Elysium Gallery Hotel

Echoing other reviews here by saying this is a terrific value, clean and tidy hotel right in the centre of Yerevan, which is set apart by the staff, who really do provide some of the very best service I've ever received: big praise from me particularly to Sargis and Edqar. The single-bed rooms are superb value, albeit with a slightly odd - and tiny - toilet-cum-wet room. If you're able to handle that (and it's not a hardship, it's just small) this is incredible value.

My flight back home departed from Yerevan at 2 am, as so many of them do, so after checking out from my hotel I wanted an inexpensive room in a central location where to store my bags, change clothes, take a shower, rest for a while... The Elysium Gallery was perfect for this purpose. I paid 17 000 dram or 41 euros for a compact single room, more like a cabin on a ship really, and while I would not feel comfortable staying in such a small room for a longer period, for this short while it suited my needs just fine. There was a comfortable single bed with sockets by the bed, a chair and a small table but no closet. A 0.5 L water bottle was provided. Wifi was free, fast, unlimited and reliable. There was A/C, but while better than nothing, it was not very efficient. No safe. Slippers were provided. The room was well-lit, clean and tidy. The bathroom was small, and came with a shower with good water pressure as well as a small bar of soap and wall-mounted containers for Dove shampoo and shower gel. A dental kit was provided as well, which was impressive. All three receptionists spoke adequate English and were friendly. Reception is open 24/7. Transportation to the airport was organized by the hotel and cost 6000 dram. A hassle-free alternative that I gladly opted for instead of taxis that might have been somewhat cheaper. The hotel has an excellent location a block from Northern Avenue and within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. If you have trouble finding it, look for the signs directing you to Median Hotel, their sister hotel right next door, and they will be happy to take you to reception.

Having stayed in 15 different hotels during my recent travels for 2 months , I would say that this hotel is my favorite: 1. Edgar and his staff: All speak English and are very helpful in answering my travel-related questions. Reception area is open 24 hours a day. Without my asking, my room was upgraded. 2. My room: It has a queen size bed, AC, kettle, enclosed shower area, 3 free bottles of water daily, TV, fast wifi, etc. It was cleaned every day of my 4-day stay. 3. Location: Centrally locate. Around restaurants, shops, bakery, barber shop, Fruit Store, Grocery store. Five minute walk to the Northern Avenue and the Opera plus other attractions. 4. Breakfast: FREE, Buffett Breakfast at the 4th Floor of the Meridian Hotel, located behind it. Breakfast is from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Wide selections of foods: Hot items such as omelettes, rice dish, sausage, etc., fruits, juices, coffee, tea, salad ingredients, pastries, etc. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Yerevan. Our employee recently stayed at the Elysium Gallery Hotel in Yerevan and he was very impressed with the hotel's location and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel is located on the great area and is within walking distance to mane attractions. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yerevan!
