Although it’s a bit far to the Kyoto train station, if you know how to take the bus, there are 3 bus stops + 1 Shijouoomiya train station which are really closed to this hotel (only 6 to 10 mins walk), which can lead you to anywhere of the tourist spots !! 👍🏻 hotel located in a quiet street which gives you a well sleep at night. 😴The hostel of this hotel are helpful, they helped us to return our kimono via the local post since we are rush in time to travel around. 📤 They replied the email daily and fast, at the first day we couldn’t find their reception to check in (Just found out it’s a self check system that they had already sent you a password to your email earlier). 📧 They helped us to take care of our luggage after we check out our room, as we were going to nearby spots after the living. All the facilities and equipment are clean, you can tell they had mopped the floor, clean anywhere of the kitchen, restroom and sleeping room all the way around and leaving with no dust. 🪣👍🏻 my conclusion is, I will definitely come back to book their hotels, their signature brand “Risshisha”, next time when I come back to travel again. Once again, thank you for your 5 stars services !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

This was such a nice hotel! Everything was perfectly clean, and I felt very comfortable during my stay. I think this is the nicest place I have stayed in recently. I was glad that everything was clean and well-organized. They tell you everything you need to know in a little folder in your room. They also answered my questions very quickly and kindly. The best parts for me were that the heating and water heater worked, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and they explained everything I was curious about in detail in the folder, on signs, or in email communications. One thing I didn't know until I got here is that there is a shared microwave, which is nice when you get food from the convenience store.

Small hotel a bit far from town but well served by public buses just outside. Room relatively big by Japanese standard. Good AC, hot water and water pressure. Tiny toilet and a small kitchenette. There’s a supermarket, Starbucks and 7-11 nearby. One of the largest Starbucks with a nice decor. Not much eating places around. Small HK restaurant beside run by a HK couple.

It was clean, but the shared space is a bit uncomfortable for women. There seems to be a women-only floor, but I didn't know about it when I made the reservation and only found out after I got there. I told them I wanted to use the shower room (even if I had to pay extra), but they said it was not possible, so I felt uncomfortable using the shared shower room and didn't use it. I wish it was written a bit more clearly. Men were also surprised to see women there, so I don't think it was comfortable for either of them.

Because I chose this hotel close to the city center, I found that the location was very convenient after I actually checked in. It was only a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Shijo in the center of Kyoto. And next to the hotel is the Rosen convenience store very convenient, there is a Michelin ramen shop next door to the convenience store, although we stayed during the renovation, the store did not open the door and was not late 😿 I have a chance to come again next time. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is also very convenient to use the password to operate the door lock without having to worry about losing the room card. Other hotels I stayed in before lost the room card and lost 5,000 yen 😵💫, because there is no room card to check out is also very convenient to go directly before the check-out time. Very convenient. Because the surrounding public transportation is very convenient, this check-out day left the luggage to the front desk and continued to visit Kyoto for a while before leaving. The only fly in the ointment is that the opposite temple will ring the bell every morning, but it should not affect 😬 if I don’t like to sleep until 10 o’clock every day.

Let me talk about the size of the room first. Compared with the average Japanese business traveler, this room can be described as super comfortable. There is no sense of oppression. The room facilities are all well equipped, and there should be some, because we go in winter, and there is also a big terrace. Warm stickers are provided, but we just happened to have prepared ourselves so we didn’t take the position. It was in the middle of the Shijo and Wujo stations. If you are pulling luggage, you should pay attention to which exit has an elevator, or you will have to go up the stairs yourself.

The bathrooms and toilets are shared, but there are plenty of them and they are clean! The bread at breakfast was delicious and the lounge was spacious and comfortable (^o^) The bed in the room was spacious and comfortable. The smell in the room was bothersome, probably because the window couldn't be opened. It would be good if they had a deodorizer.

The handsome guy at the front desk patiently helped me store my luggage; the lady at the front desk gave me a detailed description of the room when I checked in; the room is fully equipped, with a good location and convenient transportation.

Staying at the Star Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is located in a quiet alley. There are friendly ladies who can speak Chinese. It only takes a few minutes to walk from the hotel to Sanjusangendo. The entrance ticket only accepts cash. If you forget, you can exchange it at the Familymart self-service machine at the entrance of the alley (just a few steps away from Sanjusangendo). There is a McDonald's at the entrance of the alley, opposite It is a subway and bus station. It is very convenient to go to Hanamikoji, Gion, Shichijo Shopping Street, and Kyoto Station. There is Don Quixote in Yotobashi at Kyoto Station🤣

A relatively new B&B, a small building with 6-7 rooms on 3 floors, clean and sanitary, meeting basic accommodation requirements. Kamogawa Park is just outside the alley, and there are buses nearby, making it convenient to get to Zhiyuan, Kiyomizu Temple, Sanningzaka Ninenzaka, Kodaiji Temple, and Yasaka Shrine. You can also take a bus to Kinkakuji Temple.
