Hotel Fukudaya
4.4/564 Reviews
I had to write an exam in Tokyo at Temple University (Japan campus). I specifically looked for a hotel that was conveniently located for me to take the exam early in the morning. I picked Hotel Fukudaya for the convenience but was wow'd overall. The people working at the reception were all very friendly. I speak Japanese so check-in was pretty smooth but I saw a lot of other foreigners and they could generally communicate in English with them. My room was quite small with tatami floor. I had a large window and my own private access to a toilet. Didn't have a shower in my room, but had access to a bath (you lock it so you have sole access for that period of time). It was pretty cold in Tokyo at that time but the air conditioner heated the (small) room just fine. There are no elevators but they will help you with your luggage if you are staying on the upper floor. They held onto my luggage after I checked out and I came back for it later. I only had them hold onto it for a few hours, but I believe they can hold onto it for even a few days. Can't imagine having to stay here again since it's not the most convenient for tourists and I won't be needing to take the exam again. You have to walk quite a distance from the nearest JR station (uphill too). But it was a very comfortable stay.
Dormy Inn Premium Shibuya Jingumae Hot Spring

Shibuya
Booked this for the convenience and that it was available last minute but would say it’s a bit pricey for what you get. Room is very small but we made it work with 2 big luggages. Washroom was spacious though 😂 The best part about the hotel was the onsen/ public bath which was super comfortable and relaxing (hot bath, cold plunge, sauna, showering stations) and you get free popisicles and yakult depending on what time you go. Free ramen on the first floor from 9:30-11pm too. Service was okay. Location was prime and walkable but a bit of a walk to any station. They do have scooter and e-bike rentals out front with the LUUP app. You can hear the train nearby but didn’t really bother us overnight.
Urbain Tokyo Haneda Kamata

Haneda Airport/Kamata
I used to stay at the lodging, but it was far from the west exit, but I stayed after a long time. It is beautiful and cheap, but you can see color 々 and cost reduction measures. It's okay, but the previous day's arvest is too good and becomes a relatively low evaluation. 〈 Personal evaluation item 〉 ○ Location - 6,7 minutes walk near Kamata Station West Exit ◎ Price - Cheap @5,600 ○ Facilities - Beautiful △ Room size - slightly narrow (single) ◎ Wi-Fi all rooms ◯ Amenities shampoo, rinse, Body soap ◎ Air cleaner - permanent - pants presser unconfirmed x no closet ◎ Deodorant spray permanent ◎ pillow outlet ◯ refrigerator ◯ pot ◯ dry Ya-Permanent ◯ After checking out luggage storage - Maybe OK ◯ Front desk correspondence - No problem - Other - toothbrush and brush are distributed at the front desk
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tokyo Osaki
4.3/5115 Reviews
Shinagawa
This hotel is 5 minutes walk from Yamanote Line Osaki station, which is one station away from Shinagawa, thus making it very convenient from a transportation POV. It's ta the edge of a residential area hence it's very very quiet. It's 2nd floor is connected to couple of large office buildings that have quite a few nice restaurants. There is a small family mart at about 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. There is no shopping and entertainment near by. The hotel's interior is somewhat simple and in old fashion. You will get a nice rest there. In short, it's a money for value type of hotel.
Hotel Wing International Select Ikebukuro

Ikebukuro Commercial
Stayed a few days after opening a year ago. 2019/10/4 It was a new hotel that was newly opened and was fresh without staying at a hotel that had not been opened so far at that time. It is a little walk from mukaihara station of Ikebukuro station and Arakawa line, but it is convenient because you can walk from the hotel to sunshine city. This 14-story hotel has a coin laundry (3 washing machines below and 3 dryers above) and a beverage vending machine, but there is no large communal bath. Light meals (bread and drinks) are sold at the cafe on the first floor in the morning. The elevator is arranged face-to-face in two interlocking units, made by a new and beautiful Mitsubishi. When boarding from the 1st floor, hold the card key and press the ↑ button while blinking. The interior of the guest room was simple and beautiful because it was just opened. Wi-Fi has a common ID and individual items for each guest room. Both are displayed on the TV screen, but individual objects are displayed on the screen of the mirroring explanation and are difficult to understand. (I tried mirroring, but I couldn't do it after all) Because there is an existing hotel ”Hotel Wing International Ikebukuro” (1989/11 Completion →2000/8 Opening) in the neighborhood that does not have ”select”, I don't think there are many, but be careful of the mistakes. If you walk straight from Mukaihara Station on the Arakawa Line, you will see the hotel first. It is only a little far away, but it is within walking distance from Higashi Ikebukuro 4-chome station of the same Arakawa line and Higashi Ikebukuro station of Yurakucho line.

Asakusa
The hotel is clean, looks new and nice design too. Rooftop is the bonus as can see Tokyo Skytree and Sensoji Temple clearly. Nice view. However, the location bit far from Asasuka station by walking. But if you walk through Nakamise street, you will find it interesting as lots things to shop and eat😉 A helpful staff during our check in as she went extra miles to assist us to call the parking lot management and enquired their charge rate. Sorry I’ve forgotten to ask her name. どうもありがとうございます!Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu!
