All Moments About Alexandria
Majestic Ancient Egypt
As a tourist, Alexandria is captivating! I loved exploring the blend of ancient history and modern life. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is a stunning architectural marvel, a true highlight. Stepping back in time at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa was fascinating, and wandering through the Citadel of Qaitbay offered incredible sea views and a sense of bygone eras. Even just strolling along the Corniche, feeling the Mediterranean breeze, was wonderful. It's a city with a unique charm, rich in culture and history, and definitely worth a visit!

Spring season with a view of the Mediterranean!
#springwander #alexandriaegypt
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I visited the Citadel of Qaitbay during spring time. It offers an amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea especially during Sunset time. Despite being a site of historical significance, it is also a beautiful spot to visit. It is actually made from the ruins of one of the ancient wonders of the world I.e. Alexandria Lighthouse. You can really enjoy sunny and breezy weather here. This fortress built in the 15th century is very well preserved and the topmost attraction in Alexandria. I really enjoyed the panoramic views of the city here and can highly vouch for visiting this place specially during spring.

Vibrant Heart of Alexandria
My recent trip to Alexandria was an unforgettable journey through bustling market streets, delightful food, and breathtaking sunsets by the beach.
Market Streets
Wandering through the lively market streets, I was immediately struck by the vibrant atmosphere. The narrow alleys were filled with colorful stalls selling everything from fresh spices to handmade crafts. The aroma of street food wafted through the air, drawing me in. The locals were friendly, eager to share stories and recommend their favorite dishes, making me feel welcomed in this historic city.
Culinary Delights
The food in Alexandria is a highlight of the experience. I indulged in fresh seafood from local vendors, savoring dishes like grilled fish and shrimp served with zesty tahini sauce. Don't miss trying the famous Alexandrian falafel and fresh pita bread. Each meal was a celebration of flavors, and the lively atmosphere of the eateries added to the experience.
The People
The people of Alexandria are the soul of the city. Their warmth and hospitality created a sense of connection. Whether chatting with shopkeepers or sharing a laugh with fellow travelers, I felt part of a vibrant community. The blend of cultures and traditions is evident in their stories and the way they embrace visitors.
Sunset at the Beach
As the day came to an end, I made my way to the beach. The sunset over the Mediterranean was breathtaking, with hues of orange and pink painting the sky. It was a perfect backdrop as I reflected on the day's adventures. The sound of waves crashing against the shore provided a serene escape, making it an ideal spot to unwind.
Conclusion
Alexandria is a city that captivates the senses. From the bustling markets to the stunning sunsets, every moment is filled with charm and beauty. I left with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for this remarkable destination. Whether you’re a food lover, a history buff, or just looking for a vibrant atmosphere, Alexandria has something for everyone.

Citadel of Qaitbay 🇪🇬
The fortress in Alexd, also known as the Citadel of Qaitbay, is a historical landmark that dates back to the 15th century.
It was built by Sultan Qaitbay on the site of the former Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
The fortress served as a defensive stronghold against the Ottoman invasion and later as a naval base for the Egyptian army.
The fortress has a distinctive architecture that reflects the Mamluk style, with a circular tower, a mosque, and a courtyard.
The fortress is now a museum that showcases the maritime history of Alexandria and the Mediterranean.
The fortress offers a panoramic view of the sea and the city, and is a popular tourist attraction

Catacombs of Alexandria
Name: Catacombs of Alexandria
Address: Carmous, Alexandria
Atmosphere/Facilities: A 30-meter underground cemetery
Recommended points: When you go down the stairs, you will find yourself in a cool, different world even in summer. There are many holes dug underground to place coffins.
Average price: 100 Egyptian pounds (August 2023, about 500 yen, payment by card only, no cash)
Evaluation: You can experience the feeling of having traveled back in time to the Roman era about 2,000 years ago. In the garden above ground, there are relics from that era such as columns and coffins.

Alexander City Emblem | Pompeii Stone Pillar
🗿Built during the reign of Roman Emperor Trajan in the 1st century AD, the stone column was originally part of the Temple of Serapis. The temple existed for only a short time before it was destroyed, and only the column was preserved, becoming a navigational landmark for sailors.
Following the stone path all the way up, there is only one towering stone pillar, which is the Stone Pillar, also known as the "Pillar of Knights". The surroundings of the stone pillar are dotted with many artworks from the Pharaonic period as a backdrop, but now they are incomplete.

GOOD VIBES ALEX! 🇪🇬
I enjoyed so much with travel to Alexandria as the best time to go in March and April as the city be more quite and in Winter. The best place when you take a fast boat in El Montazah Beach and take Break fast at Helnan Palastine as well a lunch at El Salamlik Resturant, there are many places in Alexandria you can enjoy.
Alexandria is Egypt's major port and the country's second largest city. Unlike the rest of the country, it is cool and wet in the winter, with refreshing Mediterranean breezes during the heat of summer. Alexander the Great founded the city in 332 BC on the site of a small fishing village, Rhakotis. Explore Alex people!

Top 10 attraction in Alexandria, Egypt.
Dreaming want to have a short escape from hustle and bustle of university's life, my friend and I decided to go to CITADEL OF QAITBAY, ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT.
As we were traveling from Tanta, Egypt, a small village which full of greenary view with tamed dino-size various kind of animals, also the town was so bright and sound as there are no difference between day and night.
Along the road we can hear lorries, motorcycles, cars, and many other type of vehicle blowing their honk. It is also part of Egyptian's unique behavior and attitude which hype me even more.
We were traveling by train and then once we arrived in Alexandria, we have to take TREMCO(public minivan) that will bring us to our destination. It cost us less than 35 Egyptian Pounds to go there from Tanta. The journey took about 1¹/² hours.
Subhanallah!
As we saw the bluish green colors of the Mediterranean Sea, we felt so calm and relaxing.
Alexandria is good place for you to bring your family if you are interested to travel to Egypt ☺️

this beautiful fortress offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding cities. some locals suggested us that this is the perfect spot to watch sunset, so we arrived around 5pm. even after so many years, this fortress still look strong, it’s amazing that how well preserved it is. there are only part of the fortress are in ruins, the most of part of the fortress are well preserved.
the ticket is really affordable and cheap, as one of the must see places in Alexandria, I recommend everyone to come here. you can take a walk around, and the museum explains that how arabs and Roman use to protect this critical gateway to Egypt from the Mediterranean Sea.

Sunset in Garden of Palace
Montazah basically comes from the root word of nuzha which means untouched and free. Like the word that it is taken from, the garden itself gives off a very tranquil feeling as you stroll through it while being lightly caressed by the touch of the sea breeze in the evening as the sun began to set.
Montazah Park housed Montaza Palace, a summer palace of the late King Fuad I having the mixture of Ottoman & Florentine styles.
Montazah Park was originally the garden of the palace but has long been opened for public access to enjoy the view of the sea and the palace itself.
There are many things in life you tend to forget but the experience of witnessing the beautiful sunset in the luxury garden of palace Montazah has a way of keep lingering in your memory.

Egypt
The atmospheric, narrow lanes of the capital's Islamic Cairo district are crammed full of mosques, madrassas (Islamic schools of learning), and monuments dating from the Fatimid through to the Mameluke eras.
This is where you'll find the labyrinth shopping souk of Khan el-Khalili, where coppersmiths and artisans still have their tiny workshops, and stalls are laden with ceramics, textiles, spice, and perfume.
Surrounding the market is a muddle of roads, home to some of the most beautiful preserved architecture of the old Islamic empires.

Alexander
Alexander is the largest seaport in Egypt, the second largest city in Egypt, and a historic city. The summer resort on the Mediterranean coast is known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean.
Today Alexander is a city that combines ancient and modern, traditional Islamic culture and Western civilization. Many ancient Greek and ancient Roman monuments are scattered throughout the corner. Western-style churches and mosques symbolizing Eastern Islamic civilization are here. The streetscape with European architecture is fascinating, and the towering spires and spherical roofs of the mosques in the complex also have a flavor.
The two sides of the promenade are the Summer Palace and the Kate Bay Castle built on the site of the Alexander Lighthouse, in the middle of the famous Alexandria Library.
Recommended stay time: 3 days
Transportation: The city of Alexandria is concentrated and the main attractions are not far from the train station. You can take the tram or bus. The tram is divided into two types: blue and yellow: the blue body travels east, the yellow body goes west, and most of the sights can be reached.

Far away f
Far away from the hustle and bustle of Luo, in the northwest of Egypt, close to Libya, there is a quiet and beautiful small town - Matru, built on the coast of the city, with the world's bluest Mediterranean.
ageeba beach in Matru, a seaside town in northwestern Egypt, is far from the city centre and has not been developed yet, so it remains intact.
ageeba beach has a wonderful bay, natural reefs surround the clear blue water, look down from the cliff like a natural square swimming pool, look to the right to see the distant sea and sky, even if It is the heart of depression that will be broken and integrated into it to be cured.

"Matru's b
"Matru's beach is the bluest and most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my life." Many friends who have been to Egypt have recommended Mattru to me. I am arrogant that this is the bluest sea in the world, and the blue is incredible. I also questioned the world's bluest sea at first? This compliment is a bit exaggerated, until I stand on the cliff of Matru Beach overlooking the ocean, like the rich blue in Impressionist oil painting, it instantly becomes the most beautiful sea I have seen so far.
It takes less than two minutes to walk from the hotel to the beach. When the sea comes into view, it feels that there is only blue and white in the world. Blue is a flawless gem, white is a silk that shines brightly. When it is blue and white, it will become the Mediterranean. Of course, there is absolutely no garbage that cannot be ignored.
On the edge of this long beach, I found a tree that was blown by the wind. It stood alone on the beach, accompanied by the blue sky and the sea. I walked over and it was a strange surprise. Tango, it is my best dance partner.

Egypt is t
Egypt is the most cost-effective country by many global travellers. If you can stay in a five-star hotel for a few hundred yuan, you can eat a seafood dinner for a few tens of dollars. We will have a whimsy. If you live in Egypt, you should be cool. . When we arrived in Alexandria, the second largest city in Egypt, we implemented this crazy idea and rented a room next to the Egyptian summer palace. As soon as we went out, we could see the palace.
The Egyptian Summer Palace was originally called Montazah Palace. It is the palace of the last king of Egypt, Farouk. It is located in a dense forest, adjacent to the sea, surrounded by sweet jujube trees, surrounded by greenery. Surrounded by, summer has also become a summer resort for the royal family. Even though we arrived in winter, if we are lucky, we might meet an Egyptian prince or princess.
Although the Summer Palace only accepts the royal family, the nearby Mamula Beach is half-open. People living in the Xia Gong Scenic Area can enter and exit freely with the access card, while other tourists need to purchase tickets for 15 yuan. Can come in. This beautiful private beach has slowly become a leisure place for Alexander. On sunny days, many couples and families drive to the wilderness.

Alexandria
I went on a family trip to a resort on the seaside of Alexandria. It's about a 3-hour drive from Cairo, and the seaside road feels like Busan.
우리편
Just on the Mediterranean shore 🌊 !
It's one of the very few resorts in Alexandria that's literally on the shore side of Mediterranean. You don't have to cross the road your room, pool and the whole resort is on the beach side of Alexandria just next to the famous Stanley bridge and almost all rooms are sea view.
Food is nice. Service and cleanliness are very good.
Overall, it's very good stay for the price they offer. It's better to skip july & augest as Alexandria gets very very crowded and fairs get so much higher.
