Shangu Guesthouse

I deliberately took my time and booked Shangu. The experience was really good. My friends and I really loved this immersive B&B. The lady was super nice. I put my luggage first and then parked the car. The location is just opposite Labrang Monastery, and it was very shocking when I went out for a walk at night. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, very home-cooked, great, I think it’s worth it

The B&B is relatively close to Labrang Monastery. The B&B staff are warm and responsive to every request (I need a nail clipper). The B&B also provides a free dinner with two meals to choose from. The B&B does not have its own parking lot, so you need to park at the Labrang Monastery parking lot, which is about 200-300 meters away from the B&B. The breakfast is Tibetan-style, which I am not used to. There is no TV in the room and a lack of entertainment facilities. The location of the B&B is not easy to find. If you drive there, you need to contact the B&B waiter in advance. Although there were some minor problems in the middle, they were resolved in time.

The decoration of the B&B is quite artistic. There are many places to drink tea and take pictures. The service is very good. Every staff member is very enthusiastic and considerate. The breakfast is ******* style. However, the experience of checking in was not good. The room was a glass room built on the second floor. It looked like a sauna and you couldn't stay in it during the day. The electric water heater leaked and my son was electrocuted while taking a shower! The free dinner was provided, and I chose hot pot. The taste... overall I felt that the price was on the high side.

The girl at the inn is very warm and beautiful. The courtyard is quite unique. It was designed by the brother who is a monk and has a very local style. We live opposite Labrang Monastery. We can reach the temple just across the bridge. When we leave the courtyard, we can see the prayer wheel. The yak hotpot for dinner is also good. The inn was very quiet at night and had a good rest. Get up early. Labrang Monastery is quiet and mysterious in the early morning, and you can also taste local specialties for breakfast. A successful experience!

Very amazing homestay, the best in Gannan! First of all, the location is right at the entrance of Lapuleng Monastery. There is a hill at the entrance where you can take a panoramic view. It is less than five minutes' walk from the commercial street. For food, there is a welcome tea upon arrival. Sit in the public area on the second floor to have a cup of tea and some snacks. It is so comfortable. I chose yak hot pot for dinner and ******* breakfast, both of which were very good. Service, the owner's sister is kind and beautiful, to be precise, the family and the cats are all very beautiful, thank you for your care
