Very lovely hotel with overall good facilities. Great views over the Knavesmire towards the grandstands of York racecourse. Bar and restaurant areas clean & tidy. The choice at breakfast was excellent.

Hotel was fab, all the staff were lovely, our room got upgraded so we ended up with a huge family room! The hotel is so clean and the breakfast was really good!

Excellent hotel in a great location just outside York City Centre near the racecourse (shirt bus ride into the city), the room was well maintained and nicely decorated. Maybe a fridge would have been useful (looks like ours had been removed). Breakfast excellent and swimming pool very nice for a relaxing break.

Loved the location, the restaurant and the services of the hotel: spa, swimming pool and gym.
Only negative the parking which is not free and amenities in the room’s toilet.
Overall very good hotel.

Hotel a reasonable walk from city centre. Room pleasant and clean. Building works did not affect stay. Swimming pool busy in evening with no apparent time restriction for children.
