Hotels in Dayan Pagoda/The Grand Tang Mall, Xi'an

My overall experience at this five-star hotel was absolutely wonderful. I especially loved the marshmallow-soft bed – once you lie down, you won't want to move! It provided excellent relaxation for my tired body after a full day of exploring the Terracotta Warriors. I always enjoy staying in hotels with unique and stylish designs, and I took many photos here because every corner was exquisitely beautiful. The hotel boasts an excellent central location, right next to the bustling and vibrant Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City. Despite its prime spot, it was incredibly quiet in the room – I couldn't hear any noise from outside the window while sleeping. Occasionally, I'd hear conversations from people passing by in the hallway, but it wasn't disruptive. The suite was spacious, and the in-room amenities were comprehensive, including an iron and ironing board. The only minor suggestion would be to upgrade the quality of the combs provided, which would make it even more perfect. Breakfast was served until 10:30 AM, which I found very thoughtful as it allowed for a leisurely 'beauty sleep' before heading down to enjoy a late breakfast. The restaurant staff were welcoming and helpful, and there was a wide array of delicious dishes. Despite my 'eyes being bigger than my stomach,' I managed to pick my favorites and arrange a delightful plate. As I arrived late, the staff had already begun clearing up and cleaning as breakfast service concluded. I enjoy taking photos, and after finishing my meal, I wanted to capture some shots of the restaurant's ambiance. I noticed the staff, having finished cleaning, were diligently preparing and arranging the dishes for lunch. During the time I spent taking photos, I inadvertently observed the professionalism and high standards of the restaurant staff. In the bread and western food section, a young chef was meticulously setting up the bread display. His full protective gear – hat, mask, and gloves – was impeccable, which immediately reassured me about the hygiene standards. He politely moved aside when he saw me taking photos. Later, as he placed a chef figurine and prepared to leave, I gestured for him to be in a picture. He very cooperatively posed. The photo showed him using his gloved right hand to arrange the bread, while his ungloved left hand was behind his back (he had been wearing gloves on both hands earlier and likely removed one after finishing the display). This small detail underscored his meticulousness and commitment to hygiene. After taking the photo, I thanked him, and he politely replied, 'You're welcome.' I also want to mention another detail I observed: while he was arranging the display, an older, presumably senior chef came over and made some minor adjustments to the arrangement. This chef moved all the food items slightly forward and meticulously explained to the young chef that placing them closer to the front would make it more convenient for guests to access them. All these small details I witnessed truly showcased the professional quality of the staff. Thumbs up!👍 If any hotel staff read this review, please extend my high praise to both chefs in the restaurant. I hope it encourages them to love what they do even more, knowing that their efforts are seen, appreciated, and applauded. Finally, I had misremembered the check-out time. I was leisurely packing my bags, thinking check-out was at 2 PM. Around 1 PM, the hotel front desk proactively messaged me on WeChat, asking if I needed assistance with a late check-out. Upon learning I was leaving, they also asked if I required a concierge colleague to help with my luggage. The high-quality, polite, friendly, and enthusiastic service from all staff members made me feel truly valued and provided a VIP experience. Additionally, the hotel features its own museum with beautiful exhibits. It's a wonderful place to quietly admire the items and discover the beauty in each one – you're sure to find something you absolutely love. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel ✔️ and look forward to staying here again! Goodbye Xi'an, I will definitely be back.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and reasonably priced. The location is very convenient for traveling, close to convenience stores and restaurants. You can walk around and explore. The staff can speak English. The rooms and cafe are beautifully decorated. There are a few minor shortcomings.The room isn't soundproof. If people in the next room are talking or walking up and down the stairs, you can hear them quite clearly. However, if I have the chance, I would like to come back and stay here again.

The W Hotel Xi'an truly goes above and beyond. Traveling with two kids, we were given a complimentary room upgrade, and breakfast for both children was included. The beds were noticeably more spacious than typical hotel beds, which was a huge plus. Even with two children (both around 10 years old), we could all sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. We particularly loved being able to enjoy authentic Xi'an specialties right at the hotel, including Roujiamo, Youpo Lazimian, Beef Paomo, Lamb Soup, and Hulatang. During our stay, it happened to be someone's birthday, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared a surprise birthday cake. This unexpected treat truly made our day! We'll definitely be choosing the W Hotel again on our next visit to Xi'an.

I hardly write a review for hotel , but this hotel really excellent in service , staff Cathy really helpful, she can take my request anytime of the day, really appreciated her effort. Beautiful night view of the hotel , so convenient just outside there are lots of food, shopping, scenery place, all walking distance. They have night shows with schedule provided by Cathy. Is definitely a place to stay if you are going xi an. They have weather forecast update just at the lift before you are out of the hotel. Many photo taking place for you to take photo if you love photo taking☺️ . Will return to the hotel again if I’m going back to Xi’an for vacation

The hotel is conveniently located on the west side of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, right next to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Metro Station, making it easily accessible. It's also very close to Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square and the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City. In the evenings, we enjoyed strolling through the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City and Tang Paradise, and even caught the light show at the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda – all thanks to its fantastic location. The street the hotel is on is practically a 'Hanfu street,' lined with shops where you can rent traditional Hanfu attire and take photos, which I absolutely loved. All rooms have windows, and are fully equipped with air conditioning and hot water, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Before we checked out, the hotel even gave us a complimentary specialty fridge magnet, which my child adored. Overall, a fantastic Xi'an travel experience. Highly recommended!

This hotel is conveniently located near the Grand Tang Mall and Tang Paradise, with rooms offering direct views of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. It's also very close to the Xi'an Film Studio, surrounded by plenty of dining options, making everything incredibly convenient. The hotel's ambiance is lovely, and a pleasant fragrance greets you right as you step into the lobby. Rooms are clean and spacious. Surprisingly, our street-facing room on the 9th floor was almost completely silent, with virtually no street noise audible. The staff are courteous and warm, showing great attention to detail. They provide numerous complimentary services, including in-room beverages. Upon check-out, we were delightfully surprised to receive a souvenir gift – an exquisite shadow puppet paper-cut. The bedding was very comfortable, and they thoughtfully provided two types of pillows to suit different preferences. The soundproofing was also excellent. We stayed for five consecutive nights, and both adults and children had an exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable stay. Considering its price, the hotel offers outstanding value for money. It will certainly be our first choice for any future visits to Xi'an.

The location is super convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Dashita Metro Station, which is a nice stroll, especially in winter. There are also a few shops nearby where you can grab a quick dinner. However, if you’re a light sleeper who gets easily disturbed by car honks, this hotel might not be the best choice for you. As for the price, it’s quite affordable in my opinion. You can also leave your luggage at the hotel if you plan to explore the city before heading to the airport. The staff are very friendly, despite the language barrier. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here! One thing to note—the bathroom is made of glass, so it might feel a bit awkward if you’re staying with friends (haha). You know what i mean here. I also had a breakfast coupon but never got around to using it because I was too lazy to go downstairs. Sorry, I don’t have any photos to share!

The room initially assigned by the staff has a sophisticated sofa and excellent interior, but has no view. Blocked by the building in front of me, it's very frustrating. She showed me a high-rise room that I prepared to meet my customer request message. I liked the view of the garden in the distance. Sitting on the couch by the window feels like I'm on the terrace. The bathroom has a timer on and the lights go out automatically after a certain period of time. The television frequently disconnects from the cctv broadcast. It was great to have a body lotion dispenser. The breakfast menu for the two days is almost the same. I love the colorful dining room. The washing machine is also tuned to be cute. You can drink lattes and cappuccinos 24 hours a day in the lobby. There are pretty artificial flowers in the vase all over the lobby.

Overall, the hotel is fantastic, with a pretty good location. It's exceptionally well-suited for families traveling with children; everything from the service to the hardware and software amenities ensures a very comfortable stay. Initially, I only booked for one night. After I offered some minor suggestions for improvement during a follow-up call, the duty manager promptly came to our room to personally ask for detailed feedback and even offered us complimentary breakfast. Their service attitude was truly outstanding. Impressed by our experience, we extended our stay for another four nights, and we even received a room upgrade based on availability. The overall service was exceptional. Traveling with a small baby, we asked housekeeping for extra water, and they provided it without any hesitation. I was especially touched by the housekeeping staff that day; they even left a personalized note and mosquito repellent patches for us – it was such a warm and thoughtful gesture. The lobby staff were also incredibly helpful, always assisting us with our luggage whenever we were getting in or out of a car, especially with a baby in tow. What's more, at check-out, they even extended our check-out time to allow our baby to nap, which was incredibly thoughtful. This truly made me feel that the hotel operates with a generous and customer-centric approach, rather than being petty or stingy. When traveling with a baby, safety and cleanliness are always our top priority, and exceptional, thoughtful service is an unbeatable bonus. This hotel, overall, is far superior to the Meliá hotels I've experienced in other cities (which was why I initially only booked one night, as previous Meliá stays had been disappointing; I'm actually not sure if Gran Meliá and Meliá belong to the same group). It earns massive bonus points from us! Next time I visit Xi'an, I will absolutely choose this hotel again. Highly, highly recommended for families with babies!!!

Overall it's good, with complete hardware facilities, about 500 meters away from Line 4, upgraded master bedroom without windows, 1518, children's room to play, can take a bath, plenty of drinking water, half a roujiamo for breakfast is enough to make you full, not enough cups, when cups were available, milk and soy milk were gone, yogurt was in short supply, coffee coupons were given, which can be packaged, and Hanfu coupons, but the car service was not used due to traffic control, there is a seafood dinner on the second floor, which can be stored, overall, it is worthy of the word ”international”, much better than the so-called international hotel in Hanzhong Rongjia where I stayed later.
