ginza. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Good access to the Tokyo Metro. Plus point is the Starbucks and Starbucks Reserve within walking distance. Also plus point: the hotel serve free coffee at the lobby. Room is on the smaller end (as with any hotel in Tokyo) but the nice lobby is a nice escape from the room. Clean and daily replenish of towels. This is top choice for me. I would gladly book again when I visit Tokyo.

LLiSilviaConvenient location, great onsen spa, wonderful services, very good breakfast, super tidy and clean. Room was however reeeally small (we booked a semi-double room). Neverthelesss... we booked this hotel because we absolutely loved the hotel of the same brand that we had stayed in in Kyoto last year. And the room size of this one was quite disappointing. If you love onsen then yes definetely go for it. Otherwise I bet there are better options out there.

CChisenThe hotel is in a great location. It's a 5-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke subway station. It's very convenient to travel. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's very convenient to take the subway to other places in Tokyo. The hotel service is good. But the room is too small. It's worth staying.

GGuest UserWe got recommended this hotel by numerous people and it had great reviews online but we did find it a bit overhyped and our least favourite hotel during our time in Japan. The room was a bit scuffed up and could have done with a bit of a freshen up in terms of decoration. That being said it was clean and fine for our stay. The staff were very friendly but didn’t really do much as you had to self check in and check out and I was not told I needed a special card to enter the women’s onsen. The hotel was a bit too busy as well and meant you had to wait a long time to get into the very slow lifts. The location was good though and in a very lively area. I think this hotel would be better suited to friends travelling together rather than a couple.
