The hostel is well equipped with hair dryer and towels etc and the hygiene is satisfactory. Each big room contained around 30 beds (mixed gender) yet room occupants were largely quiet and I managed to sleep well. My photo uploaded showed my bed.

Self check in kiosk with space for large-sized luggage deposit at the check-in area (unmanned). Once you have the bed number and key number (ie door lock number), you must take a photo in case you keyed in the wrong email and it didn’t get to you. Lockers are available inside the dorm, and a small table and clothes rack if u need to hang your items. Hangers can be found lying around, and you are provided with one pair of disposable slippers to use. Very and walking distance to Shinjuku station. Lots of shower rooms and toilets too, just that it’s for all gender and no specification for bath or toilet or capsule bunk bed. A great choice for budget and fuss free travelers. The young lady mending the hostel counter (open only for specific hours) is also very helpful and can speak some English. She helped me with a note which basically says I need help to get to the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal. Once I’m on the way in the underpass, I got further help and direction towards the terminal (15-18 mins walk from hostel, pls buffer more time if you have luggage with you)

It's close enough to the train station that you can get there with a wheeled suitcase. It's a good basecamp to get around Tokyo. Also the pods are cheap enough to store luggage if you want to stay somewhere else for a night and come back the next day.

Self service place, stayed two nights and never once spoke to the receptionist, who didn’t seem to engage anyone either. I guess only when you have an issue then you go to him, but he’s not there all the time. Only saw him at night. Bunk was alright, although there were no windows and would be better if there was more luggage space. Bathroom was good and sufficiently spacious. However, my overall experience wasn’t great cos of the type of guests this place attracts. Maybe because it's well located in the Shinjuku area, but there were certain characters I've never seen at hostels in my 2 months travelling in Japan - disrespectful, self centred and inconsiderate people. People who were making a lot of noise packing late at night (close to midnight), seemingly oblivious to the fact that people were already sleeping. Worst were those who brought their lousy habits from home to Japan and acted like it was their home - men especially. Saw a few strutting around only in their underwear, and one of them seemed drunk, talking loudly at 1:30am in the dorm to another guest who was whispering back to him and trying to tell him to quieten down. Not the hostel's fault, but maybe the lack of staff presence makes people think they can behave as they please? The hostel should perhaps put up signs reminding people to be appropriately clothed, or to be quiet after 10pm. And also turn off the room lights by a certain time so people have a physical reminder that it's late and they should watch their noise level. In short, only good thing is the location, but after this experience I don't think I will go back again unless I have no other option.

Really good location with restaurants and convenience stores right outside the hotel. Only downside was it required self check in but their tablets are set to Japanese format so typing English would result in error.
