We booked a three-bedroom loft apartment, and it was exactly as shown in the pictures—everything was clean and tidy. From the bedroom windows, you can see mountains and lakes on three sides, and from the living room balcony, you can see the village of Hallstatt. The rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and cooking. The owners provide essentials like tea, coffee, salt, sugar, and basic cooking oil. The apartment also has many games, puzzles, and books that my children loved. They also have a sun deck by the lake, which is a great spot for a quick picnic. The apartment is very close to all the places you want to visit in Hallstatt, yet it is very quiet and away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Hallstatt Lahn (bus/boat station) is a 4-minute walk from the apartment, and we had no trouble dragging our suitcases from there to the apartment. There is a children's park 50 meters from the apartment, which the kids loved. Supermarkets and restaurants are also nearby. The owners are very nice. They live on the first floor. They helped us move our luggage to the second floor (where we stayed) and let us use the washing machine (+ dryer) where we washed all our clothes. They even brought some bread so the kids could feed the swans on the sun deck. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Hallstatt.

Came here for a night whilst solo backpacking. A day for me is enough to see the highlights of Vienna. Night life was okayish to be honest. But sightseeings are so pretty. One thing that we like the most when we go abroad is walking around convenience stores. We get to walk around and see food, local products, and get excited about things that are different from our home country. This is the charm of traveling abroad. Today, we will take you to Unimarkt. Everything here closes very early. From 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., they start to close. So we have to hurry. There are a lot of products here: vegetables, fruits, bakery goods, bread, condiments, drinking water, soft drinks, fresh food. One of the things I was most looking forward to during my trip to Austria was climbing the Alps in Innsbruck! The actual view of the Alps unfolding before my eyes was beyond imagination, and the snow-covered scenery that seemed to touch the sky made me feel completely refreshed. In Innsbruck, you can take the Funicular (mountain railway) to ascend the Alps. The Funicular is free for one round trip with the Innsbruck Pass, but if you don't have the pass, you can purchase tickets at the ticket office opposite the boarding station for €47 per adult. The panoramic snowy landscape, dazzling white mountains stretching endlessly, and the feeling of being above the clouds—looking down felt like floating on a cloud. It's a perfect photo spot where every shot looks like a masterpiece! At that moment, all the fatigue from traveling seemed to vanish. The wind was chilly, but the air was so fresh and crisp that I spent a long time just gazing at the scenery in a daze. After descending one level by cable car, I found a ski resort! Although I didn't ski, I heard that sledding was free to use, so I decided to give it a try right away.

It was like a time machine—Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque… every turn brought a new surprise. ✨ Golden Lane felt magical—legend has it that alchemists used to live there. I even ran into a guy dressed like a wizard trying to tell my fortune 😅… I ran off real quick. 🦴 The Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Church) sounds creepy, but the bone decorations were so artistically arranged that they actually looked beautiful and delicate—more like fine art than anything spooky. 🏰 Český Krumlov The castle was like something out of a fairy tale. From the tower, you could see red-roofed houses and the winding Vltava River below—it was picture perfect! We were chasing pigeons by the river and almost bumped into an old lady feeding bread crumbs—chaotic but hilarious 😂 🍺 Pilsner Brewery We toured the whole beer-making process, and got to sample freshly brewed beer at the end! One of my friends got a bit tipsy and insisted on posing with the brewing tanks—those photos still crack us up. 📍Austria 🎶 Hallstatt This is the actual filming location for The Sound of Music! The lake was so clear we could see fish swimming around. We tried singing the movie songs by the water but were hilariously off-key 😂 🏛️ Schönbrunn Palace The gardens were massive! Fountains, sculptures, flowerbeds… it felt like a maze. Our legs were dying, but the beauty was totally worth it. 📍Hungary ⛪ Fisherman's Bastion So stunning and photogenic! We grabbed coffees at the nearby Starbucks, sat in the sun, and just soaked in the views of the beautiful architecture and the people passing by. It was such a relaxing moment ☕🌞 Literally every photo looked like a postcard! 🌍 This trip was by far my favorite getaway of the year! With its grand Gothic-style interior, you’ll find yourself thinking, "Ah, this is the true Austrian vibe!" The atmosphere is simply stunning. A Place Frequented by Historical Figures Café Central isn’t just a tourist attraction; it’s also famous for being a favorite spot of historical figures like Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, and Leon Trotsky. Waiting in Line vs. Online Reservations Given its popularity, the wait time can be quite long. I personally waited over 40 minutes… 😭 Standing outside the café, I was silently pleading, "Please, people ahead of me, leave quickly!" But everyone seemed to want to linger and enjoy the ambiance. Thankfully, you can make online reservations via Google Maps, so if you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend booking in advance! Austrian Breakfast (€14.50) Croissant + Bread + Butter + Raspberry Jam + Tea I ordered the Austrian breakfast, and to my surprise, the raspberry jam was absolutely delicious. When I spread it on the bread, I thought, "Wow, this is sexy food!" The croissant was crispy yet soft, making it a perfect light breakfast. Since I don’t drink coffee, I paired it with orange juice, which turned out to be a great combination. Cake (€6.90) Since I was already there, I decided to try a cake as well. Honestly, it was a bit underwhelming—too sweet for my taste. (Apparently, Café Central is more famous for its coffee and ambiance rather than its desserts.) Still, the experience of enjoying dessert in such a magnificent space was worthwhile.
