"I was troubled because I didn't know the password at the time of admission, but the response was quick and helpful.
The open-air bath was the best!
It was a pity that the TV was bad."
"A very cozy courtyard hotel with strong local characteristics, elegant and quiet environment, spacious and comfortable rooms, sufficient and delicious breakfast and dinner with reasonable matching. The hot springs are private and you can enjoy them relaxingly. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the bus stop, and it only takes 3 to 5 minutes to walk in a straight line. The town is not very big, you can walk everywhere, the air is good, and it is very suitable for a leisurely walk, with a feeling of wanting more."

"I traveled with my parents and my husband.
I went there and I have something to refer to, so I will leave a article !!!! ㅠㅠ
1. First of all, if you book a Japanese style, it is a tatami room without a bed, and you have to sleep on the floor with a blank. You have to book in Western style to have a bed. (Western style is narrow, so it is difficult to open two large carriers. Oh, and my parents were sleeping in a Japanese style room, and they said they caught about 3 ants ...)
2. The service to take you to the station is only available at 10 am. < - I was sorry that it was not in the explanation separately .. I asked if it was around 8 a.m., the staff called the taxi company, but at that time the taxi reservation was full, so I couldn't. So the next day, I dragged my suitcase 2 kilometers and walked.
3. The meal was very good. I felt like I was in a luxury restaurant. The hotel was unfortunate but the meal was ok. Take the Koreans' soda .. !
4. The staff was friendly. I really appreciated the efforts of the staff, such as calling the taxi company directly at 8 o'clock. Because it's very kind, there's no guide that can only be done at 10 o'clock. I can't get angry. ㅠㅠ
5. The hot spring bath was good, but it is not attached to each room and there are 4 in total! You can lock the door inside and change the sign while you are using it.
-----------------
Arrangement: Friendly staff, very good meals, public hot springs but good, distance stops (1.9km to the station), service to take you only 10 am, but there is no guide."
"Contemporary Onsen hotel. In room onsen bath tub is very nice with continuous flowing hot spring water, you can enjoy the hot spring every minute and whenever you want."
"The waiter at the hot spring hotel is very attentive. After arriving at the hotel, the waiter will lead you to the room where you are staying. The waiter will explain the hotel facilities in detail, including the opening hours of the outdoor hot spring, meal arrangements, etc. Bob, the waiter who received us, spoke very fluent English, was attentive to arrangements, and had a friendly smile, which made people feel very relaxed and natural. The waiters here understand Mandarin and have no problem communicating. The room I booked this time is equipped with an independent bath, which is semi-open-air. You can see the outdoor scenery. The water quality and temperature are very good, and it feels very good. In addition to enjoying the hot spring in my room, I also soaked in the public hot spring in the hotel. There is an outdoor and an indoor hot spring. There are time limits. Although the hot spring is not too big and can accommodate 6 people each, there was no one during the time I soaked. Maybe Let’s all enjoy the bath in the room. However, I recommend that you book a room with an independent hot spring bath, because you can soak in the hot spring at any time. There are not many rooms here, and they are highly private, so you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. I booked a stay with two meals. This meal is mainly fish. In addition to raw fish and grilled fish, friends who like to eat fish should not miss it."
"Location - A bit far away from the Yufuin JR station, driving is recommended. Within walking distance of Kinrinko and Stained Glass Museum is a plus.
Cleanliness - Clean room and common bath area.
Service - Per booking confirmation check-in time is 1500-1900. Front desk staff was already gone when I arrived at around 1815. Took longer then expected for doing self check-in as the reservation number I have is different from what it is in the system, and the staff over phone barely speaks English so I have to use my broken Japanese to communicate.
Facilities - Cannot ask for more for such a price. Free bicycle rental service is great for non-driving guess to travel around Yufuin."
"Highly recommended hotel
The best hot spring hotel I have stayed in Japan so far
Service is good, enthusiastic, and full of details. They really care about the guests
Hotel facilities are very good. It can be seen that the owner is a person of taste
Breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious
It makes people feel very relieved. It is a place for rest and sleep
Will go again
Thank you very much for your thoughtful care for my mother this time"
"This is a boutique hotel with only 5 rooms, the small one is more than 70 square meters, and the large one is more than 100 square meters. The price is relatively expensive, but we were fully booked during our stay.
The hotel is located in a layered garden with a very sense of design. There is a small green landscape outside each room. The room has a living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, toilet, large pool hot spring, shower room and sauna room, and two small platforms. The wine, snacks, ice cream, etc. in the bar are all free. There is also a one-hour free spa.
Breakfast is in its own restaurant. We stayed for two nights. The first dinner was in its own restaurant. The second night was in the hotel's exclusive restaurant that was not open to the public. The Japanese chef only served us and our husband. We have absolute private space and will not meet other guests in the hotel.
When we checked in, the hotel had just opened for 3 months and was still in the running-in period, but we could feel that the staff were very dedicated and wanted to provide the best service. Our account manager and housekeeper Eliena was very thoughtful, available at any time, and had no problem communicating in English.
Question: 1. The room design needs to consider the safety of customers. For example, the bed in the bedroom is on a half-foot high platform. Although there is a floor lamp, it is easy to step on empty space when getting up at night. In addition, there are three steps from the bedroom to the hot spring, bathing and other areas. The steps are cement gray. Although not high, they are easy to be ignored. 2. Although there is a glass partition door, the hot spring water and hot spring related equipment are quite loud at night. It is very uncomfortable to fall asleep on the first night. Guests with sleep problems can negotiate with the hotel to turn off the hot spring at night so that the water will not flow."

Amazing
AAnonymous UserExcellent experience!!
The 2 storey house included living room, bedroom, 2 restrooms, balcony and private onsen! The view from onsen is incredible!
Kaiseki dinner was served at the main building in a private room. The whole main meal and beverage were in high quality. Breakfast on the next day morning was good too.
Staffs were helpful and polite. Free taxi round trip from JR station to the hotel. And just 8 min walk from the Kinrin Lake which is prefect for getting up early for the morning mist.

PPriscillaWe had a great 2 nights stay at this Ryokan. Location was near Yufuin Floral Village, and around 20 mins walk from Yufuin JR station. It was a nice walk to Yufuin JR station as there were many shops and eateries that you can visit along the way. Alternatively, there is also bus 36 from Yufuin but terminal that would stop near to the ryokan.
The staff were really outstanding, friendly and helpful. When we arrived, a couple of them rushed to help us with our luggage and to also shelter us from the rain. During the entire stay, they made us feel very welcomed.
The Western/Japanese room that we booked was very spacious and had all the amenities we required. Note that this is a 2 storey living area - level 1 had a bathroom with private indoor and outdoor onsen as well as the living room, while level 2 had a toilet (w/o bath) and 1 western bedroom as well as 1 Japanese bedroom.
There are 4 public onsen in the ryokan. 2 for female and 2 for male. They would rotate it during the day and night to allow everyone to try out the different onsen.
We also had our breakfast and dinner at the ryokan as part of the package. The dishes were different on both days. The spread was huge and food tasted great. Note that there are very few places open at Yufuin during dinner time.

GGuest UserI traveled with two families. The large public bath was really nice, and I couldn't go in because I was using the family bath, but the large public bath alone was good. The open-air bath attached to the room was also really nice, so I soaked for 10 minutes early in the morning and left. It was a bit far to get to the main street. You can go by car, but there are paid parking lots to park in, and it seemed like it would take about the same amount of time to walk, so we walked to see the sights. I had a baby, so I took a stroller, but it was okay to walk to the main street and Kinrin Lake. It took about 15 minutes to walk. It's expensive, but I liked everything about the ryokan overall. Thank you.

GGuest UserThe staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.
SSerena_세레나I was looking for a place with good value for money and accessibility in Kyoto because I was attracted to ryokans! It is a place near Kirin Lake, so it is close to Yufuin Street. The location is perfect! It was about 10-15 minutes walk from the bus terminal and Yufuin Station. I was alone, but I went there cheaply because there was a special price. There seemed to be many families, and I didn't make a reservation, so I used it at 16:30, which is ambiguous about using the private bath. I was originally staying in Yufuin for 2 nights, and it was the last day, so I went right at check-in time and spent the day at the accommodation. I enjoyed the private bath and the large bath, and it was so great! It was December 9/10, but it wasn't cold to wash outside (it could be the heat of the hot spring, but it varies from person to person.)
You can enjoy the private bath in the morning, but I finished the morning with the large bath! The kaiseki and breakfast were great!
I also thought it would be better if I brought my parents. I don't know if the staff is Korean, but there was someone who could speak Korean, so I had a very comfortable trip!!
You should definitely visit.

FFung ManI booked a private spa for three days and two nights at this hot spring hotel from January 10th to 12th. I was very satisfied with the hotel's service, environment, and location. It's also very close to Jinlin Lake or Pedestrian Street in the morning. You also have your own private room for breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend this hotel. 😃

Very Good
GGuest UserThis onsen hotel look rather old and tired from the outside, but besides that, everything about it exceeded my expectations.
Location is just about a 6-7 minutes' walk from the train station. We stayed in the Japanese style room, which was clean, fairly spacious and overlooking the mountains.
Onsen was good with both indoor and outdoor pools on the ground floor and first floor, swapping between males and females at allocated hours.
As for the dinner, it was simply awesome! It was the standard buffet eat and drink all you can type, except it was not so standard with the standard food and the usual house pour.
Dinner was widespread and high-quality stuff (graded wagyu steak) and a selection of whisky and premium beer lager. (Beer not the usual plastic cups BUT BY THE BOTTLES!) It was no surprise that queues start forming at 5.30pm even though dinner officially only start at 6.
So, if Sansuikan is your pick, make sure you make a reservation with dinner.

GGuest UserThe hot springs are heavenly in the winter. There is a jacuzzi in each room, but the public bath is much better. The staff doesn't speak English well, but since they don't, communication seems to be better. It's convenient, close to the main street, and the Japanese garden is very charming. The kaiseki cuisine and breakfast are also excellent. It's worth the price.
