The hotel and hospitality were absolutely fabulous. All the staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfast was amazing! We get to choose different restaurants even for the breakfast! Location was perfect and it was so close to Ginza and the shopping district! Highly recommended!

Coffee and Pastries are not up to the standard in western restaurant. Breakfast buffet is not up to the standard of 5-star hotel.
The view with Tokyo Tower is very nice, but sky trails are very noisy during the service hours of trains.

We surprisingly found this to be a very convenient and charming hotel. It is a bit older, but because of that, it was quite spacious. The bed was large and comfy and there was a good variety of pillows to satisfy the different preferences. It was handy there was a limousine bus to the airport (Narita) right outside the front. Additionally we found out on day 2, there was a basement level that connected us directly to the train lines. Shinbashi station is very centrally located with a variety of subway and train lines, so it's very convenient to get around. The porters were very helpful on check out, and the newspaper service was a nice old school touch. Although older, everything worked. the elevators came promptly, the buttons, key card, air cond, heating, water, etc worked perfectly and were in even better working condition than some of the newer hotels we stayed at during our trip to Japan.
Family Mart, Lawson and 7-11 all nearby which is handy and Ichiran 200m away as well. Walkable distance to Ginza's main shopping ***** if you're up for it.
Additionally, windows with a view - train station and other buildings but it was an open view where you could see the sky. Some other hotels we'd been to, our view was basically the building windows next door.

Room is stuffy and a bit different from their photos +you are directly facing a building next to it so cannot leave the window open. They wouldn’t offer late checkout at all and try to charge $20 per hour when they are already over priced for its quality.

This hotel is in a very central location right next to Shinbashi Station and close to Ginza main street. Nevertheless, I gave this a 3/5 for location because of the constant noise from trains passing through Shinbashi Station. For its price the cleanliness and facilities are good. Service was downgraded one notch because the front desk overcharged me on the tourist tax charge. I was one person but they charged me for two people. The rest of the staff were very friendly and always had a smile for you.

We enjoyed our summer stay at Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo. We appreciate very much the attention and care given by the staff from the time we arrived, checked-in up to check-out. We were surprised that the staff brought the weighing scale to our room and helped us get the exact weight of our luggages, that was really good customer service. Also enjoyed the big room and the toiletries and other supplies provided to us during our stay.
Maybe just need to update the furniture but everything else is perfect. Also missed buying from the pastry/bakeshop since they open late at 10am and close early at 6pm. Maybe next time. Thanks for making our stay memorable and convenient.
