Really run down with dirty, mouldy rooms. Walked into our room to the balcony door banging open and shut in the wind. When we went to close it, we realised the door was warped and missing bits of wood. We wedged it shut, but the wind howled through the cracks in the door and the rickety, broken windows. There is a bad sewerage smell in the bathroom which permeates the whole room. Everything is dusty and grimy, with a rim of mould and staining on every surface and splatters on the walls. We stayed in a twin room and one of the bedsheets had an old stain which looked like dried blood.

Don't choose this hotel! We have stayed here twice in our tour of Laos. Both rooms have been very much below acceptable standard. The rooms are dirty, which as the walls are scrubbable paint, is inexcusable. The bathroom in first room had a leaking toilet. The bathroom in the second room, smells, is dirty and has no shower screen. The shower drain is broken and could cause injury if stood on. The taps are very dirty and haven't been cleaned in a long time. The decorative state is very poor. It seems that no investment has been made for some years. The public area toilets are really bad.

This hotel must have been decent 20 years ago. It hasn't been maintained since. This hotel isn't clean, and the bathroom is in a deplorable state. The location makes it very noisy. The staff isn't welcoming. Our experience with the Vansana chain in Laos will remain extremely disappointing.
