There are complete facilities for staying. There is a male-only bath, which is an onsen where you can see everyone taking off their clothes and bathing. The fourth floor is the center with a dining area, vending machines, a shower room, and a sofa for sitting and relaxing.

I miss the dripping coffee bags there, the great service, and the short walk to a few stations. Meanwhile, you can experience local people's food and atmosphere.

Average hotel in Japan about a 15 min walk to the main parts of Ueno. Wish the windows were not frosted because the room felt dark. The front of the hotel has a bunch of stairs, which made it difficult to access with heavy suitcases and there was no ramp and no staff offering to help. Also, despite signs of no smoking in front of the hotel, there were large number of smokers polluting the front and the hotel did not enforce their own regulations.

Good location near tourist attraction : sensoji temple, a lot of restaurants, supermarket and mini marts. Easy to find food anytime. 8 mins Walking distance to Tsukuba express line. Friendly hotel staffs and got free breakfast. They will clean the room every 3 days, but they will change towels and throw garbage every day. Overall We are satisfied staying there.

The normal check-in time is after 1500, but it's lucky that we can check-in earlier since our room is ready - we arrived there ~1230. We selected Panda room located on 4/F, so there is beautiful spot at 4/F lift lobby for taking photos.
The room is normal size as Tokyo's hotel room, we have space to open 2 luggage (24”) but after opened difficult to walk. However, we did not stay much time inside hotel room, and actually the bed is 1.62m good enough for 2 adults + 1kid, .it's fine for us.
We also booked the breakfast, and it's buffet style with Japanese and Western style food, so far so good.
After we checkout the next day, we kept our luggage at hotel and go for sightseeing and shopping nearby; and return pack to hotel for picking up the luggage and head to airport.

Pleasant stay throughout my trip.
Good accessibility with lift, no worries if you have big luggage(s). Access key is required for upper floors access so I feel safer to travel alone as well and I like that they have ladies-only floor.
There’s a lock for luggage storage area below the bed, I guess it actually fits at least a medium sized luggage bag.
Shower rooms and toilets are sufficient (I never had to wait during my stay). New towel, pyjamas, toothbrush are provided everyday (but they don’t make up your bed).
There’s also coin laundry in some of the floors, 8th floor included.
Near to station that connects with Narita airport. There are 3 CVS within 3 minutes walking distance. Sukiya that operates 23 hours a day and McDonald’s is literally 40 steps away from the hostel.
The only down part is that it’s not recommended for light sleeper. You may hear people snoring during midnight and check out is at 10am so people would make noise packing at night or in the morning.
Their concierge operates 24 hours and they also provide luggage storage service.
Would definitely come back again if the price stays within my budget.

This hotel is really great, especially for female travelers. At first, I had doubts since it was my first time staying in a capsule shared-room hotel, but I was wrong! All my roommates were really nice, and no one disturbed me. The best thing is that the toilet is inside the room.
The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. The hotel lounge is also great. I loved it! It has vending machines, a laundry area, a workspace, and a study area. The receptionist was also very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is only about 8-10 minutes away from Ueno Station. I even walked from the station to my hotel with my luggage, and I survived! I had two suitcases, but it was manageable, so there was no need to pay for a taxi since the station was nearby.
The neighborhood is also safe, and I felt comfortable walking alone at night. For the price, it's definitely worth it!

The service was so good, thank you!!!! The staff always tried to help even if sometimes they didn't had the answer. Maybe bring a phone to translate with them to make sure the communication flows.
Not far from the metro station (google maps is accurate), but for my next trip to tokyo i'd check something closer (10' to go and 10' to come back if you walk regular/low pace is already an extra 20mn to your day walk). But they were so kind tbh. It felt like high end in how they treat you, have anything you'd need (luggage scale, printing an itinerary...). There are lots of washing machines always available bc it charges 300Y for washing and 100Y to dry. Washing soap is available. The room is a little small for 2 and the bed, but you can sleep for 2 people easily in my opinion. When you arrive, AC is on and it is soo comfortable, not hot at all! It always worked so well. I put the humidificator below the bed to have more space. The fridge works well (check that it doesn't freeze). Looks easy to order food, they give you the complete adress. Comes with a little desk lamp, phone adapter/charger... They have sort of a partnership with the Indian restaurant next door for 900ish yen which is cheap. I don't particularly recommend it (love Indian food but the Cheese naan doesn't work well with japanese cheese in my opinion, and i think they microwave the food). There is a drinks machine in the hotel (140yen for water) that works with credit cards, otherwise you can go out and get 100yen bottle at the corner (coins only).
Overall, the description is accurate, staff is friendly, if you're ok to walk to the metro station and a small room to save money go!!

We were near Tokyo 🗼 so we decided to go to Asakusa and got a hotel nearby using trip.com. Aside from the fact that it is pretty close to the Sensoji Temple, you can also see the Tokyo Sky Tree. The Skytree is one station away from Asakusa so you can go there. The hotel was pretty and when you went inside, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Since we have a reservation, we just filled up some information and they already gave the key. Very easy! The room was so pretty and I really love the amenities. The only problem that I see is that they don't have a microwave but they do have a refrigerator and electric kettle. We didn't try ordering food so it was pretty sad. The food was pretty good in the pictures too. Hopefully I can try it next time because we will definitely come back!

Typical budget business hotel. Yes it’s a bit dated but got all you need at a fair price. Note that the main entry of the hotel closes between 1-4am. It didn’t affect me at all. Staff were nice and helpful.

Amazing
EElisabhetaeWe were happy with everything! The perfect location for exploring Tokyo: 4 minutes from the metro, two metro lines nearby, which are very convenient. Norme is new and clean, we had room 201. The description says that it is a one-room number, but in fact it was 3 rooms! Norme is spacious and large! Everything is clean, a comfortable bathroom, in the toilet you can open the window and look out onto the street, we also liked that. The room is in a modern Japanese style, there is a tatami with a Japanese table for meals, we always had dinner on the tatami. The photos completely match the description! The perfect place!

Great
WwaikuanWe're very enjoyable with the stayed here 5 nights. There are direct train from Narita airport to Kuramae station or Asakusa station which within 10mins walk to hotel. The room is consider spacious that can opened fully the large size suitcase. Just the bathroom a bit small but not a problem. There is public bath at level 2, that's a bonus. Many convenient stores & F&B nearby. Walking distance to Asakusa temple. Important, the staffs so friendly and helpful. They speak well English and no communication problems.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Hotel Paul House and found it to be excellent value for money. The location is convenient, making transportation easy, and the accommodation itself is very comfortable.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service from the manager and staff, who were always helpful and accommodating. The hotel also provides useful amenities such as a washing machine, as well as plates, spoons, and other utensils. This makes it convenient for guests to bring food from outside, enjoy it in the lobby, and clean up afterward.
Overall, I was highly impressed with my experience at Hotel Paul House. If I have the opportunity to visit Japan again, I will definitely choose to stay here.

Great
GGuest UserGreat, always stay here when visiting Tokyo. Close to a 7/11 as soon as you exit the building, a Lawson down another block, and a Family Mart 4-5 minutes walking towards Akihabara station.
Akihabara station is a great entry point to get around Tokyo, around a 10 minute walk to get there, and Ueno Park is also about a 10 minute walk.
Only complaint is that the bed is a bit stiff and you only get ONE pillow per bed, which is also a bit too firm for my liking.

WWee HanIt was in a good location. booked it purely for the view and it's vicinity to the Skyliner Station.
Definitely worth the money, in terms of room space, it's well beyond my expectations.

GGuest UserThe room is quite big, and the sofa bed can accommodate four people. It is suitable for a family of three to travel here, because many hotels in Japan have a limit on the number of people, and three people have to book two rooms. It is more suitable to book this apartment. It is not far from the subway station Kuramae Station and Asakusa Station. It is right by the Sumida River. It is very convenient to see the night view of the Sky Tree and go to Sensoji Temple. There are not many restaurants around, but the subway can reach many business districts, which is not a big flaw. The noise is not loud, and it is quiet to stay!

WWeezI ain't sure why a lot of people left a very bad comment regarding this property, the room size is quite big compared with JP standard (we got room at 6 floor with 2 beds (5ft size) for 2 person) the location is good (a walking distance to Kuramae station 200-350m (for Toei Asakura & Oedo line), surrounded with good restaurants such as Ramen, Tonkatsu (authentic one open since 1977), origin Japan (ready to eat JP meals & side dishes), etc. including a good Patisserie shops, a convenience stores (Lawson, Family mart, 7-11, local supermarket). Yes they have a rule regarding towels (1/ea/2 nights) & cleaning services (not on daily basis but if you want you can ask them to do), the guy at the receptionist may not always smile but if you asked something he's always respond & support, they have a common area (2nd floor) which there is kitchen, kitchen utensils, microwave, coffee machine, dining table, couches and air conditioning (and they are allowed us to use with free of charge) personally my friend & I would booked this hotel if we visit Tokyo next time.
