Arrived at the Lobby around 3pm on Christmas Eve and waited 40 mins to check in. Only 2 check in counters were open. Bad service, shame!!!

After reading all the positive reviews, I booked this hotel, but my experience was extremely disappointing compared to what others had mentioned. The hotel condition was somewhat acceptable, but the lift had issues—it only started about 30 seconds after pressing the button. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with no utensils or coffee supplies, making it both inconvenient and frustrating. The breakfast was subpar, barely worth calling a meal. The staff were short-handed and far from considerate or helpful. It felt like any request was a burden to them. There was a stove in the room, but no instructions on how to use it. The stove was locked so that guests couldn’t use it until they received training from the front desk. According to the manager, guests needed to go down for an orientation. They advertised breakfast was included, but what was provided was disappointing—stale eggs, muffins, and packet oats. There wasn’t even enough coffee available, and I had to wait for a new batch to be made. When I raised these concerns, the manager simply said that this is how all their hotel chains operate now and that they couldn’t be different. If this approach continues, it’s only a matter of time before someone else buys the place, and the current owner goes out of business. It seems the owner is focused on cutting corners to make a profit, without considering guest satisfaction. Overall, I strongly advise against staying here. This hotel fails to meet even the most basic expectations. I will never use this hotel again.

Clean room and a very clean bathroom. Plenty of parking (and it's free). They also had free breakfast with many options to choose from. Their location made navigating easy coming from California. The staff was more than helpful. Didn't get a chance to use their pool or gym, but the stay was still worth the price!

We stayed in July 2022 and since we had stayed there before and had issues at check out with the front desk saying we owed more money and having already paid in full decided to pay cash and only put the fifty dollar deposit on the credit card. We checkout and are told the deposit has been released back to my credit card and a week later I'm still waiting for it. I checked with the hotel and was told check with ny bank which I did. Still no refund with the hotel insisting it was refunded and me saying no it wasn't. After getting no where with hotel management I wrote off to the owner of Peppermill resorts of which western village ****** hotel is part of and two weeks later I've heard nothing from Mr. Bill Paganetti Sr the owner. Every time we have stayed there there's an issue with payment upon check out with the front desk either saying we owe more and then running my credit card three times to get extra money they're not entitled to or saying we can't check out we owe more money when I've paid in full and have receipts to prove it. Western village ****** hotel front desk has serious issues with their front desk staff and reservation system and because I dared to complain about the deposit we were told we're not welcome back. This is how a three star hotel treats individuals who dare to complain about room charges and deposits. I realize it's just fifty dollars but it's the principle of the fact that a hotel can scam people out of Money and get away with it.As the saying goes buyer beware in this case guest beware because you might find your credit card charged extra or worse be told you owe more money so you can't check out. Even if we were welcome back we still wouldn't stay there because of the money issues that always come up at checkout with staff . The housekeeping staff is far friendlier than the hotel front desk staff and that says alot. We've stayed at four and five star hotels and never had these issues so obviously it's an issue with Western village ****** hotel so again guest beware if you choose to stay there

This is 3rd time staying here I believe. I have a Marriott discount because my son is employee, so I’ve stayed at almost all the Marriotts here in Reno/Sparks/Tahoe. Very often. So when I say this property is my favorite hotel in the area, that’s saying something. It’s fantastic here! I work down street a few miles and we’re expecting bad snow, so I’m here next 4 nights. I have 1-BR with full kitchen. Drove 2 minutes over to Target and loaded up groceries. Made myself a steak and mashed potatoes tonight, they had all cookware plates utensils etc. How cool is that at a hotel? My room is new and clean, sofa rocks with big front section. Legends Bay ****** is right across the street, and while I’m not big gambler, I do plan on grabbing a meal or 2 there. Even with heavy snow should be ok. There’s also all kinds of shopping there, I plan on checking out Sat. I did my laundry tonight. Checked out pool and hot tub, nice and well taken care of. Alex checked me in tonight and was a nice young person and great first impression. Chey helped me out last time I was here, also was great. Thank you RI Sparks! You guys have a wonderful hotel and your people are awesome. I highly recommend friends!!

Just beside the small river, cross the bridge and walk more than 200 meters along the river to the car museum to see the various cars carefully collected by the casino owner. A dedicated parking garage is available for free parking. The stopover from Yellowstone Park to Yosemite is not bad. Reno is the second largest city in Nevada and has many casinos.
