Located right within the ancient town, adjacent to the Eight Banners Guild Hall and very close to Simatai Great Wall. However, getting around is quite convenient thanks to the shuttle bus service. The rooms possess an antique charm, perfectly aligning with the ancient town's unique character. From the window, you can witness the winding Great Wall, a truly expansive and spectacular view. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with options like coffee, noodles, and wontons available for advance order, all complimentary. Highly recommended!

Great place, I am happy I stayed there :)  Well designed and very very well located.  Gubei Water village however was very hard to access, I wasn’t aware there was only two buses a day running from Beijing and it was a bit of a nightmare to arrive. Had I known, I wouldn’t have come. But the hotel is great! And their soy milk is delicious.

I had a great experience during my first stay last year, so I chose to return to this hotel on my trip to Beijing this year. I arrived quite late in the evening, and the receptionist was expressionless, speaking in a very stiff, emotionless tone. The air conditioning in the room kept making intermittent strange noises, which caused me to wake up numerous times throughout the night, and I woke up with a headache in the morning.

Good for foreigners as it is very easy to find. It’s the first stop of the shuttle bus. It’s location is perfect, close to restaurants and shops. The rooms are big and very clean, I got a very nice view of the lake. My family enjoyed it very much and the staff at the restaurant and at the hotel were friendly and cheerful. One of the best BnBs I’ve stayed in China.

Highly recommended! This location is excellent. The room is very BIG, fitting for two people and two large suitcases. The tea in the room is very great!! The lobby is a bit small. The staff is friendly, though they don't speak English; using Google Translate is the best way to communicate. This water town is very beautiful. You should spend 1-2 nights here to visit the Great Wall both during the day and at night, as it's stunning at both times. Overall, it was great, and I'll be back.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of town, within easy reach of many attractions. Whether you're exploring locally or heading further out, its central position makes it a great base. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, creating a warm, homely atmosphere that makes guests feel right at home. The family-run restaurant serves delicious, authentic local cuisine. While the ⁶ may not cater to all foreign palates, it’s a great opportunity to try traditional dishes. A standout feature is the hotel’s luggage courier service, which delivers bags directly to the car park. From there, you can easily catch a bus to **Beijing city center**, making transfers hassle-free.

This is not the first time I have been to Gubei. Last time I came here, I saw this riverside hotel and had a meal here. It was delicious. At that time, I saw that they had a room with a balcony facing the river, so I thought about finding an opportunity to stay there. I used to stay in boutique hotels. This time I booked this room as I wished. It really met my expectations. It was very good. Facing the river, I drank tea leisurely in the afternoon. The next morning, I opened the window and felt like a morning in the south of the Yangtze River. There were mountains, water, trees, and geese and ducks playing in the water leisurely outside the window. The location of the hotel is the center of Gubei. It is very convenient to go anywhere. It is also close to the shuttle bus. There is a snack street outside the door, and Sun Moon Island is across the bridge. The breakfast of the inn is also delicious, and lunch and dinner are also recommended. It is really good.

Great experience… location of this reasonable priced inn is at the end of Wtown and super close to the entrance of the Great Wall. Room is not new but authentic and equipped with necessities. Staff was super friendly, WiFi was good, breakfast was simple yet delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very cozy and very close to Tiananmen Square. The front desk service is good and the hotel is clean and tidy. We stayed there for three days and someone cleaned our room every day. It was very good and I will stay here again next time I come to Beijing.

The inn is inside the scenic area, not too far from the gate of the scenic area. This inn is very convenient. You can put down your luggage first, and then go out to play and take the shuttle bus to get there. There is no problem with the sanitation environment. It is also very close to the Sun Moon Island Square, which is very convenient for resting after watching the performance at night.
