I needed a separate office area for video conferencing, so I decided to find a hotel with a more suitable location and more generous rooms. I found that this hotel has good reviews, and there are also suites with sea views, and the most important thing is that the price is also very satisfactory. I stayed for two days and was very satisfied. It can be said that the price-performance ratio is full. The location of the hotel is very successful. The room type I chose has a sea view and faces the Little Kinmen Island. The check-in process was very fast. The staff assisted with luggage and introduced the room facilities and learned about the check-in requirements by the way. The service was very thoughtful. The room was a suite, which was large enough. The long room type can clearly separate the layout of each room, which is generally reasonable. In particular, the balcony outside is large enough to make a separate outdoor room. The only drawback is that it is too spacious. It feels that such a large area is not used. It’s a pity. The breakfast is quite rich, and there are many local specialties in southern Fujian to taste. All kinds of food are also delicious. The meals are mainly Chinese, and there are no Western tableware on the table; there is no one to guide you into the restaurant, you swipe your card and find a seat at random, and you make your own coffee. There are very few service staff, so this may not fully meet the standards of a five-star hotel, but considering that the room rate is very friendly, this small shortcoming does not matter. Overall, I am very satisfied with this stay. Especially after just coming from Qishang Hotel, I didn't expect that a hotel that is almost three times cheaper can provide the same level of service, more comfortable rooms, and a more abundant breakfast. It is very real, so the consumption is also worth it.

Xiao Yang, the front desk manager, was very proactive and attentive. He called me before we left. However, my SIM card was switched, so I didn’t receive the call. The main reason was that we found that our three room types were European and Japanese, so they would be on different floors. He was considerate. It is recommended that the current Japanese-style room can be arranged with three connecting rooms for the whole family, which is very convenient for us. The key point is that I have never encountered such active and considerate front desk service before👍 And they will actively ask the counter supervisor who will help us make the bed on the tatami if the two-meter-wide bed is not enough for three people to sleep in. ❤️ Taking the initiative to add me on WeChat, we almost have a private secretary in the hotel😄. Living on the executive floor is not much more expensive than the ordinary floor, but you can have breakfast in the executive lounge. The value of the ingredients is upgraded and there are relatively few people. It is very comfortable and delicious👍 The executive floor also has a happy hour from 17:30 to 19:30. We came in the off-season to have a set menu at Benkei Japanese Restaurant, Japanese sake and plum wine, and unlimited soft drinks. It is really a happy hour😄, sake and plum wine It has the aroma of rice wine, and it tastes like high-end quality. It’s amazing. The plum wine is not sweet. Before this, I really thought that plum wine was all sweet🤣. I came here to eat it for many days, but later I felt embarrassed because it was so cost-effective! You can enjoy coffee, snacks and pastries in the VIP room on the first floor almost all day long, and the drinks in the room refrigerator will be replenished for free! I told Xiao Yang that when we come to Xiamen, we can’t even eat the delicious food introduced by our friends because we are all fed by your restaurant🤣

This a a nice hotel with great walking distance to the exhibition center. Staff very nice and helpful even they don’t speak English but they use the app to translate. They went out of their way to accommodate my needs, they even washed my clothes for free and didn’t accept tips. Great value for the money. It’s not a fancy place but it is a clean place if you are traveling for business.

Convenient Location: The location of Intercontinental Xiamen is incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and clean. Overall, my stay at Intercontinental Xiamen was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience. The combination of friendly staff(Just like Rachel), excellent amenities, and a prime location makes it a standout choice.

The room is clean, the environment is good, and the service is good, but it is a little far from the city center, so it is not very convenient to go out. The surrounding area is a little remote, so it is not very convenient to eat and travel. Immersive hairpin experience (including clothing and headdress scenes): The experience was a bit perfunctory. I specifically wanted to come back to experience afternoon tea. When I came back, I put ginger red date tea and pear water in the thermos pot. The taste was very light. I guess I added water several times, and the snacks were gone.

The sea view is unbeatable, the hotel hardware is impeccable, the hotel supplies are all big brands, the design is very novel, the free sea yacht is very worthwhile, the Mazu Cultural Park is just across the street, you can go to worship, there is also a beach to play on the side, the subway line 2 station is also a ten-minute walk north, in general, it is very good, I will consider it next time I come

The variety and quality of the food were impressive, providing a delightful start to each day. I also appreciated the gym facilities, which were practical and useful for maintaining my fitness routine while traveling. It had everything I needed for a good workout, making it easy to stay active during my stay. Another unique aspect of the Mercure Hotel is the innovative use of robots to deliver food orders from ** (Meituan) directly to your room. This modern touch added a fun and convenient element to my experience, making it easy to enjoy delicious meals without leaving my room. Lastly, the hotel features a designated space for pick-ups and drop-offs, which was incredibly convenient for my travel arrangements. It made coming and going a breeze, allowing me to focus on my activities without any stress. there are mall nearby within 2KM and it’s so cheap and convenient to just didi anywhere from here. FYI during winter most hotels in china does not have air conditioning, here offer both air conditioning and heater, which is a must for me. Overall, I highly recommend the Mercure Hotel for anyone visiting Xiamen. The combination of a clean, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, practical gym, innovative delivery service, and excellent amenities like free laundry makes it a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. I look forward to returning on my next visit!

The facilities are very old, and the cabinets, doors and furniture inside seem to have not been replaced for more than 20 years. The door didn't even lock, there was no/very little hot water, and it wasn't hot enough, so I didn't take a shower that night. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in is definitely the Pound Sterling. I do not recommend this hotel at all. This time, because I was the only one staying there, I could deduct all my Ctrip points. I originally paid over 100 yuan a night, but ended up paying over 60 yuan. After entering the room, I wanted to check out immediately, thinking that I would only stay for one night and then leave, and I would never stay again. Apart from being close to a subway station (Lingdou), there are no other facilities nearby. There is a convenience store below the hotel, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to a slightly larger shopping mall, but there are not many people there. Breakfast was included but it was just the basics. I can't eat it either. Anyway, it’s much better to stay in some newer chain hotels/B&Bs than here. This house is really not worth living in.

A very nice hotel! A bit “run down” compared to the other ones we stayed at, but still very well kept and clean. The room was big and spaceous, the bathroom just amazing (we had the room with a bathtub). The staff was nice and the location is good. We did have to order to eat, since there are no restaurants nearby, but this is not a problem for us. The pool was a surprise (we are from Europe), since it is closed for a few hours during the day, and we had to wear a swimming cap. For ladies I also encourage you to wear a one piece - I had a two piece and was quite uncomfortable since every other women was covered up (long sleve shirts and pants). But overall i believe this is a great choice if you are looking for something near the beach, to go on evening walks along the coast. Would recommend!
