Sunshine City Prince Hotel Ikebukuro Tokyo
8.9 (3,896 reviews)

Sunshine City Prince Hotel Ikebukuro Tokyo ★★★★

📍 3 Chome-1-5 Higashiikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo

"The location of this hotel is absolutely unbeatable! It's a short walk from Ikebukuro Station, and there's a direct indoor connection to Sunshine City mall, so you don't have to worry about rain while shopping. All the major popular shopping centers are within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for shoppers. Right downstairs, there's also a direct airport bus stop with fixed daily schedules. This is super handy whether you have an early morning flight or a late arrival, saving you the hassle of transferring multiple times. The room amenities are just average, nothing particularly impressive, but its unbeatable location and affordable price more than make up for it. The overall value for money is exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel for tourists visiting Tokyo for shopping or those who need easy access to and from the airport. Its travel convenience far surpasses other hotels in the same price range."

Shinagawa Prince Hotel
8.7 (4,703 reviews)

Shinagawa Prince Hotel ★★★★

📍 4 Chome-10-30 Takanawa, Minato, Tokyo

"The location is incredibly convenient. It's a direct 20-minute train ride from Haneda Airport, and right across from Shinagawa Station. The hotel itself is comfortable with great views, and there's a bustling commercial area downstairs, including a large 7-Eleven."

HOTEL TAVINOS Asakusa
8.9 (1,914 reviews)

HOTEL TAVINOS Asakusa ★★★

📍 Asakusa 2-18-8, Taito, Tokyo

"Great location. Clean hotel. Easy self check in & check out. Friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again."

Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel
8.7 (3,948 reviews)

Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel ★★★★

📍 3 Chome-7-11 Ariake, Koto, Tokyo

"Be aware that this room type is a Japanese/Western style room; if you're not comfortable with low platforms and no chairs, you might want to avoid it. The room is quite small, so opening a large suitcase isn't very convenient. However, for someone attending an exhibition at Big Sight alone, the location is incredibly convenient, saving a lot of time on early morning subway commutes. There's a McDonald's on the first floor of the hotel (on the opposite side of the lobby), and a Family Mart convenience store across the street. The airport shuttle stops right outside. The front desk provides plenty of toiletries, but the toothbrushes aren't very comfortable, so I recommend bringing your own. The staff are very nice, which is a big plus, especially the cleaning staff – the local ladies provide excellent service. It's also very convenient for taking the Rinkai Line and Yurikamome Line."

Asakusa Hanabi Mercure 1&2
9.1 (39 reviews)

Asakusa Hanabi Mercure 1&2 ★★★

📍 3-29-1 Asakusa, Taito, Tokyo

"The rooms on the first floor are convenient as you don't have to climb stairs. They're very close to Senso-ji Temple, have all the basic amenities, and are fairly clean. However, the air conditioner is above the bed, so it might be a bit noisy when you're sleeping."

Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu
9.0 (1,027 reviews)

Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu ★★★★

📍 Chuo-ku Ginza 7-12-9, Chuo, Tokyo

"The location is superb for shopping around Ginza and near to Donki, really enjoy the breakfast"

Imperial Hotel, Tokyo
9.5 (2,402 reviews)

Imperial Hotel, Tokyo ★★★★★

📍 1 Chome-1-1, Chiyoda, Tokyo

"Breakfast involved a wait of over half an hour, and the selection was limited, mostly Western options. The hotel facilities were quite good, and the service was attentive, though the efficiency of the service could be improved."

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku
8.9 (887 reviews)

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku ★★★

📍 7 Chome-27-9 Shinjuku, Shinjuku, Tokyo

"Front desk is very helpful and kind for luggage storage. Room is clean and tidy."

ONE@Tokyo by insomnia
9.3 (774 reviews)

ONE@Tokyo by insomnia ★★★

📍 1 Chome-19-3 Oshiage, Sumida, Tokyo

"This hotel has a very stylish design. The self-service bar on the first floor offers free, unlimited bread and drinks, along with many origami and board games. Many guests gather in the lobby, making it feel just like a living room at home – a truly wonderful space. The room itself is very well-designed, but it's a bit small. It's suitable for the first night of a trip, as there isn't quite enough space in a double room to organize two people's luggage. However, it's definitely worth staying for a night!"

Sunshine City Prince Hotel Ikebukuro Tokyo ★★★★
"Second time staying at this hotel in Ikebukuro with my daughter. The transportation is very convenient, with a direct airport bus. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and it's directly connected to a shopping mall. Actually, there's even an underground passage that connects to Higashi-Ikebukuro subway station (I think it's the Marunouchi Line). Lots of anime/manga fans in the area. The room is spacious enough for two suitcases and also has a desk."

Imperial Hotel, Tokyo ★★★★★
"The iconic Imperial Hotel, a landmark in Japan for over 130 years, is also the birthplace of the Japanese buffet, introduced in 1958. Its location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Ginza and only 3 kilometers from Tokyo Station, with the Imperial Palace also within walking distance. The breakfast selection is extensive, offering options from the 17th-floor buffet to Japanese breakfast in the basement, French cuisine, and other gourmet choices. The service is truly top-notch. While the hotel shows its age, it is incredibly well-maintained. I revisited for afternoon tea after more than a decade, and it was just as wonderful and unchanged as I remembered."

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku ★★★
"I had a great stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku. The location is excellent — very close to Shinjuku, yet comfortably away from the crowded and noisy red-light district. It’s quiet at night, which made resting after a long day of sightseeing much more enjoyable. One of the biggest advantages is the metro station right next to the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to get around Tokyo. Traveling to major attractions and other parts of the city was fast and hassle-free. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and a peaceful environment. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo and looking for easy transportation access without the chaos of central Shinjuku."
