"The environment here is absolutely fantastic. In the front, there's a bookstore and a cafe, while the back features the accommodations. The layout with two courtyards/patios, and the whole concept of renovating an old house, feels very sophisticated. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design; the space feels fluid and open, yet still maintains partitions and privacy. My room was upgraded to a second-floor unit with a skylight – it was incredibly romantic to read while listening to the rain. Every corner of the courtyard is picturesque, perfect for photos. The room's amenities and little details were thoughtfully provided, and the service was impeccable. I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again."

"The room was spacious and bright, with a great sense of openness. Being a suite, I could open the curtains and enjoy a vast green view, breathing in fresh air – it was incredibly comfortable. I could even sunbathe right on the balcony! If I have the chance next time, I hope to stay a few more nights to really soak it all in. The cleanliness was impeccable; everything was spotless, with no unpleasant odors, and attention to detail was evident throughout. The location was very convenient. Getting to the Xizha Scenic Area by taxi was quick, just a few minutes, making getting around hassle-free. The front desk service was warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient, and they were always ready to answer questions with a friendly and professional attitude. Overall, my experience was excellent, offering great value for money. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Wuzhen, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

"Finally, I stayed here on my own. I'd always booked for clients before, but this time, I brought a friend along to experience a river-view room in the heart of Xitang. It was worth the trip. We also saw the flower boats. There weren't many, only six, but they were perfect for the setting. Interlude: I asked the landlady to borrow two beautiful fire goblets, and then my friend dropped them on the floor. The first thing the landlady asked was if we had any scratches, and she didn't ask for compensation."

"I took my family on vacation and chose this homestay at first sight. It turned out to be the right choice! The environment is really great, surrounded by bamboo forests, and there is a small waterfall on the back mountain. The scenery is not inferior to the scenic spot. It is very comfortable to stay at home and be in a daze. It is perfect for vacation! The boss came to receive us in person as soon as we got off the car. He was very enthusiastic and answered all questions! The layout of the room is very simple and elegant, with all kinds of facilities and sufficient heating! It is worth mentioning that the hygiene is very clean in every corner! Parking and eating are also very convenient! It is only more than ten minutes drive from the county town! A very satisfactory stay experience, recommended! ! !"

"Facilities: A bit dated. Cleanliness: Though old, it's clean. Ambiance: The environment is great, mainly because the hotel's location is excellent. Service: Very attentive; they help bring luggage to the room. The front desk staff (a young man) is very patient and answers all questions, and they even help call a taxi when you leave."

"Super fun! This was one of the theme hotels that were hidden on the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street set. Appropriately, the Rosslyn Hotels' brand icon is the Landlady from Kungfu Hustle. Upon arrival, you check in at the North Gate's Tourist Services Desk. The concierge welcomed me with a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and asking me to add their butler (Housekeeper Xiao Xiao) to my WeChat. If I needed anything, I just had to text the Housekeeper Xiao Xiao (who was super helpful with all my questions (in English) during my stay). Then the bellhop whisked me away, via golf cart, to my hotel. There were several hidden hotels, with different themes, throughout the set. The bellhop took me through an unassuming door among into what looked like an empty set, and up an elevator to the room floors. The walkway offered a lovely view of the Ming Qing Palace set next door. The rooms were supposed to be themed as Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, but could easily pass for old Shanghai. The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower has nice and hot and with fantastic water pressure. The room has some of the largest closet space that I have seen in any hotel. The WiFi worked without the need to register a local cellphone number (I've found that many other hotels, in China, offered free WiFi, but you need to verify with an ID code text to you. The texts never come through to my U.S. phone number, so I have never been able to take advantage of free WiFi; that is until I got to this hotel.) The little details were delightful surprises around every corner. They always refer to guests as ”laoshi” (an honorific of teacher, or master, bestowed to actors) or as ”starlet”. Not gonna lie, I really wanted to take home the pair of the room's bone china cups. The stay also comes with very decent breakfast buffet that had both Chinese and western dishes. They will even make you fresh wontons and noodle soups to order. The restaurants in the park are not great and quite expensive by China's standard. I recommend loading up at the more tasty free breakfast to power through the day. The hotel's location was very convenient for touring Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street; which had very lively evening shows. (As you walk through the streets, look at the stores' signs and test your TV shows and movie knowledge by finding the Easter eggs.) The Qing Ming Palace Set is across the street from the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street's South Gateon the other side of the park (don't worry, it's not that far). To access the other sets, you can take their shuttle, but it does not come around very often. It's more efficient to get a Didi. Overall, it was a magical stay of being in the movies."

"This hotel is quite charming—it’s a large, old house that has been nicely converted into several hotel rooms. Our room was very comfortable. However, a heads-up regarding the bathroom: there was no door on the toilet area, and the shower was an all-glass enclosure. Since I was traveling with my husband, it wasn't an issue for us, but if you are traveling with friends, you might want to be aware of this lack of privacy. The location is excellent! It’s right next to the City Wall and super close to several great restaurants and cool bars. We also liked the service; the staff were quite attentive. One thing I found confusing, though, was that they didn't register my address as per the usual government standard for foreign guests, which most hotels in China follow. As for cleanliness, it was standard for China—there were a few stray hairs in parts of the room (usually women's hair), but I find this happens in practically any hotel here. Overall, it was a good stay!"

"This is a guesthouse in the Xizha Scenic Area. It's at the end of a narrow alley, so I couldn't find it on my own. But the staff at the hostel kindly called and asked for the hotel, and I was able to find it. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room has a lovely atmosphere, and it's perfect for exploring the ancient town late at night or early in the morning. The air conditioning was weak, so it was a little cold."

"This is a beautiful Jiangnan courtyard! The location is super convenient, right outside the old streets and alleys of the hometown of the calligrapher. After strolling around in the evening, you can relax in the courtyard and chat. There's a cute little cat named Qiyue who lives in the shop! The breakfast at Shi Er is also very good. 😻 I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shaoxing! Highly recommended for those who enjoy quiet, photography, and want to experience the slow pace of Jiangnan life."

"The B&B's location is super convenient and easy to find, very close to the scenic spots. The breakfast was also really rich and delicious. The environment is beautiful; I really love it here and will definitely come back again. Here, I witnessed the beautiful beginning of my love story with her, and I hope this place marks a wonderful start for us, where we can understand and cherish each other. We don't need grand gestures, just to walk hand-in-hand through life's small moments."
