The Amazing Cuevona Cave – A Hidden Gem in Asturias 🌍⛰️
If you're ever in Asturias, Cuevona Cave is an absolute must-see! 🏞️ I visited during the spring holidays, and I was blown away by how massive it is. 🌸 The most interesting thing about this cave is that a road actually goes through it 🚗, which makes it feel like you're driving through nature itself! But trust me, walking through it on foot is the best way to fully experience its great grandeur. 👣
The cave is one of the largest I’ve ever visited – the sheer size of it is mind-blowing. It’s like stepping into another world, with its impressive rock formations and the feeling of history all around. 🌑🌟 I loved how peaceful it was inside, and the cool air made it perfect for a leisurely walk.

Why does a small city become the crown on the Spanish flag?
[RedHeart] In Spain, Asturias is a small city. It is not as lively and avant-garde as Barcelona, nor does it have the international influence of a capital like Madrid. It is small, low-key and unknown, but fortunately it has retained a strong local flavor.
[RedHeart] With mountains on one side and the sea on the other, the special geographical environment has brought it rich products and culture. It has ancient pre-era buildings and statues, fresh seafood, delicious blue cheese and cool, crisp wine. Ancient traditions and modern vitality coexist harmoniously here.
[RedHeart] They say you'll never find another place like Asturias in Spain. They say it is as complete and rich as a country.

An Underrated Holiday Gem
#hiddengems
The Asturias is a unique region in northern Spain that has its own language, culture and food. It has some of the best sceneries in northern Spain. I was lucky to enjoy some hiking trails with friends in the picos de europa. There is a lot of greenery to be found here.
Those green pastures explain why the region is known for dairy products. More articularly milk, cheese and yoghurts, and has even earned the nickname of Pais de Quesos, Land of Cheeses. One of the most popular is cabrales – a blue-veined cheese made from a mixture of cow’s, goat’s and sheep’s milk. There’s even a cheese route you can follow, to visit dairy farms and see how it gets made, including how it’s aged in ancient cheese caves.
The capital city is a wonderful destination with medical churches, monuments and a lively restaurant scene. Gijon on the coast is another worthy stop I can remember. The best part are those seaside towns. The more popular ones being Lastres and Cudillero. I don't even know how i still remember those names. But a holiday to this hidden gem of a region comes recommended. #hiddengems #asturias #northspain #vivaespania
