Xi'an Beilin District Hotels

We had a wonderful time at the Old Locust Homestay. You can tell the owner really cares about his guests. During our stay there was some work being done in the road out front and the owner made sure to help us with our bags coming in and when we left and also offered a complementary room upgrade along with complementary imported coffee and gave us some local treats as a condolence for the issue. He always went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is newly renovated, very stylist and has great views from the third and fourth floors. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Xi’an again.

The location is excellent: within walking distance of the metro station and the ancient wall, the Bell Tower can be reached on foot too if you don’t mind a little stretch. The owner is super responsive via text. Price is honestly too cheap for this location. Room is clean, spacious and comfy. Multiple convenience stores just off the elevator on ground level. The only downside is that the apartment is a little hard to find. We called the owner and he came down to take us to the room. I would recommend arriving during daytime hours for this reason. Owner is super helpful. Will definitely stay again next time I visit Xi’an.

I am so mixed about this hotel. The Central hotel at the bell tower. Location - awesome. Quick metro ride from the train station. Hotel door is literally 5 feet from subway exit. Hotel is directly across from the bell tower. Staff - amazing. They will literally bend over backwards to accommodate you. They arranged the shuttle to the terracota warriors and back from the huaqing palace where the show was. In constant contact via we chat. Pretty impressive for $12 cad dollars return. Breakfast - this is the first hotel we paid for breakfast with becuase it was affordable. Finding a western style Breakfast in china seems to be challenging. The Breakfast is basic but you can get coffee, some fruit, toast, fried or hard boiled eggs and lots of chinese options, rice, noodles, sea food, black rice congi. Rooms - nice, a bit small, super clean and renovated but in a more classic stlye. The negative is the first room we had, either had mold or something but it made my wife and i very ill. They were very accommodating and moved us, the second room the ac wasnt working and room got up to 28c , the third room, third night is awesome. The first two rooms were in the south end of the hotel and both had a smell, maybe an older section. The third room is in the north end and has no smell and although it looks identical, feels much better. Price - we are paying about $55/cad a night with breakfast included. If i were to book here again, i would request the north end of hotel and if i noticed any sort of smell, i would immediately ask for a different room. The primary reason to book again would be #1 the staff and #2 the location.

It was a very reasonably priced hotel! Just note that there are a few set of ramps where you need to slide your luggage upon entering the building but they also have someone who can assist you when you ring the bell at the entrance. The room was very comfortable and they also have sets of washer and dryer. We just took didi to go around, it was close to the main tourist attractions.

When traveling with my parents, my biggest concerns are always transportation and accommodation. Although the hotel's vicinity was crowded and noisy at night, my parents surprisingly loved the lively buzz of everyday life, even commenting that such a vibrant atmosphere is essential for young people to thrive. Adding to the positive experience, my dad was so charmed by the cafe's ambiance that he spontaneously asked to take photos. During check-out, a polite young man named Zhou helped us with our luggage, and the cleaning staff went out of their way to assist us. These small, thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly warm and filled the final leg of our trip with a deep sense of gratitude. My parents said they'd love to visit Xi'an again in the future, and I truly hope we'll get to come back soon!

This hotel is in a small street less than 50metre distance between main street and the hotel. It is located between the south of bell tower and South gate of Xi'an City Wall. This make it easy for us to travel to all around Xi'an by subway, Didi, Taxi, bus. Room is clean and tidy. However, hall way is a bit dusty but after telling the front desk they clean it. Breakfast is good . Congee with Chinese condiment, fried rice, fried noodle, fried sausage, fried vegetable, Fruit, egg, Noodle bar are the composition of their offered breakfast. I have seen that they offer Roujiemou (Chinese beef sandwich) in their breakfast but I did not taste it. Free bottles of water and plum juice are available on the ground floor near front desk. At least Two usable USB-A, two USB-C plugs together with two type A and two type I of Chinese AC plug are on the wall near beds. A light switch in our room is faulty but after telling the front desk they fix it right away. All TV Channel are in Chinese language. All in all I think that this hotel is a good value hotel for a tourist.

Great hotel for foreigners. The room was clean and modern. The staff was wonderful with helping me recover a lost selfie stick that was sent via SFExpress. I appreciated that tremendously. The metro is a short walk away. There are many good food options nearby. I’d recommend this hotel for any solo foreign travelers.

best hotel i have ever stayed in! excellent service from the moment we landed in xi'an. free pickup from airport, staffs helped with our luggages the moment we reached, served us warm tea and introduced the hotel facilities. breakfast spread was good too. location is just opposite one of the city wall gate. staffs are friendly and helped us with booking that required china number. they also provide free umbrella and shoe covers since it was raining daily when we were there. room was extremely spacious even after opening 3 large luggages. had a great stay with my family. thank you for the free upgrade too!

We had a great time while in Xi’an! The staff was very friendly, the hotel room was clean and reflected the photos well. The location is breathtaking with a view on the ancient city wall! We recommend using the address in the navigation app as the hotel name in certain apps would pop at a different address, yet overall finding the place was not difficult. The activities that are included in the stay were enjoyable and the stamp rubbing was really fun! Thank you to the staff and we look forward to staying here again when in Xi’an!

We stayed in a three beds family room for four days. The location is very good, walking distance to Gulou, Zhonglou, huimin street. The breakfast is very good, has an onsite noodle or wanton cooking station, it features different Xian flavors every day, the liangpi is good, the Zhengao is good too. The hotel also has afternoon tea, it has different Chinese or western pastries, we enjoyed it the first day we came. In the evening, it provided sweet soup, I enjoyed very much. The room is always clean, the shower is strong and the hair blower is powerful. The towels and linens are all of super quality. The hotel also offered to lead umbrella, it was raining every day we stayed there. We had enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again next time we come to Xian.
