APM Shopping Mall 'Spring Playground·City Stroll'

Recently, apm has collaborated with the popular Korean illustrators Pink Rabbit and Vanilla Bear 'Pink & Ven', to create a theme of 'Spring Playground·City Stroll', setting up a playground that spans over 2,000 square feet. The playground features a fun and adorable style, interpreting various Hong Kong characteristic spots, including the Tsing Ma Bridge, the Clock Tower at Star Ferry Pier, the Ferris wheel, ice cream trucks, and more, all filled with the unique charm of Hong Kong. It really gives a warm and familiar feeling, making it irresistible not to take photos at different spots. The event will end at the end of May, so if you happen to visit apm, don't miss out.

Camping, another summervacation

Tai Tan is one of the convenient spot for camping if you want to spend a night outdoors especially for beginners. It is easy to reach by bus 94 from Sai Kung Bus terminal or 96R from Diamond Hill Bus Terminus, get off at Tai Tan bus stop. It has facilities: Pavilion, benches with tables, BBQ pits, toilet and tap water. The camping site itself is spacious. The highlight is the Tai Tan tree walk with about 18 tree species and the major characteristics is the European Pavillion. It would be better to prepare all the stuff you need considering the location. You'll spend quite sometimes to get to nearby convenient store to buy food or drinks. We spent a night, sitting around the barbecue pit while singing some old songs. We really enjoy it. And don't forget to bring mosquito repellent!!! #香港camping #naturelover #本地遊

Travel to Hong Kong.

Travel to Hong Kong.

Explore Hong Kong~ Gas lamps still shining on Dundas Street. "Blue and White Porcelain" on Miniature Street Visit the Cathedral of Saint John, the church building is beautiful. The beautiful banyan tree is very beautiful, with branches growing downwards and deeply rooted in the soil, forming a constantly strong and magnificent tree scene. Take the Peak Tram to reach the top of Victoria Peak and enjoy the panoramic view of Hong Kong. In order to enjoy the beautiful night view of Hong Kong, we waited until around seven o'clock. Due to the heavy fog on the mountain, the visual experience was not ideal, but it was still quite beautiful.

Tai Kwun 🎨✨

In the heart of Central in Hong Kong, combine Art and cultural heritage. The exhibition is full of art installation, projection, moving objects and immersive art. You can easily spend several hours leisurely exploring the grounds and enjoying art exhibitions and performances here. 🥰 Tai Kwun Cultural Centre has been a real success, an excellent example of how to make use of heritage buildings around Hong Kong in ways that are beneficial to the public and interesting for visitors to the city. 💃🏻 I enjoy the visit very much. Free entry and plenty spaces for picnic or coffee break outside of this building. Highly Recommended, after that you may walk along Hollywood road to view an old temple and flea market around that area. 👀✨ #wheretogo

An unusual weekend getaway

#weekendgetaways I know a lot of people who won't consider Hong Kong when it comes to weekend getaways. I get it, the place is absurdly expensive. Getting a decent room without breaking the bank tends to be a hassle. Most of all it is just another city. Especially, if you are coming from Singapore and well versed with the possible scope of an urban holiday. However, what works for me besides the easy in and out. Not too long flights and that hong kong is not all that big, this suits a 2-3 night long weekend getaway. I feel the place has character, it's got a vibe and the people are fun. Not so much in the last decade or so with heavy numbers of mainland folks moving in and prices rising even more. But still there is something that Hong kong retains in its soul and spirit. While many would write it off as a lost cause or perhaps lost to the giant next door. I'm still hopeful and positive that the place has much to offer and will perhaps see better days in the future. #weekendgetaways #cityphoto_hongkong #cherryblossom2024 #urbanart #diverse

🇭🇰 Battle of the wanton noodles

Coming to Hong Kong is mostly food-motivated for me and I have tried so many of them. Both Mak’s noodles and Tsim Chai Kee are located nearby each other along Wellington street. I decided to do a taste test with their famous wanton noodles. Both wanton noodles are not being priced at the same price. Also, for Hong Kong’s wanton noodles, they are usually served in soup versions with springy noodles. If I did a blind taste test, I would not be able to taste the difference. However, the soup in both wanton noodles taste different. If you have time, just try out these 2 noodles shops. They are nearby each other. *photos are taken before pandemic and HK is not open for travelling yet but I will be there soon :) #hkinsider #liveyourdreams #takethattrip

DS Groceries

📍 Fortress Hill, Hong Kong ✨DS Groceries is a grocery store in Hong Kong with multiple branches. We visited the one near our accommodation in Fortress Hill. ✨The store is known for its affordable prices and wide range of products. Customers can find everyday essentials like bottled water, snacks, and souvenirs at lower prices compared to regular convenience stores. ✨The prices are quite cheap, and I like stopping by to buy bottled water because it's much more affordable than at many other stores. #hongkongguide

Memories on the wall

I went to this restaurant on Ki Lung street, Lo Fung Restaurant. Overall, I love the decoration. And I think it brings up memories when looking at the pictures hanging on the wall. I was in a rush, so I ordered a simple meal. I just realized after that when I saw delicious food served to a woman seated next to me. Ahh, I missed the signature dish on the menu. It was food served in the bread bowl 🥯🥣. Hmmm, I'm thinking about coming again next time. No worry if you can't read Chinese since the menu has an English translation. How to get there: Take MTR to Sham Shui Po, and get off by exit A2. Cross Yu Chau street, and walk along until you are on Ki Lung street. Turn left, the restaurant on your left-hand side. #bucketlistreboot #awesomepic #foodie

Hong Kong Travel (Super Comprehensive Guide)

Hong Kong Travel (Super Comprehensive Guide)

1. If you want to eat at some specialty small shops, you still need to exchange cash. 2. There is a handling fee for the short-term return of the Octopus card. If you can accept it, it is recommended to apply for it, and the itinerary will be smoother. The subway involves ports, and the cross-sea part will indeed be more expensive. The subway price list will be put at the end of the picture for reference. Minibuses require Octopus cards, drive very fast, and you need to speak up when getting off. If you come to Hong Kong for the first time and your Cantonese is not good, it's best not to choose! 3. Buy a data package according to the operator before going through the customs. Don't believe the subway cost of a certain high map. 4. If you come to Hong Kong for the first time, it is recommended to go to Lantau Island, Victoria Peak, and Golden Bauhinia Square. If you have been here multiple times, you can choose Lamma Island, Shek O, Cheung Chau Island and other places. 5. Most of the tea restaurants are quite ordinary, and the prices are not so beautiful. There is no need to follow the internet celebrities. Personally, I prefer to choose Tim Ho Wan, beef brisket noodles, Genki, Sushi Express, Japanese barbecue shops in Hong Kong. Although there are chains in the mainland, the ones in Hong Kong are better! 6. The very popular Kennedy Town on the Internet is actually taking pictures on the wire mesh of the basketball court. It is a check-in point that tests the lens. It is indeed very photogenic. If you are close, you can come and see, if you are far away, there is no need to make a special trip. 7. Remember to bring a power bank when you come to Hong Kong 8. You still need a black code to go through customs, remember to prepare it in advance on the day of departure. 9. If you come to Hong Kong for the first time, it is recommended to put shopping aside, the current advantage is not great, and in this city with an average of 23,000 steps per day, it is indeed more physically exhausting. 10. I personally love Hong Kong Disneyland, squatting little foxes and sticking little foxes are more friendly, don't miss it if you like it. Ocean Park is also a good choice, if you like small animals, it is recommended to go, and the transportation is very convenient. 11. If the weather is good, Lantau Island and Victoria Peak are worth experiencing, but the queue is very tiring during holidays. You can adapt to the situation. When there are many people, you can choose to take a bus up and down the mountain, which is faster and the price is better.
