[If you want to walk in a quiet place, Antequera
After arriving in Malaga, I got on the bus for two days in a row. Later, my friends who were going to join me asked me to travel around Malaga with them, so I wandered around the suburbs alone, which they didn't want to do. Ronda, a city on a cliff, had a hard time getting rid of the feeling of being a tourist destination. There were so many tourists, restaurant staff hawking customers, and even tourist goods stores... It was a really noisy and bustling town. Most tourists travel to Ronda and visit other places, but I wanted to go to a place that people don't go to often. I just wanted to walk around quietly.
As you can see in the picture, it's really hard to find people here. Only occasionally do local residents appear. The blue sky, orange trees, and birdsong made me feel like I was on a movie set. I turned on Google Maps and walked toward the Alcazaba. The stairs and the stairs were so warm that I felt hot even though I came in the middle of winter. As I slowly climbed the hill and looked out at the city center in the distance, I felt proud of myself for choosing this place. The Alcazaba Castle in Antequera is the main tourist attraction. This place, which was first occupied by Catholic forces when they overthrew Islamic forces, is located in the center of Antequera, and you can see white brick houses and Baroque cathedrals at a glance. I recommend listening to an audio guide and slowly exploring this castle.
On weekends, most restaurants and shops are closed, and there are very few people, so it is a city that is very polarizing. However, if you are tired of crowded places, I recommend you visit here boldly. You will be able to return to the city with a warm heart.
