"Sunway Hotel, recommended by Doubao, truly exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. Upon check-in, we were given warm cookies, which immediately won over our travel-weary and hungry hearts. Our luggage was not only brought to our room but also placed exactly where we wanted it, which was incredibly thoughtful. The bottled water provided was in beautiful glass bottles, making the water taste even better. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks, replenished daily. The hotel has been renovated; while the bath towels were a bit old, they were very well-maintained. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring we had two very restful nights. Although the pool was small, it was clean. For this price, with such service and a pool, it truly offers excellent value for money. Plus, right downstairs is a local night market – not a touristy one – where you can find authentic char kway teow, longan ice, and fried vermicelli from Wu Zhou Tea Room, all highly recommended!"

"Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here. Ambience & Design The hotel has a classic, old-world charm. Although the building shows its age, it has been very well maintained. The lobby looks elegant and gives off a premium atmosphere. Service One of the highlights of this hotel is the staff. Every employee I encountered was polite, friendly, and very helpful. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Facilities The swimming pool is large and very clean. The gym is also decent for a hotel gym, although the weight selection is somewhat limited for those who prefer heavier training. One small issue I noticed was that after it rained, I saw mushrooms growing along the corridor outside the rooms and there was a slight musty smell in certain areas. 😅 Room I booked a sea-view room and the view was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained. The only downside is the carpet, which makes the room feel a little dated. While everything appeared clean, the carpet looked worn and slightly stained. Cleanliness: 4/5 Overall cleanliness was good and everything looked clean to the naked eye. Breakfast Breakfast was one of the better parts of the stay. There was a wide variety of choices, including Western, Indian, Malay, and Chinese dishes. However, if you arrive late, some popular items may already be gone. I missed out on the dim sum because it had run out by the time I arrived. 😅 Overall The hotel is comfortable, well maintained, and located in a convenient area. Despite showing some signs of age, the excellent service and overall atmosphere made the stay enjoyable. "I booked two rooms with induction cooktops, which was very convenient. I felt like it could even accommodate five or six people at most (just exaggerating, haha!). It's only one or two kilometers from the city center, perfect for a city walk. The lady at the front desk was very beautiful; I wonder if she was Indian. It is right in the heart of George Town, so many famous attractions, cafés, local food stalls, restaurants, and convenience stores are just a short walk away. I didn't need to travel far to find delicious food or explore the city's beautiful streets and historic buildings. The accommodation was also peaceful and quiet, allowing me to relax after spending the day sightseeing. Everything I needed was provided, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. "The room was clean and spacious. The bed was also clean and large. The private pool in the room was clean, as was the toilet and the large, clean bathtub. It was a great stay for families. My room didn't have any Charlie ants. The only downside was the breakfast, which had a limited time slot – only an hour – so it felt rushed to get food. I would definitely repeat my stay."

"We were able to check in as soon as we arrived at 12 PM. The location is excellent, with great shopping malls nearby, and it's not far from Shantou Street. The room facilities aren't brand new, but they were clean and tidy. The overall room service was quite good. We stayed for four nights and it seems we even got upgraded to a sea view room, which offered beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Recommended."

"It's located a little further in from the main street, so it's quiet and peaceful. Staff was friendly and provided refreshments upon checking in. Rooms are very clean, and the room I chose was spacious with plenty of room for luggage and shopping. We took the breakfast package but didn't have time to try it due to our early flight. Thankfully there's a free shuttle bus service to and from the airport. Didn't really have time to enjoy the facilities but the swimming pool looks nice."
