Ashleigh House

We were in this charming place for 2 nights. Beautiful traditional English house. I have visited many places, but such a wonderful impression on me has never been made as here. The owners are wonderful, they try with breakfast, so that everything tastes and looks wonderful. We have not eaten such a delicious English breakfast, and believe me, we are picky. The room was clean, well-kept, tidy with mega comfortable beds. In the room there is bottled water, tea, coffee, milk whatever you want. The bathroom is in super condition. I can't believe how thanks to this place and people we spent this wonderful magical time. We were with a dog and it was no problem at all. The price with breakfasts is very good and the location is satisfactory because to the center it was enough to go down the road about 5 minutes. We lack words on how to rate this place, but we trusted our intuition and as always we checked the reviews before choosing and it was a bullseye, that is why we also give an opinion adequate to the state of affairs for future guests, who will certainly agree with me. Simply refined taste, a delight for the eye, close, tropical and a place full of good, nice people. I recommend it 10. P.S. I usually write pros and cons but this time I have a very hard time finding anything negative .... hmmm well maybe the weather when we arrived was a bit rainy, but what can I say even with such possibilities that these wonderful people have, the weather managed to be enchanted the next day and it was beautiful.

Just had a fantastic stay at Ashleigh House which is a lovely place and full of character. Steve & Jan were perfect hosts and were very attentive to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room had a comfortable bed and was very clean and tidy. The room included a TV, fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We also had water, tea/coffee facilities in the room and we were given a tick box form in a container that we had to leave outside our door if we required further supplies. There were plenty of options available for breakfast but the full English was excellent and all cooked fresh. Parking permits were provided as parking was for the residents only. Would highly recommend this place to stay - you certainly won't be disappointed.

Our holiday in Torquay was fabulous. The main reason was the hospitality shown to us by the owners of Ashleigh House. Jan and Steve went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were second to none. We felt pampered and well looked after. The room was brilliant, we had everything we needed. Everything was spotlessly clean. We could not fault anything. We would be very happy to recommend Ashley House to anyone.

We had the most wonderful stay at Ashleigh house. Only a little 1 night booking for myself and my husband whilst we were in the area watching a show. Greeted by the lovely Jan and Steve who took a real, genuine interest in us. The house is warm and welcoming, and smells divine! There's a guest lounge to unwind in if you wish. We were shown to our room which was on the top floor, beautiful views out over the bay. It was an incredibly warm day so we were grateful to find a fan in our room. Our room was spotlessly clean, bedding was pristine. Lovely selection of hot and cold drinks in the room (including bottled water and squash). The welcome book was very informative, gutted we didn't stay an extra night. We really fancied an evening at the pub down the road. Breakfast was lovely, cooked fresh and very nice. I was super impressed that despite us being the only guests that night there was no shortcuts. There was still fresh fruit salad, still a pot of coffee on the go. For just 2 people I would of assumed they'd cut back on the service, I'm pleased they didn't. Will we go back? 100% yes. Already planning it. Thank you for such a lovely trip. See you soon x

A beautiful guest house in a great location 5 minutes up the hill from the town of Torquay. We were welcomed by the lovely Steve and shown to our room. Very clean, tea/coffee making facilities, cute little ensuite with a great shower. Breakfast was amazing, all needs catered for- cooked breakfast, fruit, yoghurt, toast, cereal... Steve gave some tips on nice local places and was happy for us to come and go as we pleased (we had our own set of door keys). We will definitely stay again if we are travelling to South Devon in the future!

A lovely house conveniently situated in Torquay. It is comfortable ,spotless and full full of character .The lovely hosts, Jan and Steve couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast choice and quality is amazing .The full English ,freshly prepared superb. The experience was more like a stay in a welcoming home rather than a Guest House / Hotel experience . Free Parking ,just ask for a permit on arrival.You won’t be disappointed.
